Chaos.

There was no other way to describe the mood in the city, the streets filled with civilians attempting to huddle to the closest safe havens. The demons who had walked a fragile alliance with humans, previously content to stay underground due to the fact that they knew they would be pushed back, suddenly filled the streets - attacking on sight when they saw humans showing themselves to be weak. The darker monsters among them relished in this new opportunity, ignoring humanity's pleas and destroying what little remained of the city's peaceful sanity.

Everywhere, the city was a tumultuous mixture of those still stuck in their childish forms, with some back to their older selves trying to fix what they could and reestablish electrical power and barriers. Some demons, siding with humanity despite everything, aided them by keeping the others at bay. Personas were out in full force, swarming the skies and pushing back invaders. But it simply wasn't enough.

Without a network and all of the news outlets completely silent, everyone was left to fend for themselves... and it wasn't pretty.

The Visitors had to act as fast as they could, still in their child forms or not. There was so much to do, and without any directives. No intel sent to their heads explaining the situation. The Wise Men facility was silent. No one seemed to be answering...

[OOC - Here is the City Page. Your character can be anywhere and either look for clues, help people out or simply try to defend themselves. Remember, there is no electrical power right now, and most of the areas of the city are dark.

It's up to you to decide what to do. Shall you go save civilians, reestablish power, go to the MAGI headquarters? The choices will affect the game. There is a planning post in the OOC comm, create teams, decide what to do and help save Hinoto-Ri by following this link. Just know that, tonight, someone you might have thought an ally will declare themselves a foe.

[Hizumi only turns his head briefly enough to confirm that Taro is okay before bringing his attention back to the tengu. Even without verbal urging, Jack Frost flies up to hit it with a power slash.]

Hee ho! Hey, bird brains, come and get me!

[The Persona makes a few mocking gestures.]

[hachitaro]

Ow, hey! You're gonna regret that!

[The demon swoops down at the Jack Frost, turning in place to let off a Wind Dance at him. Taro scowls and summons Ame-no-Uzume for a Masukukaja. At least they'll move faster.]

A little.

[There's a little bit of matted blood in the fur on his back, though it's darker than human blood.]

[He's slowly starting to get the hang of using his Persona... slowly. He feels the blood beneath his fingers, and calls up another spell-- This one familiar, Dia, to heal whatever wound is causing the bleeding.

They'd need all the mobility they could get.] We're heading to my apartment. I hid Hizumi's sword and gun there. You want to stick together?

[Hizumi's only barely paying attention to the conversation, with the majority of his attention on the battle above. The wind dance hits and causes him to pitch forwards from the pain, but he quickly regains his balance before he actually falls. Although the Jack Frost also staggers for a moment, it resumes its onslaught with yet another power slash at that tengu.]

Whatever we do, we need to decide quickly-!

[hachitaro]

Let's go!

[He summons Ame-no-Uzume again, who shoots forwards and starts dancing. Light shimmer around her, and Taro opens his eyes.]

While he's distracted!

Got it! [Taro still in one arm, Ayumu wastes no time dashing out of the way of the demon, darting off towards a side street. He wasn't sure where this led, but it would ward off aerial enemies, at least.

He wasn't going anywhere without Hizumi, though, and he'll stop if Hizumi doesn't follow.]

[Hizumi doesn't need telling twice. Jack Frost fades as he runs after Ayumu and Taro, checking once over his shoulder to make sure they weren't being followed.]

Take a right up ahead - we can take this way for a few blocks before we get stuck out in the open again.

[It seems he's realized what Ayumu was planning with this move, and a good thing too. That last attack nearly had him reeling from the pain of it.]

[hachitaro]

R-right. Maybe we can rest for a minute if we find a safe enough spot...

[His ears droop a bit. He feels kind of useless right now.]

[Ayumu doesn't need telling twice, and quickly ducks right as soon as he comes upon the turn, grateful for Hizumi and Taro knowing the town better than he did. It was questionable how injured Hizumi was in this darkness, but from the reaction he'd seen earlier, he knew there'd been some damage.] You got hit by that thing... Are you injured anywhere?

Mm... Yeah, it got me. But the pain is worse than the actual injury-- I can hold out 'til we can catch a break.

[That tengu alone was nasty business, and he's rather loathe to stop and leave them sitting ducks to attack. After all, there plenty of demons who might show up in a narrow alley like this.]

[hachitaro]

Most tengu are jerks. At least the ones I've met. A lot of the officials in the Underground use them for bodyguards. Them and oni.

[He tries not to hate any species as a whole but he just hasn't had good experiences with them in general.]

[melodyoflogic]

Seeing as how that's the first one I've met, I'm going to have to agree at the moment. [They certainly seemed vicious enough. He keeps on down the alley, keeping an eye on the shadows around them.

He wasn't going to risk getting caught off guard.] Think you can walk on your own now, Taro?

[....And he's still carrying him.]

Isn't that stereotyping?

[...At least he seems to be well enough to crack a joke? But he does look at Taro with a serious, slightly concerned expression.]

It looked like that thing really spooked you. Are you going to be okay?

[hachitaro]

Yeah. I can walk... just. Ugh.

[He climbs down and shakes himself, fur puffing out a bit.]

I... um. It was a tengu that killed me at home. So...

[Yeah. Not great memories. After a few moments his usual illusion is back up, though he doesn't bother trying to make himself look happy.]

[melodyoflogic]

[....That...

His expression grows subdued, a bit saddened, before he offers the only assurance he can. 'I'm sorry' wouldn't mean anything, now.]

...We'll be sticking to the alley for a while. It won't be able to get down here with that wingspan.

[At the very least, Taro wouldn't have to deal with one of them again for a while. And if he had to, he'd find more alleys to their destination keep the flying demons out of their hair.]

[Although there's a pang of sympathy, Hizumi chooses not to remark on it, focused instead on continuing to walk. That attack shouldn't have him aching so much, but at the same time it isn't as though there's anything he can do about it...]

We've got about five blocks. After that, we'll probably need to have one person watching the air while the other two deal with whatever's on the ground.

... I can watch the sky. I'm not that useful in a fight, so it's the least I can do.

[He smiles a little bit sheepishly. It's... difficult. He doesn't want them to worry, but it's too late to take back what he said and try to avoid it again.]
