Welcome to the Matrix
Who: Open log for all Visitors
Where: IN THE DIGITAL REALM
When: Backdated to July 15th and 16th
Summary: The Government has finally finished its antivirus protocols, and is providing the populace with a way to fight back
Warnings: The usual fight log warnings
After nearly a full week of corrupted files, bricked laptops, improperly filtered network posts, robots going haywire, and general computerized chaos, the Government of Hinoto-Ri has finally stepped in with an announcement of its own. On July 15th, Kandori sends out a short citywide announcement, accompanied by a heavily encrypted file sent directly to everyone's COMPs, which will begin auto-installing as soon as it is received. The announcement is short and concise, informing the Visitors that the Hinoto-Ri Government has developed a new app allowing Visitors to access the network in virtual space by directly connecting their consciousness through an uplink established by the nanomachines. This will allow the Visitors to confront the viruses, which have been determined to composed of programming code tainted by demonic essence, as easily as they would any other demons wandering about during the 13th Hour. Caution is highly recommended, however, as any damage taken in the virtual world will hurt in the real world as well - additionally, remaining connected for too long will result in extreme mental and physical fatigue. There will also be instructions to speak with either Atsuro or Ruri to receive antivirus protocols enabling the viruses to be defeated permanently.
Once connected, characters will find themselves in a vast virtual landscape like something out of the movie TRON, with programs and electrical connections whizzing past in every direction. And in the midst of it all, littered across the landscape, are countless copies of the demonic computer viruses that have been plaguing the network and causing havoc for the past five days. Visitors will find themselves able to use any weapons or powers they have in the real world, but will have the easiest time accessing their Personas, as they already exist as part of the user's subconscious and are floating even closer to the surface of the Visitors' thoughts in a realm based on pure information and thought. The Government has requested as many Visitors as possible to enter the digital world to assist with the problem, and while their own servers are locked down as they deal with that infestation themselves, the Visitors are expected to clean up their own network with extreme prejudice. Most of the viruses are the lower level floating smiley faces, with the three bosses lurking at the center of it all, only accessible once the small fry have been eliminated. Taking out the boss viruses will result in the simultaneous elimination of all lesser viruses spawned from them, but the boss viruses will only be accessible on the 16th, the last day of the event.
Good luck, everyone!
((OOC: This is an open battle log. There will be three subthreads - one for each of the 'boss' viruses. Anyone who just wants to fight the lesser viruses can feel free to make their own threads. The mods will not be running the fights, so players are encouraged to handle the battle threads however they see fit. This is also a chance for everyone to use their Personas, as battles fought in the digital realm still count toward unlocking new skills. And those waiting to awaken their Persona for the first time may find it easier to do here! Basically, it's just a free-for-all combat log like the monthly 13th Hour logs, so have fun with it! ^_^))

Ah ha! There's the Creeper virus!
Oh, hello there! Are you here to help contain it too?

Germany -> Tachikoma -> Io for post order?
Gah! Sorry I didn't reply sooner! That order works for me, will track this now...

[Well, it looks like Nano's beaten up enough of the smaller viruses to regain her speech function. But she's worried about Senri charging blindly toward one of the boss viruses all on his own, so she's come over to help him out.]

Of course now that Tachikoma has made it here, by itself, she's starting to think maybe she should have formed a team first. In fact, she's starting to look around for others before the giant virus notices her.]

What are these things...?

They're Virus Type C! Apparently they are spawned from the Creeper virus, or copied from one another. They're one of the types of viruses that have been slowing down everything on the network! I think they just like to replicate and fill up free space, so they're not as bad as some of the other types, but they're still causing a problem with their replication going unchecked.
[Tachikoma seems pretty cheerful about this, but then this is an environment she's most use to. Not to mention these viruses are much less damaging in regards to data then the others.]

[He's still pretty puzzled. Hooray for coming from a technologically primitive world.]

[Agatha has just arrived, and she is...basically looking around in something resembling wonder at cyberspace. She has never seen anything quite like this, and it is- She supposes it is beautiful... No, it definitely is. It's awe-inspiring, the form that zeroes and ones and semicolons can end up taking.
And humans made it.
... She gazes at her own gloved hands, contemplatively. Flexes her fingers for a moment. All she can do is destroy and heal, but...This has nothing to do with the family curses. She looks at the world around her again, then back at the gloves.] Maybe, someday...
[Once this is over, perhaps she can start studying...It doesn't have to be anything fancy. She knows she's not capable of things like that. Start small, and then...]

[Agatha has just dealt with some of the small fry - well, she kind of had to. Punching it wasn't working, but calling on her Persona to cast Agi had a better effect.
There was just the minor problem of her Persona freaking her out, being as it very strongly resembles an angel. It's enough to make the otherwise stoic girl de-summon it as fast as possible and wrap her arms around her shoulders, shivering. Why did it have to be an angel...
Hopefully nobody saw that...but with her luck...?]

You can get a different Persona later. Keep moving - you can't afford to let fear get in your way. Deal with it later.
[It might be harsh, but it's what has to happen for the moment.]
no subject
Yes sir. I apologize for causing a delay.
[She'll think on it later. For now, there's a duty that needs done. As she starts walking, not looking back, she removes her gloves. There are people that will need quick healing, she thinks, and she can fix herself up after.
...
Aggie pls.]

Norn moves back, while Orochi strike a group of enemies at once.]
If it's useful, just utilise it to your advantage. Oh, and don't attack my demons by accident.

Do you or your - allies, require healing?
[She's not sure of the exact rigors of summoner etiquette okay. Allies sounds close enough, since they're obviously helping the white-haired girl instead of hurting her.

Human technology is fascinating.]
...How intriguing. To think, the combination of the demonic and human technology could give rise to this as well...
[Though Alcor may be a bit too engrossed in studying the viruses as he wanders too close to them for comfort, to say the least. They might be hostile, but he's dealt with worse. He also knows how to defend himself (and doesn't quite care if he gets hurt), so he sees little harm in it.
Others might not see it that way, however.]

He could crush them in an instinct.
