Science Rules! The Science and Knowledge Expo Kicks into Full Force!

Where: The entire city
When: June 8th-15th
Summary: Science and Knowledge Exop in the Leo Ward.
Warnings: That depends who is there. Remember to mark your titles clearly if any warnings need to be issued!
▼ You know what rules?
A science showcase, of course! What better way spark the curiosity of the young and old by showing off the scientific achievements of the community. You have your things for the kids, your potato batteries and baking soda volcanoes and what-have-you, you have your higher-brow showcases of what the Department of Wands has been working on, your informative panels delving into biology, physics, chemistry and astronomy. There's even free food, including some molecular gastronomy creations for the...adventurous. There are even topics your average Visitor wouldn't think fell under the realms of science.
Such as? Why, like how Personas work (with explanations that aren't just "It's Magic") or discussions about demons, where they might come from, how they're different and similar to humans, how they use magic, and so on.
What kind of things will you and your friends discover? Perhaps you or someone you know is setting up an exhibit?
Regardless, enjoy the science fair and have fun!
[OOC: You are allowed to start a thread if you want your character to have a booth / hold a topic in a private room, or just do threads where you go around visiting. Projects and seminars are varied! "Well...that is our dilemma right now, and what we are working on. I wish the answer was much easier, but fighting an entity with that much power is not something we are quite prepared to take on. No doubt that Nyarlathotep knows this too, and is fighting against any progress we make."

In other words, much like the rest of the populace, they hadn't the least idea how to begin. Atsuro notes the scribbling and half-wonders if he will live to see the development of a cat cannon. He further half-wonders whether or not it would be worth sticking around in Hinoto-Ri for the long run for the sole purpose of seeing the deployment of said cannon.
"Well. I guess you can't answer what you don't know."
A short pause as Atsuro flips through his own notebook.
"...Can we go back to the Persona-stuff again? You explained that there are two types of Persona, but you only really explained the mechanical difference. How do they differ in meaning? Why are they representations of our soul if they can be swapped around like trading cards?"

"Oh that's an easy question to answer!" she said with a grin, standing a little more upright. "We all wear different 'masks' each day, correct? While your Soul Perosna is the closest aspect of your personality, think of the common ones more as much smaller aspects of you. When you're angry, when you're pretending not to be offended by something, when you're putting up a brave facade...those are all different pieces of you."

That had been something like what he was thinking, but it was nice to get confirmation. The topic had arisen several times in conversations past, and hemming and hawing about 'there's a little bit of eldritch abomination in all of us' had been less than convincing, even in his own head.
"And, er..."
He pauses for a moment with a slightly embarrassed flush.
"Then, er... what does it mean if your Soul Persona... changes?"

Atsuro is acutely aware of the sudden attention focused upon him.
"Well, I mean, it didn't really change. It's still... Enki. It just swapped colors around a little and put on some more clothes. ...Do you think Soul Persona can change outright?"

"So he morphed? That's amazing! We heard stories of that happened before but nothing in Hinoto-Ri itself yet...as for if they can change completely, we're not sure but..."

"I wouldn't say morphed, exactly, er. More... makeover...ed? Madeovered?"
Alas they were going to shut him up in a lab now he knew how these types of things went. He ponders if there is still time to write a will leaving all of his belongings to the assiduous care of Kazuya.

"Logically, it makes sense for the human soul to evolve. Nothing more, nothing else. Not a particular cause for us to spend resources researching, as it will undoubtedly happen to others."

Atsuro's real reaction could be summed up with some combination of 'what' and '?', but for the moment, he would cling to the thought that what had happened was commonplace.
"And so... a Persona makeover probably means... I've become more fashion-conscious."
This is neither true nor reflective of what he actually thought at all, but he had to say something.

Yes perfect conclusion. The awkward pause continues for a few more moments before Atsuro frantically flips through his notebook and clears his throat.
"So! ...Your thoughts on the Destiny Strings as they relate to the Personae and on our physical presence in this world!"
