What: Aftermath of Anoli Attack: Hospital
Where: Leo Ward - Caduceus Hospital Headquarters
Summary: It is the aftermath of the Anoli attack on the Closing Ceremonies. The injured have been taken to Caduceus Hospital Headquarters, and it is time for reflection, visting, or old-fashioned escapes from the hospital rooms.
Warnings: Mild squick if people want to describe their wounds in explicit detail.

Caduceus Hospital Headquarters. It has a distinguished history within Hinoto-Ri, boasting of a staff of well-trained Healers, as well as possessing the most cutting edge medical technology possible. There was no limb they couldn't reattach, no organ they couldn't replace... - they even claimed to be able to bring someone back from the dead (with the small disclaimer that it could only occur under certain conditions and with an obscene amount of luck).

So needless to say, the hospital was more than well-equipped to deal with the aftermath of the Anoli attack on the Closing Ceremonies.

Nearly every hospital bed had been filled by an injured patient that night. The A&E room had been in constant chaos, with civilians crying and shouting, searching for loved ones, or demanding to see doctors or healers to help so-and-so...

There had also been plenty of reporters milling about, shouting and crying over the status of the Mayor's Secretary, and whether the Red Lion had really died at the scene, or if he was still alive and well within the safety of the hospital's ICU.

By the time morning broke, there was a false sense of tranquillity within the hospital. The healers had been pushed to their limits with the sheer number of patients being wheeled in and out of surgery, but otherwise, the situation had finally gotten under control. Now, both civilians and visitors were merely waiting for word of the conditions of their injured friends and family...

[Welcome to the winding down of the event! You are now at the hospital, where you may be visiting the injured, or be one of the injured yourself! Those with RED injuries will be in the ICU, and those with YELLOW injures will be in normal wards, for obvious reasons. Those with GREEN injuries wouldn't have had to go to the hospital at all, so they are free to come and go as they wish!

The voice is less than soothing, but Pit has probably learned when to tell Viridi is genuinely concerned by now. ...Or, at least, he might be able to tell if he were awake. The goddess's visit comes in the middle of the night for reasons relating largely to Not Being Seen. She had a reputation to maintain.

For what it's worth, this is only the second time she has ever deigned to set foot on Hinoto-Ri in person. Pit has seen her before in her sanctuary, but she's surprisingly... small.

"You can thrash Hades and the Chaos Kin, but a bunch of measly humans brings you down? Did you crank the difficulty up to 9 just to show off or something?"

A sigh, and she rummages around in her dress to bring forth a small, red vial to put on Pit's nightstand. It wasn't quite as potent, given that she had had to distill it from Melia's Mutation ability, but nectar and ambrosia was nectar and ambrosia.

"Stupid. ......I'd bring you to a hot spring, but you'd probably just drown in it instead."

Pit jolts a little at the sound of her voice, and makes himself even more uncomfortable turning his head to look at her. As much as he likes Arturia, he wouldn't put himself through the discomfort of turning his head to see her. Why? Because it's not every day Viridi visits anyone in person.

It might be a little hard to see in the dark, but there's a faint grin on Pit's face.

"'was closer to 90."

He was awake? Viridi is slightly surprised, though she shows this by turning her head away with a sniff.

"You sound like you swallowed a porcupine. Stop talking; it's hurting my ears."

Handy Tsun -> English Dictionary: You sound like death save your energy.

"And please, that was 7 level fighting out there at best. You probably can't even beat Phosphora at 9 though honestly I can't either."

He's injured just enough for his internal Tsun Translator to work. Doesn't have all those Personally Sensitive and Easily Offended filters clogging the signal.

"I'll be okay, Viridi." A pause. "Thanks. For visiting me."

"I-I'm not here to visit you...! I... I was just... passing -- OK no that's stupid, fine I'm visiting you but I'm just here to make sure you don't get yourself killed! Think of the horrible paradoxes you'd cause if you die in a different world, sheesh."

Her voice softens slightly.

"You'd better be out of here soon, OK? Palutena's not gonna captain her guard herself."

"Her guard's not here, Viridi."

Although she does have a point, albeit one she may not have set out to make. Pit pretty much IS Palutena's guard.

"...You know what I mean."

Somehow, her pouting seems a little more tolerable when she's in closer physical proximity.

"Look, just drink that whenever you can move without all of your bones creaking like an old barn. Or get one of the nurses to feed it to you. ...And don't be a dork and like, drink half of it and share the rest with someone else, got it?"

"See, I knew it!"

It's practically a box of chocolates with flowers and a get-well card, sheesh.

"...More importantly, I don't know what it'll do to a human. This is what gods eat; they might just keel over and ascend to a higher plane of existence or something."

Pit tries to laugh, but it hurts too much. :c

"Okay, I won't."

Honestly, the fact that Pit was acquiescing so easily to her demands was almost as worrying as his physical condition in its own way.

"And listen to everything the doctors say, OK? They might not know anything about angels, but bedrest never killed anyone. I mean, unless you get bedsores, but."
