Summary: The Time of Truthiness is upon Hinoto-Ri!

It begins. A strange aura spreads out over Hinoto-Ri, stealing into the hearts, minds, and mouths of every denizen of the city, changing them - embiggening their souls with the power of TRUTHINESS.

For one week, Hinoto-Ri becomes a city where no lies can exist. Who is responsible for this? Will their dedication to ABSOLUTE TRUTHINESS bring them victory...or defeat?

Atsuro seems supremely unsurprised at seeing Midori with her camera out as he approaches on the sidewalk. He had spent a lazy Sunday afternoon wandering around the electronics district.

"How's it going?"

"I'm willing to blame the city's weird things for this if you are."

Because how else did you react to people casually admitting they were tempted to grope you.

[prettytamer]

"It's going okay! Although earlier today someone mentioned that they wanted to grope me and I'm ninety-nine percent sure there's this weird thing going on that makes everybody tell the truth."

Midori looks a little embarrassed. "Like that."

[bondsofsuffering]

[A short exhale. And then:]

No matter what, even if it's another world-- I can't go against him.

[And with that, he goes.]

[Midori taps her pencil against her chin.]

Do you want ice cream?

[hachitaro]

Whose? I'll fight them for you.

[Not that... he's much of a fighter. He chuckles, and gives him another squeeze.]

And I'm glad I know you. Know about you. Whatever. I can't claim to totally understand what's going on, but I'm here.

"...Um."

Atsuro has nothing to respond to that for a few moments but stunned silence.

"Wow. OK. ...Looks like it's time to shut myself up in my room for a week again."

His default response to these kinds of things.

"Did you kick him in the face?"

Kotoha nods, still not trusting herself to actually speak.

[prettytamer]

"It was a girl, and no, I didn't." Midori sighs. "Maybe we should both just stay in our rooms for a while."

[prettytamer]

"...The moth ride still seems cool! Um, if you want to do it still."

[bondsofsuffering]

Even if you try, there's no way you can beat him. Even if you try, you can't stop him. He'll just use you like he does with everyone else.

[He's tried. He tried so hard.

As for Taro's opinion on him... he just remains silent.]

Kotoha slowly holds up one finger in a 'wait' gesture before drawing out another sphere.

"I'll...ride something...else."

She speaks slowly, waiting for her words to twist on her again. When she manages to get to the end of the sentence without saying anything else mortifying, she quickly triggers the sphere and releases a UFO. Swinging herself on top of the robot's dome, she addresses the moth.

"Solar Logos, give her a smooth ride, okay?"

After a little bit of figuring out how to do so without hurting the moth (probably), Midori climbs on Solar Logos's back.

"I'm ready when you are!"

Well, she said she wouldn't actually molest her, so Midori's willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. Besides, she was a cam girl, lots of people thought she was attractive.

[That's surprising. She blinks and stare at him.]

What do you mean?

[Nano's far too trusting and naive to really notice much of anything going wrong, and generally honest about most things that don't have to do with her robotic nature. It's going to take her a while to figure out what's happening, so anyone who wants to know her deep, dark secrets should probably ask her before she does.

She can be found in various places throughout town during the week - at the Pisces apartments where she lives, the Ichiban Market doing her grocery shopping, the front desk of the Amagi Inn, and even out and about during the 13th Hour as she does her part to help fight demons and monsters.]

Look. Normally it's fun to mess with you, and sometimes I even like to see you exploring new things, but I really shouldn't talk about this right now.

[That came out more candid than intended.]

Are you attempting to initiate one of those events wherein one friend brings the other out for "comfort food"? I do not believe I am distressed enough to require that, and I do not wish to impose.

It's telling that it took her a long time to figure out how to respond to this, and she looked very focused as she did so.

Now she just looks puzzled instead of potentially upset. ... Success?

That's kind of weird, not knowing what you want. No offense though.

Midori taps her chin again before adding: Have you had ice cream before?

Okay so Kotoha will just lead the way while crouched on top of Tesla and refusing to actually speak out loud.

The Magnezone is nowhere near as fast as Solar Logos but does have the benefit of greater maneuverability, which doesn't actually...matter all that much right now. It's not long before the small group is on top of a particularly tall building with a generous view of the surrounding area. As Kotoha swings off of Tesla's dome, she addresses Midori, her face still slightly pink and her tone uncertain.

"So, uh, is this a good overview? If you want to take photos from actual mid-air, you're better off riding Tesla, since he's better at holding steady."

[Aoi walks on over, her eyes going briefly to the violin.]

Midori nods and snaps a few shots of the surroundings.

"Thank you! It sucks that the city's being weird today, but I'm still thankful for the ride on your giant moth."
