Summary: We have a pool now!  Summer fun for everyone!

[It's summer, and what would summer be without a pool?  Well, thankfully for the good citizens and Visitors of Hinoto-Ri, the public pool is finally open for business!  With three different pools, a snack bar, and plenty of space on the grass for playing frisbee or just laying out to get some sun, there's plenty of summertime fun for everyone!  There are also a number of pool toys to use, ranging from basketball hoops and plastic balls, water noodles, boogie boards, and just about anything else you can think of.]

I read somewhere that most pool water is generally around 0.5% urea.

It'd probably depend on the pool though, don't you think? I could see that being true for a shallower one where you have kids who probably shouldn't even be in the pool to start with.

[He snags a stray pool noodle, adding it to his first one. Maybe he can make a raft...]

How'd you learn how to swim? Took lessons when you were a kid?

Yup! It was a while ago, but it's not so hard to remember again once you're in the water.

That's what most people say, but they never seem to be able to explain how swimming works, exactly.

[Atsuro gives a small shrug.]

You mean besides the general rule of trying to stay afloat?

My rule is 'hold on to the noodle'. I'm sure other people have different rules, but they don't explain it very well.

Hey - It's not like I sink immediately or anything. I know about treading water.

Just treading water for a while like that doesn't sound too interesting...

If swimming gives you so much trouble, you should just find someone to teach you.

It hasn't really been on my list of priorities.

[Atsuro gives a small shrug.]

And I really don't think I have to worry about drowning in Hinoto-Ri. We aren't exactly near an ocean.

You say that now, but just you wait until the Aquarius event comes and we're all left to drown!

Aquarius was back in January! I've got half a year before it swings around again.

More like you only have half a year. Let it go for too long and you could seriously find yourself in trouble!

Enki is strong against Water. I'll be fine.

[This is perfectly logical naturally Atsuro will now be capable of breathing underwater. He paddles a little bit away from Hizumi now.]

So your Persona lets you breathe under water? That's a useful skill.

[Meanwhile, Hizumi's pulling himself up onto his makeshift noodle raft.]

...I never said that. It just means I'm, uh, more resistant.

Enki can control water, so I guess I'm counting on him redirecting it somewhere else outside my lungs.

I'll just count myself fortunate that I will definitely, without a doubt survive any flooding problems we might have.

How's that? Even expert swimmers drown in floods sometimes.

But I wouldn't be one of them.

A long lost race of underwater dwelling Taiko Masters forgotten by the ravages of time?

Underwater dwelling Taiko Masters? That's expecting too much, isn't it? Figuring out how to create drums that won't be badly effected by the pressure, and having to make sure there isn't so much moisture that they get ruined... How would we even be able to practice while having to worry about those things?

It's part of your underwater Taiko master magical powers. ...You shouldn't try and deny it; it will just make the revelation worse when it comes out.
