Summary: 1/16-1/22. Days of non-stop shooting and Persona battles! Players decide when the fight takes place.

Grand Prix Frenzy had overtaken the city by this point.

We're sorry, you weren't technically part of the main show. However, perhaps, should this go well, they might be able to get you into the giant tournament itself next year!What can they say, the show must go on. And the ratings must be high.

The entire place was filled with cheering spectators and for those who missed out, the usual channels were going to post the entire thing live. Pay-per-view had extra shows and cameras. Or you could go to your local pub. Now that the main show was put on hold, they had all come to see one thing: and it was to see how these newcomers from otherworlds fared in their favorite sport. In a way it was showing the natural pride to them, and watching how they did at it.

Gambling wasn't allowed publicly. So naturally it flourished underground. Odds today were 1:1 for nearly everyone, those looking to make a lot of money were simply out of luck. Today was a day for watching.

From the side ring "Jay Queen" and "Bob Sternhammer", the two ringside announcer, excitedly begin the pre-game talk.

"What a crowd today Jay! You can feel and hear the energy coming right off of 'em!"

"A stadium of Ten Thousand filled to the brim! At the tenth anniversary, this promises to be a Grand Prix unlike any other!"

"Can't blame 'em. Hell, if I wasn't announcing this, I'd be ringside looking at the newcomers. For those watching at home, we're gonna remind you of the few ground rules."

"Tonight's matches are part of the main tournament, Outerworlders division. No returning champions, in fact, if you look to the left there, you'll see Flamin' HellDragon waving next to Seaside Dragoon. Last year's reigning champ, and the sexy female newcomer? Oh I can just smell the steaming flames of passion raising!"

"Haha and a kiss in public! Can you hear the crowd echoing their approval! At this stage they might take away from the real event!"

"Names are drawn based on known skill. Randomization is under the supervision of the Hinoto-Ri Lotto Society."

"Contestants pick their own Evoker ten minutes before the duel, and are asked to fire a blank shot in the air to insure security before it is scanned. Contestants then are brought into their isolation zones and are kept there until they are ready to be brought up to the ring. Since this is a double dual championship, contestants are brought together a full two hours before the tournament begins, and then will get to meet their opponents behind a locked bar twenty minutes before the show begins."

"Turns are taken, each allowed only one command from their Personas."

"As usual, Instant Death Spells are forbidden of usage. You may not kill your opponent. If your opponent is knocked unconscious, they have five seconds to get up. You are only allowed to attack your opponents Persona, even with your weapons and skills."

"Oh! Looks like the national anthem's gonna start."

There was some singing, as everyone stood up. After, the shouts became louder and louder, as a single man dressed in a tuxedo walked in, grabbing a futuristic microphone and speaking in it.

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! THE GRAND PRIX TOURNAMENT IS PROUD TO PRESENT THE OTHERWORLDER'S DIVISION! A SERIES OF BATTLES WITH STRICT SET OF RULES TO SHOWCASE THE NATRUAL ABILITY OF HINOTO-RI'S HEROES!" Dramatically, he leaned in closer, raising his hand as the crowd's enthusiasm broke into an even louder frenzy.

"LeeeeeET'S GET IT oooooooooON!"

The crowed cheered, as a series of fireworks and music tore off into the sky.

"This is Bob and Jay live from the Outerworld Demo Tournament! !"

[The lack of space unnerved Otoha as well, but it wasn't exactly evident on his face as he shot himself to summon Yatagarasu. The huge Persona dwarfed him, and rushed towards the robotic man.]

[His mouth was set in a thin line. There was no amusement - not yet. That would come when he got his own chance to strike.]

[Ouch.

He was already knocked on his ass before he could do much else, falling prey to physical damage. He was no stranger to pain and fighting, though, and refused to give in so soon. Instead, he used the blow to continue a roll backwards so he wouldn't be burned by the fire spell while he was at it.

