Summary: 1/16-1/22. Days of non-stop shooting and Persona battles! Players decide when the fight takes place.

Grand Prix Frenzy had overtaken the city by this point.

We're sorry, you weren't technically part of the main show. However, perhaps, should this go well, they might be able to get you into the giant tournament itself next year!What can they say, the show must go on. And the ratings must be high.

The entire place was filled with cheering spectators and for those who missed out, the usual channels were going to post the entire thing live. Pay-per-view had extra shows and cameras. Or you could go to your local pub. Now that the main show was put on hold, they had all come to see one thing: and it was to see how these newcomers from otherworlds fared in their favorite sport. In a way it was showing the natural pride to them, and watching how they did at it.

Gambling wasn't allowed publicly. So naturally it flourished underground. Odds today were 1:1 for nearly everyone, those looking to make a lot of money were simply out of luck. Today was a day for watching.

From the side ring "Jay Queen" and "Bob Sternhammer", the two ringside announcer, excitedly begin the pre-game talk.

"What a crowd today Jay! You can feel and hear the energy coming right off of 'em!"

"A stadium of Ten Thousand filled to the brim! At the tenth anniversary, this promises to be a Grand Prix unlike any other!"

"Can't blame 'em. Hell, if I wasn't announcing this, I'd be ringside looking at the newcomers. For those watching at home, we're gonna remind you of the few ground rules."

"Tonight's matches are part of the main tournament, Outerworlders division. No returning champions, in fact, if you look to the left there, you'll see Flamin' HellDragon waving next to Seaside Dragoon. Last year's reigning champ, and the sexy female newcomer? Oh I can just smell the steaming flames of passion raising!"

"Haha and a kiss in public! Can you hear the crowd echoing their approval! At this stage they might take away from the real event!"

"Names are drawn based on known skill. Randomization is under the supervision of the Hinoto-Ri Lotto Society."

"Contestants pick their own Evoker ten minutes before the duel, and are asked to fire a blank shot in the air to insure security before it is scanned. Contestants then are brought into their isolation zones and are kept there until they are ready to be brought up to the ring. Since this is a double dual championship, contestants are brought together a full two hours before the tournament begins, and then will get to meet their opponents behind a locked bar twenty minutes before the show begins."

"Turns are taken, each allowed only one command from their Personas."

"As usual, Instant Death Spells are forbidden of usage. You may not kill your opponent. If your opponent is knocked unconscious, they have five seconds to get up. You are only allowed to attack your opponents Persona, even with your weapons and skills."

"Oh! Looks like the national anthem's gonna start."

There was some singing, as everyone stood up. After, the shouts became louder and louder, as a single man dressed in a tuxedo walked in, grabbing a futuristic microphone and speaking in it.

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! THE GRAND PRIX TOURNAMENT IS PROUD TO PRESENT THE OTHERWORLDER'S DIVISION! A SERIES OF BATTLES WITH STRICT SET OF RULES TO SHOWCASE THE NATRUAL ABILITY OF HINOTO-RI'S HEROES!" Dramatically, he leaned in closer, raising his hand as the crowd's enthusiasm broke into an even louder frenzy.

"LeeeeeET'S GET IT oooooooooON!"

The crowed cheered, as a series of fireworks and music tore off into the sky.


"This is Bob and Jay live from the Outerworld Demo Tournament! !"

By the Nine, this place seems to have the strangest fascination with making a complete farce out of things...

[Ginia sighs as she paces, tugging at the strap on her shoulder. It's bad enough that singing will be involved, but having to do so in the provided outfits is worse. This isn't clothing, it's... She doesn't know what to classify it as, other than Not Likable. She'd much prefer her armor - even if they're fighting with their Personas, combat is combat.

At least they let her bring a weapon - a blade with a lightly glowing hilt, resting in a sheath at her hip.]

No kidding... [Someone looks... well. Irritated. And embarrassed. And exasperated. This 'battle outfit' was...

... Well. It was something else, and that was putting it nicely. He didn't really like it. If he had to wear it, he could have at least been allowed to wear his hakama over it; they'd never gotten in his way while fighting, and he'd feel a lot better about the blue... thing he was stuck in.

It was kind of a comfort to know that he wasn't the only one that found the... ... whatever it was somewhat irritating.]

You guys have got that right.

[Someone is pissy about this turn of events, yes she is. This isn't proper armor, this isn't a proper arena battle by her standards, this is STUPID.

At least the outfit is...tolerable. It could be worse.]

[Cloche looks decidedly uncomfortable in her own fighting get-up. Although she tries to minimize her chest by folding her arms, it really doesn't do much.]

It is clear that this tournament is of great cultural significance to these people. Despite the--odd circumstances which may or may not cloud our bout, we should hold ourselves with as much dignity as we can muster.

[... ... ... ... as difficult as that may be in clothing that more closely resembles underwear than proper clothing. Ugh, it's so tight.]

Yeah, that makes sense.

[Maybe it's because she was able to heckle one of the folks in charge for one that covered more skin, but Haseo was not as bothered by the outfit. As long as the scars stayed under wraps, it was all good.]

May the best competitor win, I suppose.

Likewise. They may be able to take away some measure of our dignity, but we may still compete with valor and honor.

[There's a slight smirk on her face as she folds her arms.]

I'm quite eager to see just what you younger lot can do.

[Well, now he's smiling a little. His respect for this particular opponent just went up.] Well said.

[... oh. Now you've pinged his competitive side. That smile's turning into a smirk of his own.] We'll try not to disappoint.

[Who knows, he might learn something in the process.]

She nods to her apparent partner at this.] You ready?

[Cloche plants one hand on her hip, a confidant smile on her face.]

That's the attitude I like to see from warriors before a professional bout.

[Shortly after she has changed into her fighting uniform, but before the group conversation, Cloche will approach Ginia. She may not be properly dressed for the occasion, but she will at least try to be professional.]

Good day. We've spoken before, but that was hardly a proper introduction. [She holds a hand out for Ginia to shake.] My name is Cloche Leythal Pastalia. We are going to be fighting together as partners.

[The older woman gives a hearty shake, and there's a moderately amused look on her face as she does.]

Ginia Rosentia, and that seems to be the case. I do hope you'll be able to keep focus on the task at hand, despite our questionable attire.

[Her tone is mostly teasing. Mostly.]

[From her exasperated sigh, Cloche has plenty of issues with what they're wearing...]

Please don't bring that up. The more I think about it, the more uncomfortable I feel dressed this way. [No matter how she adjusts it, there really is no "modest" way of wearing it.] You'll find that, even under less than ideal circumstances, my focus is unshakable.

Worry not, I only meant it in jest, as I suppose keeping good humor is the best way to avoid dwelling on this too much.

[She sighs, tugging at the shoulder strap a bit.]

Much as I do miss my armor, even if we aren't really doing the fighting. I am glad to hear of such dedication, however.
