Summary: The Battleships Nadesico swoops over the city and lands in the park
Warnings: Uh... Space... Battleships?

[Ruri looked over her controls, the Nadesico was operating as it should, however keeping it running completely on her own was taking its toll on the girl and she decided it was time to put the ship down. Radioing the city to warn of the event before she started to bring it down avoid as much panic as possible she let out a breath.]

"This is Ruri. I'm landing the ship in the park."

[The ship came out of the cloud bank it was hiding in and circled the city slowly twice, scanning the ground for a place that was large enough to accommodate it and wouldn't cause the citizens any worry due to a big battleship sitting there. After the second pass the ship slowly came to settle over the Capricorn Ward, in an unused field that was a ways away from the trains but not unwalkable.

The ground shaking slightly as it landed and steam belched from its exhaust ports, the ramp to the catapults opened, and then a ramp down lowered. Shortly after the small blue haired girl started down the ramp, dwarfed next to the size of the ship.]

Asem had been in the park himself, running a routine checkup on the AGE-2's systems. Of course, that came to a halt as he saw the battleship descending not far from where he was.

He stared, awestruck, at the ship. The Diva may have been a big ship, but this one was bigger still and looked little like the battleships he's seen, both EFF and Vagan. It didn't take long for his curiosity to get the better of him, and so he began moving toward it, the AGE-2 walking at a steady pace.

When he got there, he saw the girl walking down the ramp, and immediately recalled his conversation with Ruri several days ago. But hey, this gave him an idea. He opened the hatch and descended via cable to the ground, waving to the girl to get her attention.

...As if an 18.3-meter tall, all-white mech wasn't a massive attention-grabber already.

[Ruri descended the ramp and stretched, taking a breath and yawning slightly. She wasn't a pilot and Omoikane had complained bitterly the whole time as this wasn't a terribly interesting task for the computer system. Due to this it took a minute for her to see the mecha and nod slightly to the pilot exiting it.]

"So this is the ship you mentioned, huh?" Asem commented as he approached. "It doesn't look like any ship I know back home. It's a bit bigger than the one I'm used to, too."

[She nods a bit]

Well its based off of gravity waves, if that's not a technology you have the ships would probably be rounder.

[Asem scratches his head.]

Not really? I mean, the Diva has a pair of plasma engines for propulsion, but it's not very round.

Did it have artificial gravity? Or use a magnetic system?

It's got artificial gravity, but the only place it's as strong as Earth's is the residential area. The rest of the ship has just enough to stand securely.

Hrm, I'm curious how it works then. The ship didn't come with you, did it?

Huh? No, I'm not with its crew anymore. I got transferred to the Special Forces nearly a year ago.

I see. Still, seeing other world's technology would be interesting. Just seeing if they have perfected boson jumping would be something.

...Boson jumping?

[He looks like he doesn't understand that term.]

A form of faster than light travel. It allows nearly instant travel from Earth to the Jovian colonies but the theory behind it isn't well understood. We're still stuck using the relics of Mars for it.

...Yeah, we don't have that. We can go between Earth and Mars pretty quickly, but that's all conventional travel.

[She nods and looks slightly embarrassed]

I see. Then again, theoretical physics seems to be something that really only I am interested in.

Well, someone needs to be interested in that kind of thing. Otherwise we can't advance.

I suppose, but there aren't many people who like discussing it.

It's pretty advanced stuff. Even I don't follow it. That's more my dad's area.

[She nods a little bit and looks back at the ship]

I'm not even certain it'd be helpful here though.

[Asem follows her gaze.]

How many mobile suits could this ship hold?

It normally held 6 Aestivalus, but can accommodate up to 12 as well as their alternate frames in an emergency.

What's a mobile suit?

[Asem jerks his thumb at the mech standing behind him.]

That's a mobile suit. A humanoid machine just under twenty meters tall.

Then six normally and in an emergency 12. I guess if they only had one frame as many as 24, but that would be very problematic, especially if they needed custom frames for specific missions.

That wouldn't be a problem with mine. It only came with the wear parts it's got on now.

So...would it be okay to store it aboard?

As long as you don't do anything to damage the systems I don't see a problem with that.
