The 13th Hour - GENERAL LOG

Who: EVERYONE who is in the Scorpio Event and not doing the boss battle.
Where: The Entire City
Summary: 13th hour. The Perfect Link's Mutation Skill is unlocked and now people have a chance against the swarming Scorpions. Unfortunately, for some, this just means the paranoia hit a new low....you can group and join each other's posts and try to hold the city down and protect everyone!
Warnings: NPCs, Attacking, Battles.

13th Hour.

The city was in chaos. As it hit, the population attempted to return home, but it was too late. The scorpions continued to swarm, the police force trying to help as many as they could. You might even spot the Anoli once in a while...although they were only helping those that had Persona. Regardless, they were, at least, doing something.

The corpses of millions of scorpions were littered in the city streets. But once the 13th hour hit...the remaining ones mutated. But that was not the worst of it...

Oh no...

The Scorpios of the city now had a Scorpion tail dragging behind them, capable of causing Poison and Paralyzing damage. On a normal human, this was already terrible enough...

On a Persona User....they needed to be taken down.

Quickly.

And yet even in this Hour, there is hope. Power surges in a select few, and with a new skill at their tips, the battle may be won yet. But remember your mission; you came to protect this city. That includes the people living here. With so much chaos, you'll also need to help them and reduce the number of deaths as much as possible...and try not too look too closely at a looming figure in the Scorpio Ward...

O-oh. Oh. Oh. He was being serious wasn't he. He wouldn't have tried to defend himself that hard if he wasn't being serious. Oh god... what was she supposed to do in the face of that? Was hitting him an appropriate response? Shooting him? ...shooting him sounded like a really good idea, but it probably wouldn't've been wise to do that.

...and she was not turning red. No way, it's a trick of the light. Shut up, Pit.

"I-I'm too classy of a girl for an old man!" she tried to protest, flinching as she stammered.

"I am not an old man!" he insists. A scorpion tries to jump on him, but he merely knocks it out of the way. They're having a serious conversation, here!

Rune gave a scorpion near her similar treatment with both guns, before kicking it into the face of a monster and shooting that too. Seriously, guys; important conversation here!

"Y-you can't just ask a girl something like that right in the middle of a series of random encounters!" she exclaimed. "It's not right!"

Sob, fourth wall.

"I'm sorry! I just really don't want you to be mad at me anymore! And, um--"

Nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnope he's just gonna thwack some more monsters k? K.

No, no! You are not allowed to just cut off like that!

"A-and what!?" she demanded, her voice coming out a little shriller than she intended.

"Nothing!"

WHACK

"I just--"

WHAM

"--really enjoyed--"

THWUMP

This angel is so red you'd think he was playing Free-For-All.

Rune isn't much better at this point. She wants to call BS on all of this, but she can't say that fighting alongside him hasn't been enjoyable.

"What time together?!" she demanded instead, summoning Undine to drop some water on particularly nasty looking monster. "I tried to kill you, and now we're killing bugs!"

"It was kind of fun!"

You have to understand something, Rune. His other love interest tried to kill him, and the closest thing he has to a brother did, too.

Rune shook her head; they seriously weren't even Social Linked yet. How was she supposed to understand all thi--

Oh no you don't, mysterious voice! They don't have time for this!

"You are seriously weird, Pit," she muttered back at him, though she did smile a little.

"Wuah?! What is that voice...?" Pit says, proving her point.

"An interrupting plot!" Rune snapped, shooting another monster in the head. "Just ignore it for now."

A faint beep came from one of her guns at that, and she glanced over to it with a worried look on her face. The power indicator was flirting with the red. Any more of this, and she was going to be a sitting duck.

Man, he hates interrupting plots! Last time that happened to him he had to deal with a revolving door of antagonists! And then he got turned into a ring!

But the beeping pulls him out of his thoughts. He glances at her over his shoulder.

"What's that?"

[pistolsakimbo]

"Bad news, that's what," Rune replied. "My guns are running low on charge."

"Whuh-oh. Any way we can recharge them on the field?"

[pistolsakimbo]

"Not unless you can pull a sun out of your bag of tricks."

She paused, before glancing over her shoulder at him. Please. Please, tell her you can't actually do that.

"No, I can't generate the sun." He doesn't have Heavenly Light equipped, anyway, though he thinks he should have... "But don't worry. I've got your back."

[pistolsakimbo]

Rune glanced back at him a moment longer, before she quickly turned away, feeling her face heat up.

"T-thanks."

The distraction was enough for a few humans with the Scorpio masks on them to sneak nearby. Like mad zombies, they growled and attacked, the scorpion tails on their back pulsating while throwing acid at the both of them.

Pit springs into action immediately.

His first course of action is to push Rune out of the way.

His second is to dodge the acid as quickly as he can. Some of it gets on him, unfortunately--but he was smart enough to equip Effect Recovery in his little box of powers. As soon as he's recovered, he summons his persona (a curiously pixelated angelic archer in a white tunic and brown sandals...) and casting a light spell on a few of the humans.

The ones that don't get knocked out get a good thwack from his club.

Rune had turned in surprise, ready to retaliate... and Pit pushed her out of the way. On top of it, he pushed her right into the path of some of the acid spit! She threw her arms up over her face immediately to protect herself, letting out a hiss of pain as it splashed on her arms instead.

She bit her lip, wanting to cry in pain or shoot Pit in the back of the head, one of the two. So much for having her back, the creep! Instead, she called on Undine, letting a Dia spell handle the damage done to her arm.

Yeah, Pit saw that, and he. He kind of wants to throw himself directly in the path of the acid because he messed up again oh man oh goddess oh man oh goddess, oh goddess oh man!

He'd say he's sorry, but he's already said that enough, and that didn't work. So much for that date!

He keeps fighting, but it's obvious he's distracted.

Distraction? Perfect time for the Scorpio zombies not affected by his attack to attempt to pile on top of him like an American football game gone wrong.

Rune let out an annoyed noise; dammit, that stupid angel was distracted again! She leveled a gun at the one zombie, feeling her stomach twist. Dammit...!

A shot of lightning lanced out of the gun, draining the last of it's charge. Her aim looked like it was at Pit, but it missed the angel boy by a mile, aimed for the zombie instead.

Right. Gotta get his head out of this funk. He takes the opportunity afforded by one less zombie on him to cast another light spell, rendering enough zombies unconscious to allow Pit to pry the rest of them off with his club.

And then he's left with Rune.

"...s-sorry...I was trying to get you out of the way..."
