It begins. A strange aura spreads out over Hinoto-Ri, stealing into the hearts, minds, and mouths of every denizen of the city, changing them - embiggening their souls with the power of TRUTHINESS.
For one week, Hinoto-Ri becomes a city where no lies can exist. Who is responsible for this? Will their dedication to ABSOLUTE TRUTHINESS bring them victory...or defeat?

[Hizumi's honesty is absolutely alien and unwelcome, but not due to disinterest or because Otonashi doesn't want to hear it. Quite the opposite.]
You keep all of this to yourself..! You were just going to tell me that everything was fine again, weren't you?
no subject
[Tch. He'd meant to deny it. He really needs to end this right here and now.]
It's none of your business. I'll be going now.
[And with that, he'll attempt to sidestep Otonashi and make for the door.]
I can't deal with this...
[The impulsive truth still catches him off-guard, but this is the first real glimpse into Hizumi's psyche that he's managed.
So he follows that sidestep, shaking his head.]
You've made it my business. I'll get to the point: why do you want this so badly? Don't do this. Don't pretend like it's fine, or keep it all to yourself. I don't care what your reasons are.
/quietly buries face in hands
No, you're just insisting on making it your business. If you'd just back off, you wouldn't need to get involved.
Don't talk like you know me. You don't know a thing.
[He'll even shove his way past Otonashi if he has to. He is not about to have this conversation.]

[He knows he's treading into dangerous territory, and even if he's shoved, he'll try to hold to his position. Unfortunately, that isn't the easiest when you've only just donated blood.
If he gets hit or shoved down, so be it. He'll cross the violence bridge when he comes to it.]
Maybe I could understand if you'd say something. Anything. Nobody deserves to be that isolated...

[There's just the tiniest pause when he realizes just what he's saying, but he can't quite stop it. Damn it, this isn't how it's supposed to go. Why does he keep saying these things?
Gritting his teeth, he'll try to shoulder past Otonashi. It seems the safest route is just avoiding conversation altogether, and frankly, he'd be fine with that about now.]

Visible conflict creeps onto his face.]
I think I might have-- felt the same thing when I met you.
[Except Hizumi actively pursued an end-- no, not pursued. Pursues. Otonashi had only ever wished to suffer and die in place of someone else, or questioned the worth of his own life. This went deeper.
That hesitation gives Hizumi the opportunity to nudge by, though not without a hitch.]
Oi! Are you ever going to stop running away from this?!
no subject
Keeping his head down and his mouth firmly shut, he quickly makes his escape, leaving the hospital and making towards the apartments.
'Running away?' Not really. If anything, he's running toward his fate. If he could, he'd happily sprint for his own death before anything worse could occur.
Can he really be blamed if he just wants to get it over with?]
