It begins. A strange aura spreads out over Hinoto-Ri, stealing into the hearts, minds, and mouths of every denizen of the city, changing them - embiggening their souls with the power of TRUTHINESS.

"I'm compiling a list of all the data points for the city and where the strongest signals are coming from."

[prettytamer]

"Why are you doing that?"

[electricyousei]

"Well, firstly I'd like to be able to defend Omoikane should another virus outbreak happen. He still is unhappy that I simply killed every external feed and left the Nadesico virtually blind. That and I don't trust the people that run this place, not because they're evil but because they come across as incompetent, so I'd like to know what physical hardware is available if I should need to hastily build a backup network."

[prettytamer]

"I don't completely trust the government here either, mostly because I have a bad history with the government being in league with angels and orchestrating a lockdown that got a lot of people killed."

Pause.

"Did you know there's a truth effect on the city right now?"

[electricyousei]

"No, but I don't like to lie anyways. Information will get out anyways and secrets only cause people to not be able to work together."

[prettytamer]

"Okay, I just mention it because you could have some super secret you weren't even admitting to yourself, or something."

[electricyousei]

"The closest things I have to secrets are that I'm a princess and idol singer back home, and those are less secrets and more just stupid things that aren't relevant to anything."

She shrugs a bit.

[prettytamer]

"You're an idol singer? Really?"

Guess which of those Midori found more interesting.

[electricyousei]

"I was for a few years. I don't really do it much. It seems silly."

[prettytamer]

"No, no, I think it's cool! But I'm not going to ask you to sing right now because that's like asking a doctor to perform surgery on the spot, it's mean."

[electricyousei]

"Thank you. I understood a lot of it was because it helped military recruitment, but I'm not good at pretending to be friendly."

[prettytamer]

"Your world's a little weird."

[electricyousei]

"No, its very weird, but its my world. At least it doesn't have magic."

She sighs and shakes her head.

[prettytamer]

"Magic isn't weird to me anymore! But it might still be weird, I guess. Sorta."

She's confused on this point too.

[electricyousei]

"It drives me crazy. I can't classify it and it allows people to channel immense amounts of power and trigger them on insubstancials that make little logical sense."

She sighs and shakes her head.

"Why would ANYONE make a defensive barrier that is only defeated with love? Its so random."

[prettytamer]

"Oh, that's easy! Love and justice are the most important things in the world!"

[electricyousei]

"No, I'm fairly certain oxygen and water are the most important things in the world."

[prettytamer]

"They don't count!"

[electricyousei]

"I would think they count more than most. They keep people alive."

[prettytamer]

"But they're so boring."

[electricyousei]

"The are also consistent. Water is always water, it can not be interpreted as ice cream or a doberman pincher."

[prettytamer]

"Sometimes it's ice!"

[electricyousei]

"True, but it's always recognizable as water or some form of water product."

[prettytamer]

"Well love and justice are always love and justice!"
