What: Aftermath of Anoli Attack: Hospital
Where: Leo Ward - Caduceus Hospital Headquarters
Summary: It is the aftermath of the Anoli attack on the Closing Ceremonies. The injured have been taken to Caduceus Hospital Headquarters, and it is time for reflection, visting, or old-fashioned escapes from the hospital rooms.
Warnings: Mild squick if people want to describe their wounds in explicit detail.

Caduceus Hospital Headquarters. It has a distinguished history within Hinoto-Ri, boasting of a staff of well-trained Healers, as well as possessing the most cutting edge medical technology possible. There was no limb they couldn't reattach, no organ they couldn't replace... - they even claimed to be able to bring someone back from the dead (with the small disclaimer that it could only occur under certain conditions and with an obscene amount of luck).

So needless to say, the hospital was more than well-equipped to deal with the aftermath of the Anoli attack on the Closing Ceremonies.

Nearly every hospital bed had been filled by an injured patient that night. The A&E room had been in constant chaos, with civilians crying and shouting, searching for loved ones, or demanding to see doctors or healers to help so-and-so...

There had also been plenty of reporters milling about, shouting and crying over the status of the Mayor's Secretary, and whether the Red Lion had really died at the scene, or if he was still alive and well within the safety of the hospital's ICU.

By the time morning broke, there was a false sense of tranquillity within the hospital. The healers had been pushed to their limits with the sheer number of patients being wheeled in and out of surgery, but otherwise, the situation had finally gotten under control. Now, both civilians and visitors were merely waiting for word of the conditions of their injured friends and family...

[Welcome to the winding down of the event! You are now at the hospital, where you may be visiting the injured, or be one of the injured yourself! Those with RED injuries will be in the ICU, and those with YELLOW injures will be in normal wards, for obvious reasons. Those with GREEN injuries wouldn't have had to go to the hospital at all, so they are free to come and go as they wish!

The two main physicians Haseo had seen previously- Dr. Abi and Dr. Kousuke -were, oddly, not the ones entering her room this day. While both had been by for the usual checkups and the like, there was an unfamiliar, almost skiddish looking man poking his head in.

"...oh. Are you, uh, asleep?"

She turns her head to look at the doctor, then shakes her head slightly - a no. "No, I'm awake. What's going on?"

"Oh, nothing. I didn't mean to worry you or anything."

The doctor tugged his sick mask down, letting it rest under his chin. In the same motion, he entered the room and sat down in a chair by the bed.

"How...how are you doing? All things considered, I mean." He fidgeted a bit, looking at his shoes. "You don't have to tell me. Or, talk to me, for the record."

At this, she looks over at the doctor, slightly confused.

"I'm all right, all things considered. ...And I'm not gonna bite."

He grimaced at the latter comment, shuffling his feet.

"This isn't exactly in my job description. I'm a- well, basically a virologist. Well, a microbiologist, but-" He stopped himself, tilting his head to the side. "...that doesn't matter. I just feel useless, so I was hoping I could check on people. The others are overworked, it doesn't feel right sitting in my office all day."

"Ah." She nodded, pretty sure she understood what he'd come here for. "My condition isn't contagious. It can't be passed on to anyone - it isn't even an illness." She turned to look up at the ceiling, eyelids sliding closed just a bit. "... I suppose I may as well tell you - you are a doctor after all. No, I'm not sick, but I'm pretty sure I can't be fixed, either. I...overused a power back home that I can't use any more here, thankfully - but the effects are still here, it seems." She managed something like a smirk while still looking at the ceiling. "And the effects of that overuse are what I guess you guys think is some awful virus I brought with me, right?"

He let his hands fidget a bit before continuing.

"I don't want people to- ...to be under quarantine. It's horrible, especially when you're already injured. We've had a lot of people who were poisoned, and strange diseases that we didn't know the Anoli had access to..."

Dr. Choi exhaled deeply. "Your results came up strange, and they asked me to check on it, yes. It's still processing, but I wanted to check up on you personally, too. I'm...a bit old-fashioned."

"Yeah, that's about what I figured." She managed another smile - something like a real one this time, though. "Heh, it gets pretty annoying being stuck in a hospital room though." It was as close as she'd get to thanking him for the visit - they were strangers, after all.

His last remark had her curious, though, so she looked back over at him. "You said they'd come out strange - what do you mean by that?"
