What: Aftermath of Anoli Attack: Hospital
Where: Leo Ward - Caduceus Hospital Headquarters
Summary: It is the aftermath of the Anoli attack on the Closing Ceremonies. The injured have been taken to Caduceus Hospital Headquarters, and it is time for reflection, visting, or old-fashioned escapes from the hospital rooms.
Warnings: Mild squick if people want to describe their wounds in explicit detail.

Caduceus Hospital Headquarters. It has a distinguished history within Hinoto-Ri, boasting of a staff of well-trained Healers, as well as possessing the most cutting edge medical technology possible. There was no limb they couldn't reattach, no organ they couldn't replace... - they even claimed to be able to bring someone back from the dead (with the small disclaimer that it could only occur under certain conditions and with an obscene amount of luck).

So needless to say, the hospital was more than well-equipped to deal with the aftermath of the Anoli attack on the Closing Ceremonies.

Nearly every hospital bed had been filled by an injured patient that night. The A&E room had been in constant chaos, with civilians crying and shouting, searching for loved ones, or demanding to see doctors or healers to help so-and-so...

There had also been plenty of reporters milling about, shouting and crying over the status of the Mayor's Secretary, and whether the Red Lion had really died at the scene, or if he was still alive and well within the safety of the hospital's ICU.

By the time morning broke, there was a false sense of tranquillity within the hospital. The healers had been pushed to their limits with the sheer number of patients being wheeled in and out of surgery, but otherwise, the situation had finally gotten under control. Now, both civilians and visitors were merely waiting for word of the conditions of their injured friends and family...

[Welcome to the winding down of the event! You are now at the hospital, where you may be visiting the injured, or be one of the injured yourself! Those with RED injuries will be in the ICU, and those with YELLOW injures will be in normal wards, for obvious reasons. Those with GREEN injuries wouldn't have had to go to the hospital at all, so they are free to come and go as they wish!

He squeezes the other's hand a little bit. "It's okay. As long as it doesn't stop you from doing what you have to do."

... They're heroes, right? So... there's always something they have to do.

"... Can you tell me a story? Please?"

"...what kind of story?"

"... I don't know. Any kind of story. About you, or about where you're from, or... your friends, or something..."

He coughs a little and groans, letting go of the other's hand to wrap his arms around his chest. "... Hurts..."

Link frowns. His first instinct is to ask if he's okay--but he knows the answer, and he knows why Link asked him to tell a story. To keep his mind off the pain.

"Well... Before my people lived in the sky, we lived on the surface, I guess. We lived there with our goddess, Hylia. She guarded the--the sacred force of the gods. There was a demon king who wanted it, so he waged a war against Hylia. To keep her people safe, she took a chunk of land with her people on it and lifted it skyward. Then she fought against Demise and won."

"The sacred force... the Triforce? And... and who was Demise?"

Link looks over his shoulder--then quickly realizes this is dumb, because there's nobody around who would know about the Triforce and anyway they can't GET the Triforce from him because even he doesn't know where it is!

"Yeah. It was the Triforce. Demise...he was the demon king who tried to get it from Hylia. Back in my world, we're trying to stop him. He wasn't totally defeated during Hylia's war. He was only sealed. So Groose and I have to keep driving him back whenever he breaks the seal and tries to reach the Sealed Temple."

"Is Groose a friend of yours?"

Hooray, big bro has friends! \o/

"Yeah! He used to be really mean to me, but that was before he followed me to the surface. Now he stays at the Sealed Temple and looks after the old lady who lives there. He built this thing called the Groosenator that helps me keep back Demise whenever he breaks the seal. It's really neat! He can throw these huge bombs from the top of the Sealed Grounds and stun Demise just long enough for me to push him back. I'm glad he did, 'cause it'd be hard to do otherwise."

"..." He's just quiet for a moment while he tries to imagine giant bombs.

... It's something like Goron-shaped bombs being flung at a door.

Don't mind him he'll just be giggling over here.

"What's so funny?"

He wants in on the joke too!

"Just thinking of Goron-shaped bombs."

"Do you have Gorons on the... on Skyloft?"

[sky_child]

He chuckles. "No, but there's some on the surface. They're kind of weird. One of them's really obsessed with the history of Skyloft, even if he doesn't know what it is."

"Darunia, the leader of the Gorons, is a Sage. But I helped him when I was younger and he made me a Sworn Brother! He uh... he also named his son after me..."

... He is still not sure what to think of that.

"Uhm... I guess he really likes you."

[nofairy]

"I guess. He was always kind of... weird. But nice. Once I cheered him up."

[sky_child]

"Did he ask you a lot about history?"

[nofairy]

"Huh? No. He wouldn't even talk to me for a while."
