The Search for the Newcomers, December 2012 Edition.

Who: Open to Everyone, but only Newly Accepted Characters can start threads.
Where: All around the city! They appear where you want them to appear.
Summary: Newcomers arrive and by now the Government is more ready and sends everyone out to go people hunting.
Warnings: ARRIVALS. Also assume the first thread is the ones who tell you about the city, and the other tags for the character can be talking with others in the city and learning more about it.

[FOR THOSE IN THE CITY:]
They were getting much better at this, it was for certain.

Last month's initial testing of the HORUS system had worked really well. The device which allowed everyone to spot abnormalities; and now even more refined, they could hone in on newcomers at a much faster pace. The leftover energy from the travel (commonly called Magatama Residue) gave them a few minutes to find them before it would flicker out.

Combined with the fact they could appear in most parts of the city, it made finding the newcomers was both easy yet frustratingly difficult.

As the blips appear on your own radar function, it was also nice enough to calculate for you the best transport and destination routes to take to get there. Speed was of the essence, after all.

[FOR THOSE WHO JUST ARRIVED:]
You're not in your homeworld anymore. That much is evident. So how do you feel? Happy? Sad? Troubled? A little of all three? No matter what, the memories of a butterfly man named Philemon are fading like a dream; you'll remember the details, but perhaps not everything he has said.

There is one word that stays with you, however.

Persona.

So...here to save the city, huh? First you'll need to find out more information. And who knows, maybe a familiar face or two...

[OOC: As stated above, only new characters can start a thread, but feel free to jump in any of them. characters arrive with their clothing and whatever items they had on them the moment they were taken; the remaining items will be later found in their apartments.]

"Big Sis?" Vanellope looks up and down the way, then back at Desco. "Well, what's she look like?"

Her eyes light up as she launches into a description, leaning back on a tentacle serving as a tail and kicking her feet in excitement.

"Big Sis is wearing a Prinny hat and she has pretty hair and a baseball bat and and..."

As she trails off, a few tears trickle silently from the eyes on her dress, rolling off the hem and falling to the ground.

"...and Desco thinks she is on a different world."

With that, she just gives up completely and starts crying, torrents of liquid coming from the eyes on her wrists, her thighs, her dress, her face, her forehead...even her tentacles.

Basically she has a whole lot of eyes, do you get it

"So what if you're from a different world, you just head home before the place opens, that's all...whoa, hey! Easy with the waterworks."

Vanellope takes a step back. Yeah, she gets it.

Desco hiccups once or twice as most of the tears cut off, leaving only a few trickling down her face.

"Desco has looked, but there isn't a dimensional gatekeeper here! And Big Sis doesn't know where Desco is!"

Dimensional gatekeeper? Oh! She must mean the gateway to Game Central Station.

"There's gotta be one. I'm lookin' for it too. If you help me get this smelly garbage off my cart over here, we can go look for it. But you have to promise not to get my car damp."

Desco nods, wiping at her face with one hand.

"Desco promises."

Wow, that was some major glitching.

"...It's a good thing I'm driving." She comments, pulling the last piece of cardboard off of her racer, which still looks good enough to eat. "Hop on and hang on!"

She doesn't hop so much as float, but she is certainly hanging on, at least.

"Desco has never ridden in a car before!"

Hopefully this is a ride worthy of a Final Boss.

Oh, if Vanellope's driving, definitely so. Unless she doesn't like going fast. And off she goes, once again disregarding the speed limit but taking more backroads...as in roads that are not really roads. If someone could parkour in a car, it would be Vanellope.

Desco can fly, so she's in no danger and basically having the time of her life.
