Who: Open to Everyone, but only Newly Accepted Characters can start threads.
Where: All around the city! They appear where you want them to appear.
Summary: Newcomers arrive and by now the Government is more ready and sends everyone out to go people hunting.
Warnings: ARRIVALS. Also assume the first thread is the ones who tell you about the city, and the other tags for the character can be talking with others in the city and learning more about it.

[FOR THOSE IN THE CITY:]
It was Grand Prix frenzy by this time. The streets were filled with people watching every available television screen, crowds in the bigger areas of Scorpio district with the larger screen.

Now the HORUS detection system was working again. The device allowed everyone to spot abnormalities; and while it was being re-tuned to work with the appearing buildings, they could hone in on newcomers at a much faster pace. The leftover energy from the travel (commonly called Magatama Residue) gave them a few minutes to find them before it would flicker out.

Combined with the fact they could appear in most parts of the city, it made finding the newcomers was both easy yet frustratingly difficult.

As the blips appear on your own radar function, it was also nice enough to calculate for you the best transport and destination routes to take to get there. Speed was of the essence, after all.

[FOR THOSE WHO JUST ARRIVED:]
You're not in your homeworld anymore. That much is evident. So how do you feel? Happy? Sad? Troubled? A little of all three? No matter what, the memories of a butterfly man named Philemon are fading like a dream; you'll remember the details, but perhaps not everything he has said.

There is one word that stays with you, however.

Persona.

So...here to save the city, huh? First you'll need to find out more information. And who knows, maybe a familiar face or two...

But why are everyone huddle around large televisions screens for some reason?

[OOC: As stated above, only new characters can start a thread, but feel free to jump in any of them. characters arrive with their clothing and whatever items they had on them the moment they were taken; the remaining items will be later found in their apartments.]

[A city. A real, actual, honest to goodness city. It had been over a year since Dakki had seen buildings this tall, crowds this energetic, and this much flashing electric light. Which worried her. The 'better place' didn't have anything like this. Their collective efforts couldn't produce anything so grand, so quickly. They had barely managed to get the houses up to snuff for the winter, as of yet. So... where was this?

She made her way along, taking everything in with wide eyes, trying to parse it and categorize it as quickly as possible. Plenty of humans, technology far greater than Mayfield's, but far less than her own, and...]

Oh? Oh!

[That was a rather large screen, up on that building. And it was broadcasting some sort of... tournament? Competition? Combat! It was broadcasting combat! And it was flashy enough to distract her from her efforts to assess her situation. She stopped, she stared... and then looked about and called out to the nearest person she saw who seemed likely to respond.]

Ah! Oh, excuse me, please? What's this? What's being broadcast?

[The man Dakki stops seems like he's quickly on his way somewhere, but he'll stop when asked. He blinks for a moment. A... robot?]

Ah. This is the Persona tournament.

Oh. [Her pause was very slight, for that didn't explain matters at all. Persona tournament. That word, again...]

It's a tournament... with... I'm sorry. I've heard the term "Persona", but I'm not sure what it means. Could you elaborate?

[He looked busy, and she hated to impose, but surely this wouldn't take long.]

Ah. Persona are... a complicated thing. A power, something you summon like magic. It can fight for you, so people here are having a tournament with them. [From the sound of it, he doesn't quite understand them all yet himself.]

[photonicfighter]

[She made another sound, this time full of much more comprehension. Battle! That, she understood perfectly fine, even if the means was a bit different.] I see! So people that can use this power are having a tournament! That's very exciting!

[She then gives him a bit of a bowing nod.] Thank you. Ah... and I don't suppose I could trouble you a bit more? Where is this?

It's been quite a show so far. It's at the arena in the Aries district. I'm headed there now, actually, if you'd like to come along.

Er... I mean... this. [She laughed awkwardly, and made a wide gesture with one arm.] This place. This city. It is a city, right?

[But his offer was a nice one. She stepped forward.] I wouldn't mind coming along. I do think I'd like to see.

Ah, I see. This is a city, yes. Called Hinoto-Ri. And it's... a very complicated place, to put it simply.

[photonicfighter]

Hinoto-Ri. Ah, alright. [And then her face scrunches up a bit, and she laughs.] If it's complicated, it's not very simple at all, is it?

[Another laugh, and then she tilts her head.] Care to try to explain it on the way over?

[doesasordered]

[He actually smirks a bit at that. English, sometimes you're hard.] This is true. It's very much a complicated place, and I'm still learning about it myself, as I've only been here for about six weeks or so. Personas only seem to be the beginning.

[photonicfighter]

Oh! So I'm not the only person to just... arrive? [That's interesting news! That's alarming news. She walks a little closer, brings her voice a little lower.] Are there a lot of people arriving in the same way? Is there a reason for it, do you know?

[This wasn't the same cheerful and chipper sort of questioning from before. It's much more serious. The last time she suddenly found herself somewhere unexpected, well...]

A lot of people do. They refer to us as "visitors". As for the reason... They says it's to help this world. Help usher the causes of good and evil. We're told there really isn't anything left to the world outside of the city.

[photonicfighter]

To help... [That sounded right. The word resonated in what little lingered of the vision she had before arriving here.] If this city's all that's left, I can see how it would need help. I'm flattered. I think. I don't know...

[She lets her gaze drift away, and stares at storefront as they walk along.]

...is it dangerous? Are we tormented? Are we being toyed with?

So far? Not really. Aside from this contest, things have been mostly quiet. Aside from all different people being brought here. There is, ah, some dangerous rumors out there circulating around about this competition. Something about terrorists.

[photonicfighter]

[She looks doubtful. She's trying to pick out the hidden horribleness that's no doubt in there somewhere.] So this place could be attacked. But... it's not attacking us. The food isn't poisoned? There's no brainwashing?

[If these are strangely specific things to be asking about, she doesn't seem to realize it. This is very important.]

Not as far as I know, nor has anyone else mentioned. Then again, if we are all brainwashed, how would we know? [He smirks ever so slightly, and shrugs.] If they wanted to kill us, they wouldn't provide us with a place to live.

[photonicfighter]

Ugh, don't say that! [She grimaces, not finding the joke particularly funny.] You'd be surprised at the sort of things they'll give you, to lull you into a false sense of security!

...ahh. I must sound completely off my rocker. I'm sorry. And I haven't even introduced myself, have I? [She sighs ruefully, then extends a hand to him.] I'm Dakki Sigal.

I won't blame you for being suspicious. We all have every right to be. Maybe it would do you better to talk to someone who's been here longer than I have, though.
