Who: Open to anyone, but anyone from the first log will be doubly urged to come.
Where: Starting in Virgo, leading in to Gemini.
Summary: The next night, the song is back, and even stronger...but this time, it seems to have a purpose.
Warnings: Secondary, small plot event
The 27th seemed to have been a bust. Many stood around, discussing the strange music, before eventually retiring when exhaustion hit after the 13th hour...and boy did it. Strangely, the civilian population- even persona users -reported to not hearing anything at all.

The night of the 28th, it happened again. The same song, the same pleading call, to the same row of shops. But something did change, as midnight melted quickly towards the Thirteenth hour.

Another noise sought to be heard over the music- this one akin to television static. If one looked closely at the glass of the nearby shop windows, they could see something cloudy forming on them...but that was only a reflection. Nothing stood in that spot in the street. A figure took form amid the shimmered raindrops, only visible in the reflection of the rain and the glass. A ghost, glowing dimly, with eyes so pitch black that one could never see through them. And where were those unending eyes pointed? Up at Mount Utsugi, giving way to Mictlan...

It moved instinctively, heading for the structure without any glance at the Persona users it had called out to. The piper had it's children, and now it only had to lead them...

[ OOC: Feel free to try to interact with the ghostly figure, or just go along for the ride! And just to clarify, yeah the ghost has no physical form- it's only visible in reflective surfaces -so if you wanna follow it, you might need a mirror or something. If you want to know if something would work for that, just bug me on plurk (gaakishi)! ]

...again Yu found himself drawn out into the rain.

This was starting to bother him, especially since this time it was so late at night. When the hour rolled over into the Thirteenth hour, however, his concern grew worse; he and his team of all people would be able to pick out the sound of television static from anywhere.

His hand instantly dove into his pocket, pulling out his Midnight Channel glasses and putting them on. He zeroed in on this ghostly figure instantly, though he could not see it that well -- he could only see the creature in the reflection of the glasses -- but it was enough for him to be able to follow it.

Yu wasn't sure if the others were there, but curiosity was winning over the common sense to wait for them. He set out after the ghostly figure, feet pounding through puddles after it.

Yamato was, quite frankly, fed up with this ridiculousness. Again, during his patrol around the apartment complex, he was lured by that song - although this time he could hear the strange sound of static, buzzing at the very edge of his hearing. It was beyond annoying, and Yamato wanted to find the source of all this irritation and eliminate it.

Of course the only thing he found was that strange ghostly figure - caught only in the passing reflections in the windows and rain. Yamato couldn't see it very well, and neither could he sense anything from it, which was beyond disturbing but-

Which is when he caught sigh of Yu. He remembered him, vaguely, from a strange conversation about that whole 'gay' fiasco, but more interestingly was that Yu seemed fixated on something that was otherwise invisible, his glasses-

Glasses reflected things. Of course.

So Yu, don't mind Yamato catching up to you. Thankfully the ghost didn't seem to be sprinting, otherwise Yamato would have been left in the dust...

"Can you see it clearly?"
linefacingforever: (Oh really...?)

[personal profile] linefacingforever 2012-10-28 08:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Yu glanced sidelong at the other man, remembering him from that conversation also. He still needed Kanji to talk to this guy...

"More or less," Yu replied, before fishing into his pocket for the glasses for the COMP, before handing them over. "Try these."

He needed to test something; could he see the ghost this well because glasses were reflective, or just because they were the glasses that could see through the fog in the Midnight Channel?

Yamato frowned at the COMP glasses, but put them on with a small sigh. He frowned. He could see something like a smudge on the lens - nothing defined, nothing clear, but something so long as he squinted hard enough.

Nothing like the certainty with how his companion appeared to have.

"It's not very clear."
linefacingforever: (Considering all the things.)

[personal profile] linefacingforever 2012-10-28 08:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Yu let out a breath; he had a feeling, and he was privately grateful to Teddie, wishing he was in the city at the same time.

"I think it's heading for the mountain," he explained for him, reaching out for his glasses back. Poor guy would probably hurt his eyes if he kept trying to squint at the ghost like that.
drakenguard: (hmph)

[personal profile] drakenguard 2012-10-28 08:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Yamato slipped the COMP glasses off and handed them back without a word, tilting his head to look up at the mountain. Of course it would go there...

"...We'll keep a close eye on it regardless. It might decide to change its course at the last moment."
linefacingforever: (I am an awesome hero.)

[personal profile] linefacingforever 2012-10-29 12:41 am (UTC)(link)
Yu nodded in confirmation, slipping the COMP glasses back into his pocket, before reaching up to adjust his own glasses to better see the ghost. If he and his team could see it the best, it was better if he led the charge.
drakenguard: (deadpan)

[personal profile] drakenguard 2012-10-29 01:03 am (UTC)(link)
Strange though, that the COMP glasses could not see as clearly as the ones this man - he realised he never caught his name - was wearing. Were they made out of different material? Did they perhaps have some form of enchantment...?

