Chaos.

There was no other way to describe the mood in the city, the streets filled with civilians attempting to huddle to the closest safe havens. The demons who had walked a fragile alliance with humans, previously content to stay underground due to the fact that they knew they would be pushed back, suddenly filled the streets - attacking on sight when they saw humans showing themselves to be weak. The darker monsters among them relished in this new opportunity, ignoring humanity's pleas and destroying what little remained of the city's peaceful sanity.

Everywhere, the city was a tumultuous mixture of those still stuck in their childish forms, with some back to their older selves trying to fix what they could and reestablish electrical power and barriers. Some demons, siding with humanity despite everything, aided them by keeping the others at bay. Personas were out in full force, swarming the skies and pushing back invaders. But it simply wasn't enough.

Without a network and all of the news outlets completely silent, everyone was left to fend for themselves... and it wasn't pretty.

The Visitors had to act as fast as they could, still in their child forms or not. There was so much to do, and without any directives. No intel sent to their heads explaining the situation. The Wise Men facility was silent. No one seemed to be answering...

[OOC - Here is the City Page. Your character can be anywhere and either look for clues, help people out or simply try to defend themselves. Remember, there is no electrical power right now, and most of the areas of the city are dark.

It's up to you to decide what to do. Shall you go save civilians, reestablish power, go to the MAGI headquarters? The choices will affect the game. Just know that, tonight, someone you might have thought an ally will declare themselves a foe.

Quite a few less as Desco cuts in, shaping Usatako into a sword and slamming it into a group of Neo-Shadows.

"True Godly Weapon!"

The resulting explosion vaporizes the Heartless as Desco looks over at Nano.

"Sis! It's dangerous out here!"

I know, but that's why I need to fight too! There are people out here who need help!

"You're more important than they are!"

[all_wound_up]

[Nano shakes her head.]

No, Desco-chan. Everyone's lives are important. Everyone has someone who's important to them, and they're all important to someone else. And I'm sure there are lots of people who are important to me out there too. That's why I have to fight.

[tyrantball]

Desco stares searchingly into Nano's eyes for a long moment before turning away.

"...fine. But Desco will never forgive you if you get hurt! Never never never!"

Do you want to come with me, then? We can help keep each other safe.

[Nano smiles, patting Desco on the head.]

Because you're important to me too.

[tyrantball]

She nods in response.

"Desco needs to save her subjects! That means no mercy is allowed, Sis!"

Then let's go protect the city together!

[tyrantball]

"Yes! Desco is stronger when Sis is nearby!"

[all_wound_up]

Come on, then.

[Nano would normally take Desco's hand to travel like this together, but she needs them both for her keyblade. There are plenty of monsters out tonight, so it's likely they'll run into something in fairly short order.]

In short order, there's a massive horde of strange, mottled demons in front of the duo.

"Let's go, Sis."

PERSONA SKILL: Vorpal Blade

Right.

[Nano nods, immediately shifting into a battle stance. Instead of charging into the fray with her keyblade straight away, though, she decides to thin the herd a bit.]

Geppetto-san!

[Her Ultimate Persona's eyes flash, and with the sound of grinding gears, nods to its master. Drawing out a carving knife, the Persona lashes out at the group of demons.]

Dual Persona - Terrifying and Cuddly

As the attack lashes into the group of demons, a pair of them begin emitting a red mist, which quickly coalesces into three more of the demons. Desco narrows her eyes at this and draws out her combat umbrella from...somewhere before drawing on a power she hasn't used too often.

"Mech Taco!"

As the mechanical octopus that represents her bond with Sis materializes, Desco levels her umbrella at the demons.

"Terrifying and Cuddly!"

PERSONA SKILL: Vorpal Blade

[all_wound_up]

[Roughly a third of the demons fall victim to Mech Taco's attack, alternately cowering in fear and attacking the other demons in the group as they advance on Nano and Desco.]

One more time, Geppetto-san!

[Here comes that knife again!]

PERSONA SKILL: Ghastly Wail

Desco dismisses Mech Taco and summons Dragonlord in its place.

"Ghastly Wail!"

PERSONA SKILLS: Life Wave, Aura Wave

[all_wound_up]

[Between Geppetto's follow-up attack and the wave of fear emanating from Dragonlord, the rest of the demons fall before the combined might of Nano and Desco. As the last of the enemies finally fades into the night, a soft glow from Nano's Persona envelops her and Desco, restoring their vitality and magic.]

We did it!

"Yes!"

Desco pauses to consider something before her two primary tentacles bulge and discharge miniature replicas of Usatako.

"Mini-Descos! Scout the area!"

The two floating masses of tentacles and chitin squeak in acknowledgement before flying off.

Nodding.

"If they encounter anything, they'll detonate and Desco will know!"

[all_wound_up]

Is that safe? Aren't those your sisters?

[tyrantball]

"No. They're decoys Desco made from spare chitin and the metal she eats. Desco's sisters have two bodies like Desco does."

[all_wound_up]

So that's why you eat all those bugs and cans and things...

[tyrantball]

"Desco eats bugs because she likes the taste, though."

She pauses for a second and tilts her head to the side.

"One of the decoys just detonated! Let's go, Sis!"

Desco will lead the way!

Right!

[Nano makes sure to keep up as they run off toward the next threat, keyblade ready. This time, though, she switches out for her Velvet Room Persona.]

Even though she's flying, Desco isn't actually all that fast - really, all the flight does for her is let her avoid obstacles, so Nano should have no problem keeping pace.

When they arrive, the first thing they should see is a shadowy black creature swiping at the remaining Mini-Desco Decoy with an obsidian scythe. Desco's reaction is to gasp in shock and a certain amount of fear.

"Malice Reaper!"
