[CLOSED] Celebration Time, COME ON!
Who: Yamato Hotsuin and Shura
demifemme
Where: Taurus Ward
When: Night on the day of Shura's Tournament Match
Summary: Celebratory night out on one of Yamato's rare days off
Warnings: Taurus ward so...yes.
The sky was completely dark at this time in the early evening, and the temperature was dropping with each passing minute. Yamato was not in his usual long coat, but instead in a warm looking winter coat with a thick, pale coloured scarf topping the ensemble. His JP's uniform was mostly for show, not for warmth, and he didn't do too well in the cold.
He was standing on the edge of the Taurus Ward, looking as severe as usual. He was ten minutes early for his and Shura's meeting time, waiting beneath a tall looking street lamp. He didn't look impatient, and actually seemed to be lost in thought, gazing up at the dark sky with his arms crossed over his chest.
Hm, it was even starting to snow a little...

Hm, it was even starting to snow a little...

Never mind that jog for him was probably 'fast powerwalk' to Shura...

Oh you're going to regret those words Yamato...

Yamato swiftly bolted after Shura, managing to match her pace even if it was clearly not a jog, but a borderline sprint for him. Yamato was incredibly stubborn however, so the only way he would willingly bow out of this little block run was if he collapsed in the middle of the road from a heart attack.

"N...no, fine," Yamato said shortly, speaking between quick, short breaths.

Just as she was pondering that, a patch of ice on the road hidden by snow answered all her problems by sending her flying backwards. She wasn't sure she had lost consciousness, but one moment there was the road, and the next there were the stars and the painful impression that her horn had tried to cram itself into her neck, bringing tears to her eyes.

"Ar...Are y-you...all...right?" Yamato wheezed, his face slightly red and the air in front of him slightly opaque from his visible breathing. He straightened up and slowly moved over to Shura, nudging her hip with the toe of his boot. "Shura?"
no subject
"F-fuck..." she finally managed before coughing, big tears rolling down her cheeks.
no subject
Hm.
Okay.
Yamato stared at Shura, obviously more than a little uncertain on how to proceed. She was a Demi-Fiend, she shouldn't be crying from a little fall like that. Well, her horn was sensitive, but still, she had certainly suffered from more painful wounds. Did she snivel over them in the midst of battle?
"Th...There's no need to cry," Yamato said briskly, managing to catch his breath. "You are not fatally injured from that fall."
Hm... that didn't seem to be working. Change in tactics.
"Ah, do you wish for me to cast Prayer?"
no subject
Shura tried to nod, but it only made the pain worse. Fuck, what if her neck was broken? Or worse, what if her horn was broken?
"Yes," she whispered, wiping her eyes with the sleeve of her hoodie. At least she seemed done crying.
no subject
After a minute, he cast Prayer, the powerful healing magic washing over the Demi-Fiend. Probably overkill for a knocked horn (in Yamato's opinion), but better safe than sorry, yes?
"There. Better?"
no subject
"Yes. Thank you, Yamato."
Moving away from the ice patch, she got back on her feet carefully.
no subject
"Well then, I think that's enough excitement for us. Shall we go to...wherever it is you want to celebrate?" he said briskly, slipping his phone back into his pocket.

"We will be drinking privately, won't we...?"

Nyx's Bar was less crowded thanks to the cold and the fact that it wasn't broadcasting the Grand Prix, so having access to a private booth away from the pounding music and the dancers was not too difficult.
Once there, somewhat hidden from the other clients as well, Shura took her hoodie off and began her night by ordering a rum and Coke.

"I only caught the end of your fight," Yamato admitted when their waitress moved away. "I wasn't all that interested in the tournament. I had more important things to attend to."
no subject
"I'm a bit disappointed, actually. I was hoping you'd watch my whole fight." She sighed. "Oh well. I'm happy you caught the end of me being badass." She grinned a little.

Last time would have been during the Scorpio Event, but Yamato had been more preoccupied in finding and rescuing Kaito - and hadn't known Shura well enough to care enough about her then.

The waitress came and gave them their drinks. Shura took her, smiling, and lifted it slightly. "Kampai!"

Yamato picked up his, lifting it up in a small toast, "Kampai."
