01: Exploring!
Who: Yamato Hotsuin and YOU
Where: Libra Area
Summary: Yamato exploring the surroundings of where he lives. Stop being a hermit, Yamoeto.
Warnings:Verboseness None!
It had taken some internal coaxing, but Yamato finally decided to explore the surrounding area. He could hardly reside in a place where he was ignorant of the local geography after all. What are the main buildings, what is the population of people, what is the strategic and defensive capabilities of such an area, etc, etc...
Normally his subordinates carried out such checks, but Yamato knew how to do it himself. It was strange to do it without a gaggle of peons at his heels, though, clucking and chattering about this and that. He actually felt a bit...naked without them. He never realised how vulnerable he felt without them.
Not to say that he couldn't defend himself. He could. It still just felt odd not to have his usual resources at his command. To begin from scratch... although not that Yamato was planning on starting from scratch. What was the point...? This wasn't Japan, and he had no stakes in defending this strange place from threats - not unless it was to preserve his own renewed life.
Without a purpose...it was both terrifying and liberating. He could choose his own purpose now, although Yamato hadn't the slightest clue on where to begin.
So he wandered Libra's streets, hoping he would stumble across something at the very least.

He wandered down the streets, ignoring any odd looks at his style of clothing. He didn't care. He was always looked at strangely anyway. This was no different.
He spotted Yamato, and grinned to himself, walking up behind him quietly.

Only to immediately ease off when he recognised that interesting person...Naoya, wasn't it?
"Hm? I did not know you resided in this district."
no subject
Naoya took a few steps back, giving the boy some space. He seemed the type to need it.

After the chaos of everything that had happened with the securit problems and the missions and..the club...... Daichi had never gotten a chance to check if Yamato was OK after the whole episode with Saiduq. Normally (abnormally?) he'd be more wary, but without the Demons and Ronaldo's team and the end of the world and JP's it was much easier to make himself go talk to the guy on his own.
(Not that he still wasn't scared
most of thesome time, but)Either way he had just about left his apartment, and had run up to meet the guy in the streets.
"What's up? Everything going alright?"
no subject
"Shijima. I'm well. You?"
Look at that, he was doing small talk, even if it was in monosyllabic replies.
no subject
Ahahaha... yeah he still hasn't totally chilled out after that mission, but he's, he's getting there. Definitely not that bad! He offered a chuckle, but then he still looked concerned.
"You sure everything's OK? After the uh... you know." Would it be bad form to actually bring it up--

At the question though, oh, the wall comes slamming down. Yamato's expression blanked and he crossed his arms defensively over his chest. "Fine."
no subject
Daichi's typical completely-anxious-around-Yamato-disposition was rearing its head once more, as it was obvious that Yamato... wasn't, happy talking about that at all. Understandably so! But, still, yeesh.
"Uh-- I'm glad! I mean, I was kind of worried, and the you and Kaito just took off like that..."
We are dangerously approaching 'ramble mindless from nervousness' mode abort abort abort--

"...the unknown geography," Yamato replied. "I don't like residing in a place where I am ignorant of the local layout. You?"

A job was necessary for funds, he knew that. Yamato didn't know what he could do though. He wasn't exactly built for manual labour, and he had heard that official credentials were necessary for works regarding intelligence...
"A gym, you say? Ah, yes, your physique is well built," Yamato said after a pause, looking Ludwig up and down.

Even as he dangled the lures from his new rod, Urataros was leaning over the rail to get a look at the passersby below.

...plus it sort of helped that the toy was brightly coloured.
Yamato stopped with the toy about an inch from his face, and then took a strong step back. He stared at the...thing in front of him with an expression of extreme puzzlement before looking upwards. Who was that strange person...?
"...what are you doing?"
no subject
And what better way to spend that time than by fishing for information?
"What are you doing? It looks like someone's hauled up your anchor and set you adrift."
no subject
The...man did know that one couldn't catch fish in the open air, didn't he? Especially not with a plastic child's toy? Whatever, the insanity of the civilians weren't Yamato's responsibility.
"I was walking, which you just so rudely interrupted," Yamato said, although his tone wasn't annoyed. He slipped his hands into his pockets, debated whether to just wander off, but then reminded himself that he actually didn't have anything else to do.
Hrn...
"I suppose that boating reference is translated to, 'I look rather lost', correct?"
no subject
He reeled in the little lures.

Also Daichi was in this area and he was checking it out. Man...
How come he got to be in the fancier part of town?
no subject
He made his way over to him with quick strides. "Kaito."
no subject
Whatever are you talking about? Kaito is the pinnacle of discretion and definitely not monkeying around in other people's private business!!
Anyway, it's really great that Yamato can actually be heard approaching because being startled by a guy who floats and teleports was starting to get a little old.
"Hey. What's up?"
