What: Aftermath of Anoli Attack: Hospital
Where: Leo Ward - Caduceus Hospital Headquarters
Summary: It is the aftermath of the Anoli attack on the Closing Ceremonies. The injured have been taken to Caduceus Hospital Headquarters, and it is time for reflection, visting, or old-fashioned escapes from the hospital rooms.
Warnings: Mild squick if people want to describe their wounds in explicit detail.

Caduceus Hospital Headquarters. It has a distinguished history within Hinoto-Ri, boasting of a staff of well-trained Healers, as well as possessing the most cutting edge medical technology possible. There was no limb they couldn't reattach, no organ they couldn't replace... - they even claimed to be able to bring someone back from the dead (with the small disclaimer that it could only occur under certain conditions and with an obscene amount of luck).

So needless to say, the hospital was more than well-equipped to deal with the aftermath of the Anoli attack on the Closing Ceremonies.

Nearly every hospital bed had been filled by an injured patient that night. The A&E room had been in constant chaos, with civilians crying and shouting, searching for loved ones, or demanding to see doctors or healers to help so-and-so...

There had also been plenty of reporters milling about, shouting and crying over the status of the Mayor's Secretary, and whether the Red Lion had really died at the scene, or if he was still alive and well within the safety of the hospital's ICU.

By the time morning broke, there was a false sense of tranquillity within the hospital. The healers had been pushed to their limits with the sheer number of patients being wheeled in and out of surgery, but otherwise, the situation had finally gotten under control. Now, both civilians and visitors were merely waiting for word of the conditions of their injured friends and family...

[Welcome to the winding down of the event! You are now at the hospital, where you may be visiting the injured, or be one of the injured yourself! Those with RED injuries will be in the ICU, and those with YELLOW injures will be in normal wards, for obvious reasons. Those with GREEN injuries wouldn't have had to go to the hospital at all, so they are free to come and go as they wish!

Oh... ah... I was just... going to leave you this. *He smiles a little and holds up the feather for her to see it a little better -- it's definitely one of his own, jet black and huge. And soft-looking. And... he's offering it to her.*

...Can I ask why you're giving them? [She's honestly curious, distracted by why he could possibly be giving his own flowers. ~~Hey so long as you don't bite her or her friends it's cool.~~]

My clan's hunters protect the humans, where I'm from... so the humans seem to consider our feathers to be good luck. And... I just thought that... maybe people would like them?

*trying not to look all that self-conscious, but-- well, she did ask.* I know flowers are more traditional, but I seem to lack a ready supply of those. ....And a lot of these are coming loose....

*Ewww, why would he bite anyone? That's so gross. ....~~wusspire.~~*

[She smiles a little bit at that. Aww, he doesn't have to be so self-conscious about it. She'll accept the feather, too. Maybe make a small charm with it to hang beside her Wayfinder.]

That's actually kind of sweet. [She appreciates it! :)] ...It's kind of funny, though. People in my home use charms made from seashells for a safe voyage.

*Ask him sometime, he'll put one on a necklace-length string with a bead, like his humans do. Also, can you imagine making a dreamcatcher with these. seriously.*

*a small nod; some little part of the back of his mind was likely quite surprised that the expression was recognizable to her, given that they were from such different places, but he ignored that for now, his attention on the blue-haired girl instead, pleased that she seemed to agree about that silver lining thing.*

*....And very softly, almost inaudibly, but not quite, a low, melodic little burble began, under his breath, a coo of some sort. She might be able to guess at what it was, as it wasn't too dissimilar from a dove's sound. Far softer, maybe, but still a birdish sort of liquid sound, not unpleasant. He didn't seem to be aware of doing it, though... and perhaps stranger, he was able to easily speak right over it.*

*You know, if it actually was a thing he was doing, and not simply her pain medication suggesting stuff to her imagination due to his apparent birdishness.*

I don't suppose there's anything I could do for you, while I'm here?

*Yes, that was an offer for... whatever, really. ~~Maybe he could go fetch her some ice cream from the cafeteria or something?~~*

[It was a strange thing, the small commonalities between the worlds she's both seen and those from others that she's met. Yet that only lent to the mystery behind her gaze as she watches with interest-

Wait, did he just coo? Or was that a trick of the mind? ...Yeah, she's going to suggest lowering the dosage. Hallucinating is not very fun.]
