Farewell Happy Fields!
Farewell Happy Fields!
☯
What: Aftermath of Anoli Attack: Hospital
Where: Leo Ward - Caduceus Hospital Headquarters
Summary: It is the aftermath of the Anoli attack on the Closing Ceremonies. The injured have been taken to Caduceus Hospital Headquarters, and it is time for reflection, visting, or old-fashioned escapes from the hospital rooms.
Warnings: Mild squick if people want to describe their wounds in explicit detail.
Caduceus Hospital Headquarters. It has a distinguished history within Hinoto-Ri, boasting of a staff of well-trained Healers, as well as possessing the most cutting edge medical technology possible. There was no limb they couldn't reattach, no organ they couldn't replace... - they even claimed to be able to bring someone back from the dead (with the small disclaimer that it could only occur under certain conditions and with an obscene amount of luck).
So needless to say, the hospital was more than well-equipped to deal with the aftermath of the Anoli attack on the Closing Ceremonies.
---
Nearly every hospital bed had been filled by an injured patient that night. The A&E room had been in constant chaos, with civilians crying and shouting, searching for loved ones, or demanding to see doctors or healers to help so-and-so...
There had also been plenty of reporters milling about, shouting and crying over the status of the Mayor's Secretary, and whether the Red Lion had really died at the scene, or if he was still alive and well within the safety of the hospital's ICU.
By the time morning broke, there was a false sense of tranquillity within the hospital. The healers had been pushed to their limits with the sheer number of patients being wheeled in and out of surgery, but otherwise, the situation had finally gotten under control. Now, both civilians and visitors were merely waiting for word of the conditions of their injured friends and family...
[Welcome to the winding down of the event! You are now at the hospital, where you may be visiting the injured, or be one of the injured yourself! Those with RED injuries will be in the ICU, and those with YELLOW injures will be in normal wards, for obvious reasons. Those with GREEN injuries wouldn't have had to go to the hospital at all, so they are free to come and go as they wish!

He tossed the roll of paper onto Ferrus. Of course, he was quick to clarify but there was an underlying tone of frustration in his voice. Frustration with having gotten his butt kick and frustration that he's sharing Tau tech with a human. The only thing not holding him back is that he's sure humans already had plenty of captured railrifles in their possession so they had an idea of what they did.
"Those are designs for a railrifle, created by our people. They are rough and I don't know the scientific aspects behind it but we are taught how they are built and fixed so we can handle repairs ourselves on the field of battle."
Rough, indeed. He drew them while shacked up in bed himself, while the hate was fresh on his mind.
"Build one for me."

Rather then responding immediately, he unrolled the paper and looked. The design was rough, certainly, but Ferrus had spent his time worshipping machines for the purpose of being able to recreate this sort of thing. He was quietly staring at it for a moment, before--
"...Okay." No arguing, no debating. This looked like something interesting, after all.
Although, wait, curiousity- "Why do you want one?" He's already agreed. He's just curious. In spite of his misgivings of asking the xeno.

Which meant one thing. He needed a better, faster weapon.
"This railrifle can propel ferromagnetic rounds many times faster than the speed of sound. And it can destroy light vehicles and reliably kill Space Marines in one shot."
Though it wasn't quite in mass production for the Tau, yet. When it would be, Space Marines and Imperial Guard vehicles would have a hell of a time fighting the Tau on the battlefield.
"I would like to see them dodge or block this."

However, even with Garviel proud of him... he was fairly sure he was on unsteady ground with him. He wasn't about to backstab him, per-se, but reliable Space Marine murder sounded like outright overkill.
He'd probably like that.
Until he found out some enemies can reflect Phys."...Sounds dangerous." He seems to be considering it, still - but he did already agree. "Albeit effective."

And not vehicles. Or cooking utensils. Though the idea of guns being either was a silly concept, at the least.
"I only plan to use it to kill my foes either way."
no subject
He knows how dangerous weapons are, Kais. What he's a little worried about is who's all encompassed by the title of 'foe'.
"Still, I should be able to build it..."
no subject
That was about all he could offer. But a Tau's word was pretty solid and he had no reason to go back on anything...yet.
w-hoops picking this thread back up now
He didn't mind, really. It'd give him something to contemplate, while stuck in the hospital. As long as Kais wasn't about to kill someone he liked with it he gave very few fucks.

"..is there anything else I can get you?"
constantly fumbles threads like a butt (just putting in backtags woo)
