What: Aftermath of Anoli Attack: Hospital
Where: Leo Ward - Caduceus Hospital Headquarters
Summary: It is the aftermath of the Anoli attack on the Closing Ceremonies. The injured have been taken to Caduceus Hospital Headquarters, and it is time for reflection, visting, or old-fashioned escapes from the hospital rooms.
Warnings: Mild squick if people want to describe their wounds in explicit detail.

Caduceus Hospital Headquarters. It has a distinguished history within Hinoto-Ri, boasting of a staff of well-trained Healers, as well as possessing the most cutting edge medical technology possible. There was no limb they couldn't reattach, no organ they couldn't replace... - they even claimed to be able to bring someone back from the dead (with the small disclaimer that it could only occur under certain conditions and with an obscene amount of luck).

So needless to say, the hospital was more than well-equipped to deal with the aftermath of the Anoli attack on the Closing Ceremonies.

Nearly every hospital bed had been filled by an injured patient that night. The A&E room had been in constant chaos, with civilians crying and shouting, searching for loved ones, or demanding to see doctors or healers to help so-and-so...

There had also been plenty of reporters milling about, shouting and crying over the status of the Mayor's Secretary, and whether the Red Lion had really died at the scene, or if he was still alive and well within the safety of the hospital's ICU.

By the time morning broke, there was a false sense of tranquillity within the hospital. The healers had been pushed to their limits with the sheer number of patients being wheeled in and out of surgery, but otherwise, the situation had finally gotten under control. Now, both civilians and visitors were merely waiting for word of the conditions of their injured friends and family...

[Welcome to the winding down of the event! You are now at the hospital, where you may be visiting the injured, or be one of the injured yourself! Those with RED injuries will be in the ICU, and those with YELLOW injures will be in normal wards, for obvious reasons. Those with GREEN injuries wouldn't have had to go to the hospital at all, so they are free to come and go as they wish!

Minako is not injured, but that doesn't mean she can't be found around the hospital.

For the first day or so, 'around the hospital' mostly means in Minato and Yosuke's shared room. Whenever Minato is asleep and the fangirls surrounding the 'Junes Prince' get too obnoxious, however, she vacates to other parts of the hospital, peeking in on anyone she recognizes and raiding the drink machines for cans of Mad Bull and Cielo Mist.

After Minato receives an unwanted visitor, however, Minako ends up staying in his room much more often. When she isn't there, she managed to coach several fangirls to to stop anyone of Geneva's description entering the room. Of course, she probably won't come back and isn't after Yosuke even if she does, but the fans don't need to know that. It's better to be safe.

He managed to make it out of Minato's and Yusoke's Yosuke's room, past the fangirls, though not without being stopped and interrogated by them for a minute or two. He stepped away, into the hall, wings floofed and pulled around himself in a hug, trying very hard to keep a straight face.

He stepped away, and by the time he felt calm enough (and far away from them enough) to say anything, he'd found himself near Minako, wherever they were in the hall there. And she didn't look to be insane, and he was still just a little too spooked to keep his questions entirely to himself.

"What... what sort of 'teams' are they talking about? They sound like they're plotting more violence or something over there!"

Fangirls are freaking scary, okay.

If Minako is surprised by the man's blue skin, she hides it fairly well. The demons around here can look far stranger (and really, that's what she assumes he is.)

"...You ran into the fans, huh?" Minako feels bad for Yosuke. She fortunately has practice dealing with this kind of girl because of her friendship with Akihiko back home, but it's still a sight. "Don't worry... They're harmless, for the most part. The team thing comes from a book they like."

Technically, he'd almost certainly count as a demon, in Atlus terms. So she wouldn't be exactly wrong, at least?

"Are you certain? ...What book are they talking about?" So lost. So disturbed. So obvious he's never been on the internet in any kind of fandom before. He glances back behind him, at where the girls are milling about still, a ways down the hall, and shakes his head, looking back to Minako.

