Summary: The most terrible romantic day of the year has arrived!

You awaken in a dark room.

...To the sound of giggling.

"Ohmygosh, they're finally awake!" The shrill voice elicits an uncontrollable wince of pain; as the lights flicker on, the wince is liable to evolve into a full-on expression of abject horror. Everything is pink. The bed is pink. The walls are pink. The flower petals are pink. The confetti and streamers are pink. The enormous scented candles strewn about everywhere are pink.

............The tight briefs and/or lingerie that may or may not be on your body in place of your own underwear are pink (You do get to keep your clothing, so this part is optional if you don't want to play it - your characters can wake up in their normal bedclothes or day clothes if you like. However, if your characters do wake up in sexy underwear or their PJs, their normal clothes will be in a nearby dresser.)

Before you have too much time to consider exactly what's going on, the voice sounds again.

"We are going to have so much fun! We just knew the two of you would be perfect together. No connection to the outside world whatsoever! No need to thank us! Now, we'll just be here in the corner and you two can just... oh, you know!"

The fairy blushes and sighs longingly.

"OK! Good luck!"

'The two of you'? What t --

Right about then, you realize someone else is in bed next to you.

[The event has begun! Please refer to this post to see how things will go. If you prefer not to have fairies directly involved, they will very generously allow you a little time ~alone~ if you ask, though they will return. Otherwise, they will be scribbling notes, drawing and narrating your "steamy romance" (romance may not be as steamy as implied). Characters can attack the fairies all they like, but it will have no effect, as they're projecting themselves in with magic while they watch from the safety of their little pixie laptops.

Remember that you control the fairies and what they say. We've created an npc account pixielove and you can find the password here, so have fun! You're free to use the account or not at your discretion.

Additionally, for the 14th to the 15th at night, anyone stuck together will not be able to contact the outside world. Don't worry, the fairies will let everyone know you're safe!]

One of the pixies whispers loudly.

"Tame the wild beast with the power of looooove~"

[Annnd now the fairies can have a confused head tilt. Were they talking about him....? That's twice now they've used that word. So he turns back to Kotoha, points at himself and asks.]

Beast....?

[unbroken_chain]

"Probably the...arm thing, I think."

[bear_necessities]

[Oh. He nods. That makes sense. He's still not quite sure what they want though.

He decides to inspect a heart shaped box of chocolates sitting on a table. It says 'Happy Valentine's Day' on it. He stares at it intently.]

Ha...hap....hap-py.... happy.

[He might be trying to read it.]

V...va...val.....en...

[No. That one is too hard. He frowns.]

...oh dear.

"Happy Valentine's Day."

Kotoha's voice is steady, without a trace of her earlier bemusement or her normal levity. This isn't something to be joked about.

[bear_necessities]

[He appreciates the help. He's only just learning how to read and it's been tough.]

Valentine...?

[Head tilt. What's a Valentine?]

"Um...I think it's a holiday where you give candy to someone you like?"

Kotoha sits down on the bed and pats the mattress.

"You wanna sit down and talk for a while?"

[bear_necessities]

[He's never heard of it. But he sort of wishes he had. There's a lot of friends he'd like to give candy to.

He nods at Kotoha and sits down on the bed. She seems nice, so he would like that.]

"So, uh...my name's Kotoha; it's nice to meet you."

Slight pause because this is still incredibly awkward.

"...um, haven't I seen you at JP's a couple times?"

[bear_necessities]

[He points to himself.]

Senri.

[Then nods at her mention of JP's. He pulls out that book of his and flips through until he finds what looks like an old ID badge from JPs. He holds it up and gives her what is easily the most expressive smile she's seen from him yet. ]

Fumi.

[He's going to want to remember Kotoha too, so he looks her over for something handy to add to his book.]

Kotoha shifts a little uncomfortably at being subjected to Senri's gaze - her hair's completely loose and she's still wearing the slightly-too-tight pink pajamas, after all.

[bear_necessities]

[So nothing handy. He'll have to get creative. But for now, he points to her and asks.]

JP's?

[She mentioned it, so he's wondering if maybe she works there.]

"Yeah. I clean the labs."

There's a slight pause as she adjusts her extremely long hair so she's no longer sitting on it.

"How did you meet Fumi?"

[bear_necessities]

[There is a pause.

A long pause.

This.... is not going to be easy for him to explain.]

Memories.....

[He glances down at his book and then decides he'd better clarify.]

Other memories. Hers....

[They met during the memory swap event.]

"Oh, that thing! Yeah, I remember that."

Absently combing through her hair with her fingers.

"Um...what's with that book you have?"

[bear_necessities]

[He holds up the book.]

My memories...

[He opens the book and pulls out a black feather.]

Cooro.

[And then a piece of string.]

Nano.

[And then a flower.]

Aoi.

[There are many other things pressed between the various pages, but he figures those were enough for examples.]

Kotoha is going to stare for a few moments, turning that over in her head, before standing up abruptly and walking over to the drawers. Rummaging through, she scrounges up a length of pink ribbon before heading to the bathroom and closing the door.

There's the sound of water running - a faucet, maybe - before she reappears, hands behind her back as she walks over to Senri. Placing one hand on Senri's shoulder, she gives him her sunniest smile as she places what's in her other hand on top of the book - a lock of chestnut brown hair, neatly bound with a pink ribbon.

"Kotoha."

[bear_necessities]

[He just stares for a minute in surprise. The last time someone offered him something for his book this way was when he received the book itself. 'Keep this flower in your book. As long as you have it, you'll always remember me.' Since then he'd simply taken things. Something from every person he wanted to remember.

After a moment, he smiles and very gently places the lock of hair into the book.]

Kotoha. Thank you.

Kotoha's smile smooths out into something gentler as she sits back.

"You're welcome."

[bear_necessities]

[One of the fairies squeals in delight. 'Awwwww, that is sooo cute~!'

Senri just glances back up at them in confusion. He's still not sure what these creatures want. As he looks back, he notices the box of chocolates still sitting there. What had she said about it? That you give those to people you like? Now he knows what to do with it. He walks over, picks up the box, and then brings it back over to the bed. He holds it out to her.]

Valentine.

Kotoha carefully opens the box and looks over the handy included flavor chart before handing Senri a toffee flavored chocolate.

"Valentine! I call dibs on the strawberry ones, okay?"

[bear_necessities]

[Oh, good. She likes him too then. He accepts the chocolate eagerly and nods agreeably. He's fine with her having whichever ones she likes best. Then he tries his and oh. That is very good.

Usually the only sweet thing he eats is honey. He's certainly never had anything as fancy as boxed chocolates. He looks back at the box. He can't eat the strawberry ones. She wanted those. But how do you tell them apart? Maybe he could smell the difference....]

Kotoha glances at the chart again and starts pointing at the box.

"These three are the strawberry ones! Hmm...oh! Here, try this one!"

Salted caramel filling.

[bear_necessities]

[He nods, watching her decipher the mysterious chart with interest. If he concentrated, he's pretty sure he could figure out some of those words. But for now, caramel.

Oh, that one is good too. He licks his lips and fingers afterwards.]

Mmm, strawberry. Time to consult the chart again!

"...huh. Honey cream?"

Senri's some kind of Ursaring dude, so Kotoha will just go ahead and offer it to him.
