Change
The Game is Changed
☢
What: Mictlan
Where: Mictlan
Summary: 2/2/10AC
Warnings: Tentacles and Kandori (not necessarily in that order but thankfully not together)
Note: Only bring one of your characters to the log and if they are fit to go that night. This isn't part of the main event for this month.
It was obviously a dangerous mission, and hidden away by the cover of the reddish tint of the 13th hour. With most of the city still focused on what had happened during the tournament and the Anoli, there was little question to the disappearing Seven and Wisemen...or if they had noticed at all.
But eventually that would readily turn into questions, and the panic and confusion that could ensue might be dangerous. Thus it was time for a little trip into the temple that once yielded no answers and see what exactly had happened...and hopefully able to stage a rescue attempt. But what did the Mictlan have for them in store, and would they be able to get in at all? It was hard to judge.
As the Visitors arrived, they were ushered into the front doors of the temple in the center of the ghost town. Most of the demons were being kept at bay, in a bid to better keep their strengths and powers.
For who knew what they might need in there...the video had cut off so many times, after all.

"I'm fairly new to persona usage in general, but mine does qualify as 'support.' And I have other abilities that I generally consider useful."
Actually, her other abilities are more useful than her persona at this point.
Closed conversation!
The familiar voice echoes only for the goddess.
"What?!?"
There are so many things she could add after the 'what' that she didn't feel the need to expand.
Re: Closed conversation!
Also because her mun is dumb and didn't think to request Palutena's sanctum when she apped. So she can't really do things the usual way.Plus these people need all the help they can get."Hello, Viridi. Was there something you needed?"
Re: Closed conversation!
Theirs was truly a relationship built on mutual trust and compassion.
"What are you doing?! Humans with blowtorches are one thing, but don't you remember what happened with the Chaos Kin?! You don't know what's down there! For all we know, it could do the exact same thing again! And I hate to say it, but you're pretty darn powerful, and I don't have a Lightning Chariot to shatter any unbreakable forcefields you put up this time! It's practically your divine responsibility to stay out of this hot mess! And what about Pit?! He's still half-dead in the hospital and you're going to wander down in there?! What am I supposed to tell him when he wakes up and your soul is eaten?! 'Whoops, sorry, Pit, guess we better start interviewing for a new light goddess! What about Luma, Luma has a nice ring to it!'?! And these humans are not trustworthy to protect you; we didn't rely on Pit for his scintillating intelligence or witty conversation! They can't use divine weapons and they have pudding for brains! At least Pit listened to us when we had plans and strategies and whatever! And -- ..............."
Viridi will go on like this for some time if she's not stopped.
Re: Closed conversation!
And waits.
And waits.
Still waiting..... She's not going to stop is she?
"That's enough, Viridi. Do you really think this is the sort of problem we can stay out of and still solve? Things aren't the same as they were back home. These people need help. I can't just sit idly by. And Pit..."
She pauses, because this touches on the other reason she's doing this. She'd been right there and still unable to protect him. And what's worse, they have very little to show for that fight. This is the only lead right now. The only thing that might yield more information. But she really doesn't want to discuss her current feelings of inadequacy with Viridi, so she tries to keep her mental voice firm and even toned.
"Pit will be alright. We both know how strong he is."
She's worried, which is why she did not tell him she was coming here, but has faith in his recovery.
"And while I appreciate the concern, I'm a big girl. I can take care of myself."
no subject
Viridi wasn't a big girl in any sense of the phrase, anyway.
"Palutena...! My vision doesn't go in that far! I've tried; it's blocked! It gets all hazy and... whatever. Just like my powers are limited in the Chaos Vortex. This is not a good place...! I won't be able to help you if there's trouble - I don't think I can even do the floor food.
"You've got to reconsider. What can you do for them that's worth the possibility of total disaster?"
no subject
............................
"Okay, so you do have a point there..."
That is such a depressing thought. But then maybe this time will be different? How often can the same plot cliche possibly come up? Oh, wait. Nintendo...
Crap.
"At any rate, there are people going in who are even less capable. They're going to need every bit of help they can get. I can't really turn my back on them now..."
Especially not after telling them she'd go.

Viridi harumphs and makes more vague sounds of dissatisfaction.
"At least bring along a Drink of the Gods or something."
no subject
She's grateful for the concern. And also for the fact that she knows Viridi will take care of Pit if something does go wrong.
"I'll be careful. I plan to hang back and offer support anyway. So I shouldn't be in too much danger."
no subject
...
...
...
"Not that I care about that." Good save Viridi. "I mean - for our world's sake. Your policy on humans is terrible, but at least you keep the world clear of Underworld menaces."
no subject
Yeah, it's cool. Palutena knows they're friends. That's why she's letting her have that save without comment. Just this once.
"I'll be back soon, Viridi."
no subject
"And you'd better. I am not babysitting Pit the rest of my existence if you don't."
Viridi out!

"What kind of abilities do you have? I'm hoping that someone is able to scan enemies for strengths and weaknesses, and keep us in contact with each other." If Fuuka were here this wouldn't be a problem, but sadly she's not.
no subject
She taps her finger on her chin thoughtfully.
"Let's see, I can manipulate light.... grant someone else the power of flight for a short while... I'm pretty proud of my scrying abilities, but I'm not sure how effective those will be once we're inside."
