Kotoha - Kouha | Arthur - Bone Rush | Zoroark - Dig

Kotoha gambles - whatever that new Persona the Shadow summoned is, it looks like it's made out of fear and darkness, so she instructs her Persona to blast it with a Kouha. Meanwhile, in response to the Tao Tie's rush of attacks, Arthur concentrates briefly before summoning some kind of long bone and using both ends to batter away at the demon like it was a staff. Simultaneously, the ground underneath the Tao Tie starts to buckle and bulge before Zoroark bursts out of it in a spray of dirt and fist-sized stones.

"I released my team in advance, so we'll be getting reinforcements as we do this!"

"Shouldn't you already know, if you're the 'real' one?"

The amount of sarcasm she manages to pack into 'real' is actually fairly impressive.

Sarah raises one hand.

"Okay, stop. Show me your eyes."

"Okay, but we need to regroup first. If we're going to be in a fight, I'll need my God Arc."

Shadow Sarah | Open

Sarah's slumped on a bench, her head hanging and her posture looking...defeated. Strangely enough, her left arm is a mass of jagged black and red scales, tipped with long talons. She's wearing what looks like a fairly drab uniform, and she's idly picking at her thigh with the talons of her left arm.

What's going on with her?

Hey Sarah, what happened to your coat? That coat was cool.

They both stop and look up at Sarah. The one without the mask has golden eyes.

Well what would you offer me then?

Where is it, and can you get it quickly? I think I can distract this thing for a while, but I don't want to have to fight it alone.

She just stares up with her usual bland look, waving slightly for M'gann to move.

"Well, for one, I'm logged into the city data grid and I can offer not to set off every gas vent within a block as you look like the sort who wouldn't like that. If I am violently disconnected that will happen, and if my secondary AI notices I drop carrier that will happen as well."

Sarah slowly raises her gaze up to Misfit's face.

Her eyes are a dull, tarnished gold color.

"...what does it matter?"

Her voice is listless and incurious.

Sarah pauses to think, calculating the distance.

"...hm. Never mind, then, it'd take too long. I'll have to make do."

She rolls up the sleeve of her jacket on her left arm and concentrates. Slowly, black and red scales start to form on her skin as her nails lengthen and sharpen - when it ends, her entire forearm has been transformed, with her scaly fingers now ending in wicked talons.

"Let's go."

"Question. Do you want to kill her?"

It was going to happen eventually. They couldn't avoid their Shadows forever.

Although he and Ayumu had lasted for some time by teaming up together to escape, they were finally cornered. It was almost laughable, really - the way their Shadows had worked together to box them in. It seemed they worked together just as well as their original counterparts.

"You guys sure do like to run. But we found you anyway~♫" His red-eyed Shadow speaks in a completely carefree manner, his sweet smile utterly contrary to the rather disturbed expression Hizumi himself is wearing.

"Now, hold still-- I'll make this fast!"

The Shadow gives a toothy grin, glowing blue for just a moment as a dark figure appears behind him. His face is hardly visible in the shadows save for a pair of decidedly vampiric canines, but Hizumi doesn't need to be able to see to know just who it is. He may have been taller, his features slightly narrower - but regardless, no matter how you looked at it, they had the same face.

Ha. And he thought having an identical "older brother" was bad enough...

He doesn't even deign to give a reply, instead tightening his grip on the hilt of his sword. Well, two can play this game - as loathe as he is to use this particular Persona, their powers should cancel each other out. And should Ayumu's Shadow summon his own Persona, there's a chance he'll be able to take it down too, if he's quick enough.

"Yaiba-!" He only softly utters the name, but sure enough, his Persona appears at his side.

Oh! Welcome to Hinoto-Ri, then! I hope it hasn't been too bad for you... it can be hard getting used to this place.

"I want to get rid of this childish, stupid side of myself. So yes in a way I want to kill her."

I guess it doesn't really matter, I just like the coat is all. Wait, I see your eyes you're one of those shadows. I'm going to go get the real Sarah and then you'll be in trouble.

[Misfit teleports away from Sarah's shadow and starts searching the city looking for the real Sarah.]

That's not true! That's not true at all!

[Nano frowns, glancing to the ground and looking guilty.]

I mean... I did hope for a little while that you'd change your mind...

[But then she whips her head back up to look straight back at the Shadow.]

But that doesn't mean I don't still want to be your friend anyway! It doesn't matter to me if you don't look at me like that... you were always so kind to me, Atsuro-san. You'll always be special to me.

[Nano's response is to flick her hand to the side, summoning her keyblade and backing up a step, striking a defensive posture.]

You have my attention. Now what do you want from me?

"An explanation for starters. I see a friend in terror, and I see a giant alien touting world domination. Even though I'm not sure why you'd want this world, it gives me a headache just trying to help keep it running."

[Seeing Sarah transforms sparks something in M'gann.]

Your arm, it looks so monstrous. Do people fear you because of it?

It goes without saying that I'm going to fix the problem. All I have to do is get rid of that other 'me.'