Kais popped up to a semi-squat, resting one knee on the ground and his oversized pauldron facing his foes as if it was a shield. His evoker went up under his chin where his helmet didn't cover and he summoned his persona, an actual giant robot. Quickly, red laser lights panned from its head as if marking both targets and stopped, granting Kais a greater chance to score a more damaging hit.

Could use some help over here though, 'friend'.]

[Oh! Sorry, were they to move now?

As Kais tumbled backwards and summoned their Persona, Anant finally broke out of their fascinated staring to summon their Persona, Dionysus, in a flurry of bright, multicoloured lights. Dionysus liked a flashy summoning, okay.]

Hm, this is when I attack one of our opponents, let us see... hm, aha! Very well!

[Anant points....at Otoha]

Zionga!

[It didn't take much to see where Dark Pit's next action would take him. His partner was otherwise occupied with that attack, but he had paved the way when he forced the robot guy into a squat like that.]

[Dark Pit ignored his Persona, pulling out the silver bow and starting to move as best he could in the enclosed space. He almost shot at the vulnerable robot -- old habits die hard -- just barely managing to shift his aim for the robot's Persona instead.]

[Otoha cursed under his breath, feeling the shock rip through Yatagarasu. Fortunately he wasn't held back too much by it, but he summoned the great bird again.]

[It flapped its wings, sending a surge of energy at Dark Pit to boost his attack. Otoha moved his hand to his sword, prepared to start his own physical attack soon.]

[Kais wanted to hunker down and withstand the barrage of arrows. He really did. Staying scrunched up like this certainly helped deal with the pain.

But the lessons of Mont'ka poured through his head. Fire on the move. Pushing through the notably extra pain he was getting, he starting moving as fast as his hooves would carry him. His persona activated its jumpjets and kept up with him easily.

Unslinging his rifle, he executed the other part of Mont'ka. Focus fire. He hoped to keep Otoha and Anant between him and his other enemy but with the smallness of the cage, he doubted the success. But he could use his rifle to pour blue plasma bolts into Otoha's persona, which he started by pressing the firing stud as fast as the rifle could cycle.

Another salvo would probably do him in. He simply wanted to get one person out of the fight.]

[Okay, okay, okay! It seems Anant was not fulfilling their bodyguard duties very well! Ah, but this cage was so small, it was hard to have Dionysus move in the crashing fray of bodies to block Kais's Persona from being attacked!

Ahhh, oh! Alright then!]

Protect my partner, please!

[Giving those orders to Dionysus, Anant summoned their energy gauntlets, long golden claws crackling with energy as they leapt forwards, pushing through the chaos to lash out at Pandora, Dark Pit's Persona. This one was the more dangerous one so far!]

[Ow.]

[No, seriously, ow. He knew that damage to a Persona would be felt by the owner, but he didn't exactly expect it to hurt that much.]

[Dark Pit let out a hiss of annoyance, motioning to that ugly blob to retaliate. Although, he did have another blast of fire in mind, it seemed the Persona had other ideas...]

[...that was kind of creepy, actually.]

[Otoha just grinned at the attack, taking it and wavering for a moment, but not backing down. He leaped high into the air, attempting to bring down a powerful sword slice on the robot's... robot. Whatever, he wasn't going to judge.]

Keh!

[That dropped him to his knees. He felt like he was sorely injured. Enough so that he was barely holding onto his consciousness. Out of his gauntlet rolled a small stream of blue blood, which would probably dispel any rumors of him being a robot. But he simply wasn't cut out for close quarters combat.

He issued one more order, probably the last he'd give in the fight. The Battlesuit shot at Otoha, lightning from the Zio attack coming forth from its weapons.]

[Anant suddenly stilled when the mind magic of Marin Karin washed over them, and for a moment they seemed utterly frozen in place. What the-

Then Dionysus went absolutely nuts.

Agilao was immediately cast in random, wild movements, the fire crashing all around the very small arena]
