A Dance in Vivacissimo for the Velvet Room

This time, there didn't seem to be a crisis, but nevertheless, the Velvet roomed showed up once again. As usual, policemen and WAND operatives protected the door, the rendezvous point was well guarded.

As they stepped in, the group weren't given much information as to what exactly you were heading into. Unless you've been a Guest before or had visited two times prior, this entire experience will be completely new...and even if you've been here, the experience is still new.



The bar is spacious and large. The place is oddly calming; as if all the troubles of the city have melted away and you're just drifting in the sea. A multitude of blue butterflies are flying on the ceiling overhead.

Now, for some of those who had been here before, there was something different this time.

The lights were mostly out, the dim bar setting made even more evident. The remaining lights, however, pointed to a musical setup. In the back, a single dark figure bouncing his head back and forth, as the sound began to fill your ears. The voice, for those who have heard her speak, sounds like Caroline was doing the background vocal work.

The Aria of the Soul...just served a little differently.

Now the full meaning of the Velvet Bar comes to fruition.

If you can spot Igor in the farthest corner (it's hard to see without the lights) he has...a pair of sunglasses? He seems to be pretty quiet this evening, and instead Caroline is there to great everyone as the music continues to play.

"Welcome to the Velvet Room. My name is Caroline...and this is DJ Velvet, my brother William."

He responds by raising one of his hands in the air and giving a V sign, before going back to mixing.

"This place exists between mind and matter... A room for those who gave forged a contract... For those who are here for the first time, you now must know that in awakening to the power of Persona granted to you by Philemon, you are bound to a contract. You are all now guests of the Velvet Room. You all have the ability to hold multiple Personas and wield their powers...a wildcard ability. However the rules of this world are rather...unique."

Her tone of voice was clearly much better than the previous two times. Caroline was gaining, slowly a bit more assurance in herself. She also seemed much more relaxed with William around.

"As you continue to live here longer and aid this ailing world, the connection and bonds you forge will reinforce your Destiny String, and allow you to truly unlock your full potential. As stipulated by the contact, we will aid you to the best of our abilities. I hope you find your stay tonight enjoyable."

Caroline then goes behind the bar and awaits for those who might wish to talk with her. Or perhaps you'd like to go see William first?

"Indeed?" Happiness was infectious, especially for a resident of the Velvet Room, and she gave her a warm smile. She had a good idea of what was inside, but, oh dear, she had to be a proper resident of the Velvet Room.

"Yes, indeed!" With a little clumsy struggling, Sasha pulled the dress in this picture out of the laundromat bag. "You know how you wanted a nice dress like Belladonna's? I got you one while shopping for the masquerade. It's a little on the simple side, but I think it'll look good on you." She held the dress up straight so that Caroline could get a good look at it. "Well? What do you think?"

"It's...amazing!" She closed her eyes in delight putting both her hands in front and nearly shaking with happiness. "As they say, 'Simplicity is the elimination of physical clutter!' ...no wait I don't think that was it..."

She tried.

"May I hold it?"

"I'm glad to hear you like it!" Sasha beamed right along with Caroline, acting off her contagious happiness. "And of course you can hold it! It's yours! Just be sure to hold it off the ground so it doesn't get dirty." She held the dress out to Caroline, waiting for her to take it.

And take it she did, looking like Sasha had given her an incredibly treasure.

She stepped back and spun around in it, attempting to look dignified like Belladonna would (it failed). Eventually she excused herself, and disappeared in the backroom, without the dress in her hands.

"I have put it away," she explained. "So that it is not damaged. You have my gratitude in fulfilling this request."

Before she pulled out anything, she continued.

"I am...unsure what I can give in return. Therefore, if I could let you pick out from what I may have..."

- An item that will removes the weakness of water and ice to her soul Persona
- A futuristic gun weapon that has a 40% chance of either charming or paralyzing the target.
- A new unique Persona that can replace her 2nd Persona.

Should I mention on her Persona Update post that her water/ice weaknesses are removed?

Sasha eyed the items curiously. Ah, this was such a difficult decision! She was so intrigued by what the new Persona could be, and yet... for once in her life, Sasha made a practical decision. "I'll take the item that voids my water and ice weakness. I really want to see what that other Persona is, but... that scorpion monster knocked me flat during the battle with an ice attack. I don't want something like that to happen again." How would it feel to not be weak to water and ice elemental attacks? Certainly a lot better.

"As they say, too much curiosity shocked the dog!" (Too much curiosity killed the cat, Caroline.)

She opened the box and inside was a small pair of earrings, with hooks, reddish in color, but in the shape of small ruby snowflakes. No need for you to have them pierced if they were not!

"I hope they are to your liking."

"I think it's 'too much curiosity killed the cat,'" Sasha corrected gently before peering inside the box. Eyes bright with surprise and happiness, she took the earrings out of the box and examined them. "Wow, these are so pretty! And they're functional, too. I've never really been much of an earring person, but I'll definitely wear these!" Carefully, she placed the earrings back in the box and took it from Caroline. "I've got a bit of a strange question for you. How do these provide water and ice-element resistance? I like to know the mechanics of these things."
