Summary: We have a pool now!  Summer fun for everyone!

[It's summer, and what would summer be without a pool?  Well, thankfully for the good citizens and Visitors of Hinoto-Ri, the public pool is finally open for business!  With three different pools, a snack bar, and plenty of space on the grass for playing frisbee or just laying out to get some sun, there's plenty of summertime fun for everyone!  There are also a number of pool toys to use, ranging from basketball hoops and plastic balls, water noodles, boogie boards, and just about anything else you can think of.]

!!! [ Mikale almost chokes on his drink when he hears his name called. It's not that he dislikes Zoe, but that he's still really shy and awkward. She's such a bright person. ] Z-Zoe, hey, hi... Good afternoon.

[Zoe doesn't seem to mind the awkward at all, and just gives him a cheery smile.] So, how have things been for you since we last spoke?

[shadowsher]

J-job... hunting... And exploring.

[ He's embarrassed to admit to these things. Mostly the exploring, because it means admitting to the fact that he has purposefully been a shut-in as of late. ]

[papillonmagique]

Oh, that's good! [Hey, at least he's still getting out and about.]

I have also been exploring. As well as encouraging my roommate to get out a bit more as well.

[shadowsher]

Roommate?

[ He isn't going to pry if she doesn't want to elaborate, though. ]

What kind of exploring have you been doing?

[papillonmagique]

Mmhm, I'm living with someone called Judas. You might have seen him, he has dark, wavy hair and tends to look rather gloomy.

And I've just been seeing what kinds of places there are in this city. It's far different than the city I grew up in, and I can't help but be curious.

[shadowsher]

Oh, yeah, I think I've met him... Maybe. [ He pays attention. ]

Found anything interesting?

[papillonmagique]

Hmm... Well, there are these odd drums that can take you to other drums around the city. A very handy way to get around, at least.

[shadowsher]

Drums? So... they teleport you? Teleportation drums?

[papillonmagique]

Exactly! They're like those large, man-sized drums and when I used one, I was able to be taken to another drum in another part of the city.

[shadowsher]

And it's safe? You sure there aren't any strings attached? [Since his teleportation ability has a few risks involved. ]

[papillonmagique]

I'm not completely sure. It seems perfectly safe and such during the day, but I haven't dared to try it during the 13th hour.

[shadowsher]

I meant more... What happens if it malfunctioned? You could stuck between "here and there." [ Don't get stuck, Zoe! He actually likes you! ]

[papillonmagique]

Well, it would be a bad situation to be caught in. But don't worry, I vastly prefer walking around the city, it's good exercise and I won't be using the drums unless I need to get somewhere in a hurry.

[shadowsher]

Okay... G-good. Don't get in trouble...

[ Mumbling because he worries so; ] I'd rather you didn't get stuck.

[papillonmagique]

[Zoe blinks at him, looking surprised for a second, before smiling softly.] Don't worry, I'll make sure to be careful and not get myself stuck.

[shadowsher]

Good. [ He can relax now. ] So, you're at the pool today? Swimming...?

[papillonmagique]

Yes, it's been a while since I've gone swimming, so it was nice to get back into it. I think I'll be doing it more often since the pool is opened for the summer.

And what about you? Do you plan do go swimming?

[shadowsher]

Swimming has never really been my... "thing", I guess. I'm just here to watch. [ Making himself sound a lot more creepy than he intends to be. ]

[papillonmagique]

... You miiiiiight want to rephrase that. [Her grin isn't a nice one, Mikale.]

[shadowsher]

Wh-what? I just don't like swimming! [ Socially inept. ]

[papillonmagique]

[Now she just snickers to herself.] The 'I'm just here to watch' phrase could be taken the wrong way. But don't worry, I know what you mean.

[shadowsher]

Wha- [ Oh. Now he's properly embarrassed. ] No no no! I mean, I'm not even interested in anyone like that! I'd only watch Satou that way! [ And he digs his grave deeper.

And people wonder why he has no friends. ]

[Zoe stop laughing at him, that's mean.] I see, I see! So, Satou is both your friend and the one you like?

O-of course! I haven't said otherwise, have I? [ Wait ] How did you figure that out?
