Science. Science and the inquiring mind has kept humanity on the path of progress for hundreds of thousands of years. What could make science rule harder?

A science showcase, of course! What better way spark the curiosity of the young and old by showing off the scientific achievements of the community. You have your things for the kids, your potato batteries and baking soda volcanoes and what-have-you, you have your higher-brow showcases of what the Department of Wands has been working on, your informative panels delving into biology, physics, chemistry and astronomy. There's even free food, including some molecular gastronomy creations for the...adventurous. There are even topics your average Visitor wouldn't think fell under the realms of science.

Such as? Why, like how Personas work (with explanations that aren't just "It's Magic") or discussions about demons, where they might come from, how they're different and similar to humans, how they use magic, and so on.

What kind of things will you and your friends discover? Perhaps you or someone you know is setting up an exhibit?

Regardless, enjoy the science fair and have fun!

"Um, some of the Personas I've seen are literally just normal creatures from my home world - is that normal?"

"Yes! What may be normal to you may be imaginary in another universe. Since the Velvet Room is not confined to a time, place or universe, it somehow gathers from all of the collective unconsciousness."

Kotoha mulls that over before asking another question.

"Is it possible for someone or something you personally know to be your Persona?"

"Yes, especially if they were or are important to you. There are a few documented Persona users who have family members, family pets or friends as their Persona. Unfortunately, more times than not, it is also because that person is dead. In a way they 'live on' with that person."

"Thanks for that. Um...so if this Philemon person is some sort of psychic gestalt entity, where exactly does he live? And is the Velvet Room in the same place?"

"We're not sure. We think so, and we think the Velvet room is part of the collective subconsciousness, or at least an area close to it, but scientifically, we cannot prove anything."

"Oh, so it's in the Interdream Zone? That does make sense."

[hinoto_ri]

"The Interdream Zone? Is that something common in your original world?"

[unbroken_chain]

"Yeah, it's a sort of parallel dimension between the border of this world and the world of dreams. There's a lady, I think her name is Professor Burnet, who studies it - she specializes in retrieving objects and living beings that get lost in there. A friend of mine works as her assistant, and he sends me stuff from there every so often."

"I see! That could have been a branch of the collective subconsciousness actually!" Oh wow, this sounded super exciting, wow!

"Do you think we could talk more in detail about this later?"

"Sure thing!"