Probably better for him that he doesn't know already.

"...It's a book called the Junes Invasion. They've decided that Yosuke-kun in that room looks a lot like the main character."

"Sounds dreadful, to inspire some of the comments I heard between them."

He bit his lip a little. "At least they're staying out of the room, for the time being. Should the guards be called, you think?" He's just going to defer to her on this, since he feels he knows so little about the situation overall.

Second day - late morning. She's probably seen Geneva's ... card.

When Minato next awakens after that unwanted visitor, it's with something of a start, as the creepiness lingers in his subconscious and bothers him with dreams. He can sense someone else right next to his bed, when he wakes up, and that - coupled with the dreams - makes him tense. But the startle ends in a wince, as the slight movement jars his still-healing side and shoulder.

But only a moment or two passes before he realizes the person next to his bed is someone very safe and very welcome, and he blinks up at her blearily, making some small attempt at a smile. "Hey."

"Hey yourself, sleepy head."

She's seen the card. She's been stationed here ever since she got back from getting breakfast and found it. She's worried about it, but as far as she knows, he's been asleep all morning. She doesn't want to worry him more. "It's about time you got up."

"Sorry. Didn't mean to sleep so much," he mumbles, shifting a little to pull his hand out from beneath the covers and reach out for her.

"I don't know if I believe that." She takes his hand with both of hers, ignoring the IV cables hooked up to him. Since his other arm is immobilized, they have to use his good arm for that. "Sleeping's your favorite hobby."

"Ah ..." She has him there, and he is at a loss for a come back, so he just looks a little sheepish. "Next to music... probably."

The grip on his hand tightens a little and her eyes flicker over to the card on the table. "Still... It's morning now. How are you feeling?"

He sees that flicker and -- freezes for a moment. "I... okay." Does he dare look? ... he thinks he has to, but he doesn't want to. He doesn't want to know that it was real and not a dream, but... all the same. He slowly turns his head and yes, it's there. Reflexively, his hand tightens a bit as well, and he looks firmly back at Minako. Nope. Don't want to think about Geneva right now.

Unfortunately that reaction only makes Minako stare at him with narrowed eyes. From here, it just looks like a letter. Minato would only react like that if he knew who it was from.

"Did you see her?"

"..."

He blinks and then slowly looks away, not at her eyes but instead her shoulder.

"... yeah. This morning. I think..."

"She didn't do anything, right?" Minako is looking him over again to make sure he doesn't suddenly have more stab wounds she somehow didn't notice.

He shakes his head once. "Just talked... and left a card."

"Minato..."

She's not happy, but she can't exactly blame him for the woman appearing. She can blame him for knowing about it though. "Why didn't you call anyone?!"

"Sorry... couldn't really move much."

And he'd been more concerned with watching Geneva than trying to reach the nurse call button.

"Still." Minato, you had one job, stay in the bed and not get in trouble. :|

"If she comes again make sure you call someone right away, alright?"

"Mm." He nods. "Don't worry. I don't think she'll come again."

Minako keeps frowning, not looking directly at him. She's staring at the card instead.

"You know I have to worry, right?"

The way she says it, however, doesn't seem to be only motivated by the incident that morning.

He gives her hand a bit of a squeeze. "Mm." He does know, and he's grateful for it, even if he thinks she worries a little too much sometimes. But he'd rather have her worrying over him than have her gone altogether, so he decides not to press the issue at the moment. It's nicer to not think about it and instead just be happy for her company instead of anyone else's.

She sighs, because that's a brush off if she's ever heard one. Telling him that won't stop him from being reckless, and it can't stop him from getting into bad situations beyond their control. So she squeezes his hand tightly in return.

"You should get some more rest."

He wrinkles his nose a bit. "I think I've gotten enough rest for now." Never mind that he loves sleep and could easily just drift right off again in thirty seconds flat. "I'd rather talk with you." By which he really means, he'd rather listen to her talk about stuff.
