Summary: The Time of Truthiness is upon Hinoto-Ri!

It begins. A strange aura spreads out over Hinoto-Ri, stealing into the hearts, minds, and mouths of every denizen of the city, changing them - embiggening their souls with the power of TRUTHINESS.

For one week, Hinoto-Ri becomes a city where no lies can exist. Who is responsible for this? Will their dedication to ABSOLUTE TRUTHINESS bring them victory...or defeat?

...It's been alright. ...Um. There's a lot to get used to it, but it's nice having a bed and... food wherever you need it and all of that kind of thing. It's mostly just the technology...

You aren't used to it, are you? The things they have here are pretty advanced.

[Lucas still gets confused over how to use the elevator most days he decides could use the exercise and take the stairs.]

I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually. If I spend long enough here...

[He glances around as they continue to walk down the streets. Everything looked much different at night.]

Are we close-by?

Yes, we're nearly there.

[Which is... interesting, since there's just been a long wall for a short while now.]

As a matter of fact... You could say we're already technically there. We just need to reach the gate, first.

Oh!

[Lucas slows down slightly as he glances at the wall beside them.]

Um.

...This is all yours?

It's my family's. We've lived in this house for many generations.

[Might explain the gate that they are now approaching.]

O-Oh. It's... It's really impressive!

[It is. But Lucas seems more intimidated than impressed as he looks up at it. His grip on Aoi's hand tightens a little bit. The gate was bigger than his entire house really.]

It's big, but it's also a little lonely... Maintaining it with only a few people is very difficult, too. I sometimes wish there were more of us...

[She'll go ahead and open up the gate. There's a path to the main door, and around the building itself is an impressive garden, even if it's begun to grow out somewhat.]

[The sight of the garden will allow Lucas to relax slightly, though his steps are still hesitant as he makes his way towards the main door.]

This isn't how all houses look where you come from, is it? Your family must be very important if they live in a place like this...

We're one of the oldest families in the city, but...

There isn't any need to feel nervous about staying here. All of the prestige and status... none of that matters in Hinoto-Ri. If anything, I'm glad for the opportunity to freely give my friends a place to stay when they need it. We certainly have space, after all!

I guess everyone in my town counts as one of the oldest families there since we've all been there from the start. I didn't know it meant very much. Maybe if it had gone on a lot longer, we would have gotten more people...

[In a house full of strangers, on a floor with your traditional tatami mat... It doesn't help that the western style beds they have in the apartments are awfully cozy in comparison. But she'll quickly go about making sure he has enough bedding once they step inside, even if it means sacrificing her own blanket.]

[It's better than in a room alone staring at the ceiling in a building filled with strangers, anyway. Lucas is quite used to sleeping on the floor, though, and the tatami mat certainly adds a level of comfort that he hadn't had the luxury of using in his travels.]

[She pats the futon a few times and is satisfied to see that it doesn't seem to have collected any dust. With that ascertained, she brings it out to lay out on the floor.]

[Lucas is using his incredible psychic powers here to intuit that Aoi is the kind of person who would give up her own bedding.]

It's fine. This is an extra set I bought for someone else, but it turns out he couldn't exactly use it like this...

[Put a pillow over the top and... done!]

[Lucas will blink at that.]

Lucas will not ask about the bird chimera given that it was probably not relevant to anything at all.]

[Lucas will wait until Aoi is out of the room before... taking off his socks and settling down underneath the covers. ...He rolls around back and forth for a few moments, trying not to feel awkward.]

[As promised, she returns with a glass of water, setting it down next to him.]

There you go. I'll be going to my room for now - it's on the second floor. If you need anything, don't be afraid to come up and ask.

[Lucas will nod slightly as he accepts the glass, setting it down beside him.]
