In Times of Need [Velvet Room Open Log]
Who: EVERYONE
Where: Velvet Room
Summary: The blue door appears and it's time for a little field trip
Warnings: No Scorpios allowed
It was said that the Velvet Room appears during times of need.
They couldn't be more right. In the mist of the policemen and WAND operatives protecting the door, the rendezvous point was well guarded.
As they stepped in, the group weren't given much information as to what exactly you were heading into. Unless you've been a guest before, this entire experience will be completely new...and even if you've been here, the experience is still new.
As you enter, the music is more somber than usual, the urgent beats different from the slow song of before. The sound is louder too, and looking to the left, a ,grand dark blue piano it placed where it was not before, a man busy playing. His eyes are covered in cloth. Despite the song, the music is oddly calming; as if all the troubles of the city and the strange feeling of dread have melted away. Those who know earth's music will recognize it as Beethoven's Pathetique. A multitude of blue butterflies are flying on the ceiling overhead. The pianist speaks.
"It has been over 90,000 and 999 nights that I have been in this room, confronting my heart to write music. Yet here I am unsure of the count and not understanding why...Perhaps I should begin anew to one night starting now?" There is a certain amount of frustration in his voice, as it appears that numbers are clearly important to him.
The music swells, and a singer speaks next to him, lending her powerful voice to his music.
My duty here ♪
Is to calm the hearts of the visitors ♪
Your skills will be needed ♪
For the upcoming task at hand ♪
To aid you I must hear ♪
My heart's music ♪
Thought my ears ♪
Block out the world's sound ♪

A voice speaks up in the farthest corner. While there are many of you, his voice seems to almost come from everywhere, and even in a low tone, carries enough that you can understand everything.
"Welcome again to the Velvet Room. My name is Igor... and this is Caroline, my assistant. Unfortunately, William is still preoccupied. Tonight, we are being joined by Nameless, and Belladonna. They have come to aid you on your journey. We all reside in this Velvet Room."
"It is good to see you all again."
"This place exists between mind and matter... A room for those who gave forged a contract... For those who are here for the first time, you now must know that in awakening to the power of Persona granted to you by Philemon, you are bound to a contract. You are all now guests of the Velvet Room. You all have the ability to hold multiple Personas and wield their powers...a wildcard ability. However the rules of this world are rather...unique. Even if you were a wielder before, the bridge between this place and your old universe is currently...fragile at best. Those who have the ability to see the Strings will understand exactly what I mean."
"As you continue to live here longer and aid this ailing world, the connection and bonds you forge will reinforce your Destiny String, and allow you to truly unlock your full potential."
"As stipulated by the contact, we will aid you to the best of our abilities."
"There is a storm coming, and while we cannot and do not know what it truly is, we are here to aid you in the troubled times, to hopefully calm your nerves and prepare you for the difficult tasks ahead."
Caroline then goes behind the bar and awaits for those who might wish to talk with her.
[OOC : Welcome to the Velvet Room. There but a few instructions here:
▶ Go to the [PERSONA UPDATE LIST] and fill out the information for your character.
▶ To get a new Persona, you go to [HERE] and then fill out a request [HERE]. Remember you cannot get persona that belongs to someone else! You can request a Persona (or two if you are a previous Persona user) until the 23nd of October. This is a short time, but it is for this event only. There will be another Velvet Room visit after the event.
▶ Requests to Caroline can be posted [HERE] and remember you only get one request per month. You can request a Quest until the 29th of October, or wait until next month.
▶ You can talk with Igor, Caroline, Nameless, Belladonna, hang around, have a drink (what is in that drink anyway?) or just talk between yourselves.
▶ Scorpios cannot enter the Velvet Room. If you are a Scorpio there is something quite different that will happen...they will find themselves in the Aramid room. However, their memory of it will only come back once the event is over. Ergo, the log for that will be put later since it will include interesting information...HOWEVER You can request Persona, just in the Aramid Room and THEY CAN BE A LEVEL ABOVE YOUR CURRENT CHARACTER'S. They will stop working once the event is over.]
