Summary: We have a pool now!  Summer fun for everyone!
Warnings: Probably none.

[It's summer, and what would summer be without a pool?  Well, thankfully for the good citizens and Visitors of Hinoto-Ri, the public pool is finally open for business!  With three different pools, a snack bar, and plenty of space on the grass for playing frisbee or just laying out to get some sun, there's plenty of summertime fun for everyone!  There are also a number of pool toys to use, ranging from basketball hoops and plastic balls, water noodles, boogie boards, and just about anything else you can think of.]

"He would say, 'May your death be as stylish as mine.' before he went out. The irony was he was shot in the back by an admiral that was supposedly on our side. I kind of wonder what he would think of the state of affairs back home sometimes."

"...that's not stylish at all..." Midori sighs. "But, it's good to think of people who've left us."

"If you believe in ghosts, when that admiral died he was screaming Gai's name, maybe that was something. I don't really believe in them though so I can't say for sure."

"I believe in demons, does that count?"

[electricyousei]

"I don't know? Demons seem to be a thing in this world, they weren't on mine. But given how he died thinking he was piloting a Gekiganger.... I can't say."

"I guess believing in anything depends on where you believe it is."

[electricyousei]

"With me I generally need to see it first."

[prettytamer]

"I guess that's one way of looking at it."

[electricyousei]

"Its how I was trained. Its why this place gives me so many headaches."

[prettytamer]

"I'm sure that's not the only reason."

[electricyousei]

"No, there are other reasons too, but being 200 years in the past would do that to anyone."

"Is it really that far back? It seems a little advanced to me."

[electricyousei]

"I was born in 2185 CE so yes. Its a bit behind what I'm used to."

[prettytamer]

"Wow, you're old."

Pause.

"Future-old? Young?

[electricyousei]

"I'm 16."

[prettytamer]

"You seem older. Eheh, so you're only about a year older than me!"

[electricyousei]

"I get that a lot. Maybe it was the schooling."

[prettytamer]

"I got a pretty regular education..."

[electricyousei]

"I didn't. I don't remember much about it, but it was very intense."

[prettytamer]

"Super homeschooling?"

[electricyousei]

"Raised in a genetics lab under an intense program from birth."

[prettytamer]

"I guess those are similar?"

[electricyousei]

".....No. Intensive study for 12 hours a day, meals for another 2, 1 hour of socialization, 1 hour of introspection and 8 of sleep."

[prettytamer]

"That sounds terrible!" Midori doesn't think about whether she should or should not be speaking her mind on this matter.

"The students that didn't wash out or go crazy from it all were sold to various corporations and that was that. If its all you know its not terrible."