"What are those made of?" he asked, his curiosity finally demanding he asked.
linefacingforever: (Oh really...?)

[personal profile] linefacingforever 2012-10-29 03:35 am (UTC)(link)
Yu was about to answer when he heard that faint word, whispered just above the hiss of the rain. He almost stopped dead in his tracks in surprise -- as it was he fumbled a bit. Maybe... maybe what? Part of him was screaming to turn back, that this was an obvious trap and he shouldn't be falling into it, while the other half was just curious as to what the heck was going on.

"...I don't know," he finally answered Yamato, picking up the pace after the ghost.
drakenguard: (mildly disgruntled)

[personal profile] drakenguard 2012-10-29 09:30 am (UTC)(link)
Yamato also heard the hushed words, and a prickle of unease crawled over his skin. However he didn't falter or turn back - no he was determined to get to the bottom of this - so he simply picked up the pace along with Yu.

He really didn't like this - he really truly didn't. He couldn't see the ghost, only glimpses of it, and it was leading them to the mountain, which became a hotspot of demons in the 13th Hour. It was obvious what this was...

"This is a trap," Yamato sighed to himself, but regardless he still kept pace with Yu.
linefacingforever: (Staring into the fog of lies.)

[personal profile] linefacingforever 2012-10-29 11:02 pm (UTC)(link)
"Yeah," Yu agreed, able to feel Izanagi nodding as well in the back of his mind. Of course, he wasn't going to slow down his run; if this was something dangerous? Oh yeah, he was going to do something about it, or at least get a feel for what it was before making a retreat.

Izanami... please don't be the one behind this...
drakenguard: (suspicious side glance)

[personal profile] drakenguard 2012-10-31 10:16 am (UTC)(link)
Yamato quietened and they ran in silence for a while, their steps splashing through the occasional puddle. The rain thickened at this point, a slight haze lurking close to the surface of the street, and the mountain was looming ever closer.

Ugh, he should've brought a hair tie or something. It was annoying having to deal with it when it was loose and wet. He slowed to a mild jog, letting Yu move ahead of him by a few paces. He was considering...the other could see where the invisible demon was, so perhaps Yamato could end this if they just simply attacked the thing?

"Have you thought about restraining it through the use of your Persona? You can see it clearly, after all."
linefacingforever: (About to kick your ass.)

[personal profile] linefacingforever 2012-11-02 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
Yu glanced back at him; honestly, he hadn't thought of that, and it showed on his face. He reached out, clenching his hand... mostly out of habit. One of these days, he'll stop doing that when summoning his soul Persona.

"Izanagi!"

Let's see how his Persona can handle that thing.

Further ahead he might catch sight of someone else following that... apparition(?), though Riku was having a bit of a harder time, given that he doesn't have glasses.

It was getting frustrating quickly though, and Riku's just gritting his teeth as he decided that maybe it was time for a change in strategy and called for Way to the Dawn, taking a deep breath and focused his magic a little bit differently then usual.

It took just a whisper - "Freeze." - to invoke it and let Deep Freeze cover the next several meter in front of him, a thin layer of ice covering the street.

At very least, being able to follow it that way instead of searching constantly for a source of reflection, didn't make him question his sanity quite as much. Even if it did mean a little bit more work for him.
linefacingforever: (Gurk!?)

[personal profile] linefacingforever 2012-10-29 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
Yu hadn't seen what the boy in front of him had done; he was so caught up in following the ghost that he hadn't really made the connection to why the ground was suddenly shiner. Well, that was, until his feet went flying out from under him, and he found out what it was like to ice skate on your butt.

Thanks for that, Riku.

Yu went flying past the other boy, letting out an awkward and very not-proswag-like squeal in the process.

Admittedly, Riku hadn't really thought about the danger the ice could possess to anyone - not until Yu came sailing past him.

Oooops.

He did at least look appropriately sheepishly, while walking up to the other and offering him a hand?

"...Sorry about that."

One? Izanagi, shut up.

Two, Yu skidded to a stop once he ran out of ice. Unfortunately skidding involved half rolling on wet pavement. He ended up half rolling until he finally stopped face down on the ground, his lineface breaking in favor of looking exasperated.

"...s'all right."

Riku frowned a bit still, waving his Keyblade after a moment to cast a Cure spell ("Heal.") - then dismissing the weapon to reach down and help Yu with getting back on his feet again. ...Or at least to offer to.

In the meantime the ice around them had disappeared again, the temporary effect of Deep Freeze ceasing.

Yu worked his neck back and forth as he felt the healing effects fall over him, before accepting Riku's hand up. He offered him a faint smile; no harm done.

He paused after a moment, though, looking around, trying to figure out where that ghost had gone.

Riku answered with a slight nod before scanning their environment for the ghost again as well. For just a moment he considered casting Deep Freeze once more, though considering how that had ended just moments ago... yeah, he'd refrain from that for now.

Then he caught it again, reflecting in one of the shop windows further ahead. A moment later he took off after it; not running but certainly walking fast as he searched for the next reflection.
