What: Aftermath of Anoli Attack: Hospital
Where: Leo Ward - Caduceus Hospital Headquarters
Summary: It is the aftermath of the Anoli attack on the Closing Ceremonies. The injured have been taken to Caduceus Hospital Headquarters, and it is time for reflection, visting, or old-fashioned escapes from the hospital rooms.
Warnings: Mild squick if people want to describe their wounds in explicit detail.

Caduceus Hospital Headquarters. It has a distinguished history within Hinoto-Ri, boasting of a staff of well-trained Healers, as well as possessing the most cutting edge medical technology possible. There was no limb they couldn't reattach, no organ they couldn't replace... - they even claimed to be able to bring someone back from the dead (with the small disclaimer that it could only occur under certain conditions and with an obscene amount of luck).

So needless to say, the hospital was more than well-equipped to deal with the aftermath of the Anoli attack on the Closing Ceremonies.

Nearly every hospital bed had been filled by an injured patient that night. The A&E room had been in constant chaos, with civilians crying and shouting, searching for loved ones, or demanding to see doctors or healers to help so-and-so...

There had also been plenty of reporters milling about, shouting and crying over the status of the Mayor's Secretary, and whether the Red Lion had really died at the scene, or if he was still alive and well within the safety of the hospital's ICU.

By the time morning broke, there was a false sense of tranquillity within the hospital. The healers had been pushed to their limits with the sheer number of patients being wheeled in and out of surgery, but otherwise, the situation had finally gotten under control. Now, both civilians and visitors were merely waiting for word of the conditions of their injured friends and family...

[Welcome to the winding down of the event! You are now at the hospital, where you may be visiting the injured, or be one of the injured yourself! Those with RED injuries will be in the ICU, and those with YELLOW injures will be in normal wards, for obvious reasons. Those with GREEN injuries wouldn't have had to go to the hospital at all, so they are free to come and go as they wish!

It wasn't the first time one of them had come by. It was the first time that her head had really felt fairly clear, though. She frowned a little bit, trying to take stock of how her shoulder felt. There's... a dull ache there. But nothing like the piercing pain from earlier.

"A little," she said, finally, "But... not too bad."

Definitely within bearable levels, she thinks.

The doctor released a sigh he didn't know he'd been holding, crossing the threshold to approach the girl's bedside.

"Your injury will heal with time. We have the best technology at our disposal." There was a pause, as the man seemed to somber up. "I know it's dull, playing the waiting game. If you have anyone else who was injured that you might want to go see, well..."

He gave a good-natured shrug. "I can at least check on them for you, until you're well enough to move about."

Well... that was the thing. When Sora had been allowed to see her a while ago (thank goodness, Sora was okay), he'd mentioned the others, she thought, though she'd been too out of it to really remember what he'd said, exactly.

"I don't... really remember who's okay and who's not. But... my brother. Sora." Huh that was strangely easy to say. "He knows. You... could probably ask him."

Or Sora could go check on everyone, but her logic is a bit roundabout at the moment.

The doctor nodded as he went about checking this and that, dosing up the IV bag while he was at it. Whatever he put in it sure seemed to kick in fast. ~~It was probably a damn hi-potion.~~

"If he stops by when you're resting, I'll make sure to have someone take note for you. But, for now...I'm going to have to check your shoulder out. This may feel strange, but try to remain still and take good, healthy breaths for me."

Instead of actually approaching with any sort of equipment, however, the doctor clutched something in his pocket and mumbled a name under his breath. A skeletal figure took form, waving it's disembodied head out, up, and over Xion's body. At most, whatever the persona was doing tingled a little.

Healthy breaths... that meant deep ones right? She had to admit given the significant lack of doctor checkups made it slightly confusing, though... he'd probably tell her if she was doing it wrong. Her relative inexperience also meant she didn't react much beyond her eyes widening slightly at the appearance of the... she guessed it was a Persona? That's what it looked like.

At least the ache was fading some. Even if it hadn't been bad, the lessening of the pain made it easier to relax, and relaxing made it easier to hold still. Her fingers itched to move slightly, but she kept them where they were, breathing deeply. Her eyes followed the head as it moved though, feeling goosebumps rise a little at the tingling sensation.

The persona seemed to hum pleasantly, and only then did it fade from sight. The doctor, meanwhile, looked a little winded himself, but did his best to hide that. His smile was genuine, at least.

"You're making good progress. I was worried about complications, but it looks like you kids are sturdier than I expected."

"Oh..." Xion flushed slightly, unsure what to say to that. In the end she just nodded, looking down at the blankets she was lying under.

Then she looked up, something occurring to her. "Complications?" Maybe it was silly to ask since it didn't look like a problem but this was the first time she'd heard of anything like that. ~~Was that why they'd been so worried when she'd seen them when she'd first woken up?~~
