Farewell Happy Fields!

Farewell Happy Fields!

☯

What: Aftermath of Anoli Attack: Hospital
Where: Leo Ward - Caduceus Hospital Headquarters
Summary: It is the aftermath of the Anoli attack on the Closing Ceremonies. The injured have been taken to Caduceus Hospital Headquarters, and it is time for reflection, visting, or old-fashioned escapes from the hospital rooms.
Warnings: Mild squick if people want to describe their wounds in explicit detail.

Caduceus Hospital Headquarters. It has a distinguished history within Hinoto-Ri, boasting of a staff of well-trained Healers, as well as possessing the most cutting edge medical technology possible. There was no limb they couldn't reattach, no organ they couldn't replace... - they even claimed to be able to bring someone back from the dead (with the small disclaimer that it could only occur under certain conditions and with an obscene amount of luck).

So needless to say, the hospital was more than well-equipped to deal with the aftermath of the Anoli attack on the Closing Ceremonies.

---

Nearly every hospital bed had been filled by an injured patient that night. The A&E room had been in constant chaos, with civilians crying and shouting, searching for loved ones, or demanding to see doctors or healers to help so-and-so...

There had also been plenty of reporters milling about, shouting and crying over the status of the Mayor's Secretary, and whether the Red Lion had really died at the scene, or if he was still alive and well within the safety of the hospital's ICU.

By the time morning broke, there was a false sense of tranquillity within the hospital. The healers had been pushed to their limits with the sheer number of patients being wheeled in and out of surgery, but otherwise, the situation had finally gotten under control. Now, both civilians and visitors were merely waiting for word of the conditions of their injured friends and family...

[Welcome to the winding down of the event! You are now at the hospital, where you may be visiting the injured, or be one of the injured yourself! Those with RED injuries will be in the ICU, and those with YELLOW injures will be in normal wards, for obvious reasons. Those with GREEN injuries wouldn't have had to go to the hospital at all, so they are free to come and go as they wish!

You may all start your threads and mingle!]

late but HI

[Injuries? Such a thing is very new to Mia's experience. Even though in The World she could experience pain for every blow dealt to her by monster or PC, there was never any lasting damage aside from a depleted health bar, which could instantly be restored with a healing item.

Mia's quite nosy, and being able to coerce her way into Haseo's room was difficult enough. (Being a human-sized purple cat makes a lot of normal tasks and lies very difficult, sometimes.) But lo, there she is!]

So you were there. I saw you.
bladedskies: (okay now I'm confused too.)

hhhhiiiiiiiiiii

[That sure is a funny-looking Lei Tribe gal!]

Uh...yeah? Do I know you?
beautifulmemory: (Do you want to know?)

enjoy some totally terrible social skills from Mia here

Not at all. Mind if I take a look?
bladedskies: (great. surrounded by idiots.)

Mia no staap

[personal profile] bladedskies 2013-02-01 03:24 pm (UTC)(link)
"A -- look? What the hell are you talking about?" Oh, the issues of having a busted leg when there was a weirdo in your room!

At how you sustain damage! I want to see. I've never seen it before. I've got to know.
bladedskies: (we are not having this conversation)

[personal profile] bladedskies 2013-02-05 04:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Not from me you don't! [She attempts - and fails - to scoot away from the creeper.]
beautifulmemory: (Joy)

[personal profile] beautifulmemory 2013-02-05 04:21 pm (UTC)(link)
I won't hurt you, Haseo. I hate pain. I just want to see the "injury".
bladedskies: (we are not having this conversation)

[personal profile] bladedskies 2013-02-06 02:56 am (UTC)(link)
And I would really prefer it if you didn't!
beautifulmemory: (Fascinating)

1/2

[personal profile] beautifulmemory 2013-02-06 03:04 am (UTC)(link)
[Hmm... she really needs to approach this in a different way, doesn't she?]
beautifulmemory: (Can't you see?)

[personal profile] beautifulmemory 2013-02-06 03:06 am (UTC)(link)
I'm sorry. I must be upsetting you, huh... I apologize... profusely.
bladedskies: (one good turn deserves my dying)

[personal profile] bladedskies 2013-02-06 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
It's...

[It's not like she feels bad for upsetting a total stranger!!!]

...not your fault. It doesn't seem like you could've known that - sometimes folks are a little sensitive about these things.
beautifulmemory: (Can't you see?)

[personal profile] beautifulmemory 2013-02-06 03:11 am (UTC)(link)
You see, I've never seen an injury. I wanted to see it. Because I don't know what might happen, should I be hit. That is why I asked. Do you understand?
bladedskies: (Default)

o hay I am in ur thread using one of ur pictures for a tag thanks again

[personal profile] bladedskies 2013-02-06 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, gotcha. [There's a bit of a pause as she mulls that over.] Even if I wanted to show you the injuries, the doctors would give both of us holy hell if I did. Not supposed to remove the bandages until they're healed up, apparently. .... Still...

[It's one of the scars that she actually doesn't consider a problem to show, mostly because it's there all the time. She brushes her bangs out of the way and points at a scar slicing down her left eyebrow.]

Most of the time, injuries heal without leaving one of these behind. Sometimes it happens. They're scars, and they don't hurt, but some of the more severe ones scare the hell out of people.
beautifulmemory: (Fascinating)

good that's what they're for

[personal profile] beautifulmemory 2013-02-06 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
[Mia leans in quite a bit close, no respect for personal space.]

So they aren't as permanent as they seem. It just takes a longer time to recover?
bladedskies: (we are not having this conversation)

[personal profile] bladedskies 2013-02-06 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
[GAH--- BACK UP! BACK UP! Well, if you won't back up, Haseo will!]

Yeah, basically. Unless they're too serious, that is. Like...losing a limb, there's nothing that can fix that. If you lose your head or get sliced open in the stomach, you're dead. Same goes if you lose too much blood.
beautifulmemory: (Do you want to know?)

[personal profile] beautifulmemory 2013-02-06 03:36 am (UTC)(link)
[There's only so far you can go into those pillows!]

So easy to die, then, huh. What a painful world.

[...She has not quite grasped that it's permanent.]
bladedskies: (we are not having this conversation)

[personal profile] bladedskies 2013-02-06 03:39 am (UTC)(link)
[Let Haseo fill you in on people dying when they are killed, then!]

Yeah, death's the worst part of it. If coming back from the dead were as easy as going to the hospital...

[She pauses, a slight crack to her voice in those last words. Welp. Personal subject. Let's get away from that, shall we?]

Point is, it isn't, so that's why folks try not to get killed.
beautifulmemory: (Who're you?)

[personal profile] beautifulmemory 2013-02-06 03:45 am (UTC)(link)
Oh? There's a condition for reviving yourself?
bladedskies: (great. surrounded by idiots.)

[personal profile] bladedskies 2013-02-06 03:48 am (UTC)(link)
[...She gives you a funny look at that, Mia.]

No, there isn't. You die, you stay dead. That's how it's always been.

[Barring incidents, like, y'know, being dragged to Hinoto-Ri oops.]
