What: Aftermath of Anoli Attack: Hospital
Where: Leo Ward - Caduceus Hospital Headquarters
Summary: It is the aftermath of the Anoli attack on the Closing Ceremonies. The injured have been taken to Caduceus Hospital Headquarters, and it is time for reflection, visting, or old-fashioned escapes from the hospital rooms.
Warnings: Mild squick if people want to describe their wounds in explicit detail.

Caduceus Hospital Headquarters. It has a distinguished history within Hinoto-Ri, boasting of a staff of well-trained Healers, as well as possessing the most cutting edge medical technology possible. There was no limb they couldn't reattach, no organ they couldn't replace... - they even claimed to be able to bring someone back from the dead (with the small disclaimer that it could only occur under certain conditions and with an obscene amount of luck).

So needless to say, the hospital was more than well-equipped to deal with the aftermath of the Anoli attack on the Closing Ceremonies.

Nearly every hospital bed had been filled by an injured patient that night. The A&E room had been in constant chaos, with civilians crying and shouting, searching for loved ones, or demanding to see doctors or healers to help so-and-so...

There had also been plenty of reporters milling about, shouting and crying over the status of the Mayor's Secretary, and whether the Red Lion had really died at the scene, or if he was still alive and well within the safety of the hospital's ICU.

By the time morning broke, there was a false sense of tranquillity within the hospital. The healers had been pushed to their limits with the sheer number of patients being wheeled in and out of surgery, but otherwise, the situation had finally gotten under control. Now, both civilians and visitors were merely waiting for word of the conditions of their injured friends and family...

[Welcome to the winding down of the event! You are now at the hospital, where you may be visiting the injured, or be one of the injured yourself! Those with RED injuries will be in the ICU, and those with YELLOW injures will be in normal wards, for obvious reasons. Those with GREEN injuries wouldn't have had to go to the hospital at all, so they are free to come and go as they wish!

Wait, those sounds were coming from the bed.

The burdie paused, turning to look back at the man in who was now sitting there, and blinked. He hadn't expected him to wake up yet... but if he was well enough to sit up, then he'd have to be well enough to recover, right? So this could only be a good sign!

He gave him a little smile. "Hi."

Well, he wasn't sitting completely up, but his body was lifted up a bit. He nodded slightly, reaching up to tug at his oxygen mask. They were going to take it off soon anyway.

"... Hi."

"I... didn't mean to wake you," he said, quiet still. "I thought I'd leave a small gift, was all."

Avitus gestured to the big plume sitting there on the blanket. "The humans in my world consider my clan's feathers to be good luck, so I thought... that perhaps it would be appropriate here."

He looked down, letting out a soft breath of amusement.

"... Thanks. ... It kind of looks like it's from my Persona, too..."

What was with everything leading back to crows with him the past year and a half or so?

"It does?" He takes another look at the feather that the man's holding, curious.

"Yeah. Giant raven... crow... whatever. Shouldn't have been surprised it was that, though. My job title translates to that at home."

He still isn't sure why it's called a Karas, but whatever. Not his fault it has a stupid name. It's still an important job.

"Huh." A curious look, trying to figure out how that job title would have come about... but he had too few details, and no clue.

"By your Persona, you mean... the thing you summon?" Just clarifying, of course. He's still not too sure about this whole thing.

"... Yeah. Saw some kids do it in the place I was before. Never had one of my own, even when powers got swapped."

No, he got 'lucky' and got an Atma Avatar. That was weird. And by weird the narration means he took to it pretty easily.

"When... powers were... swapped?"

Trying to figure that out -- how would that have been possible? What powers? When was this? Did it happen here?

"What do you mean?"

"Like... someone who might be able to cast magic would swap with someone who could turn into some sort of monster, or something like that. A human might become a vampire. Stuff like that. Just for the week."

He pauses.

"... Vatheon had a lot of weird stuff. It was a place where a lot of people from different worlds got dragged to like this one."

He paused again, thinking about it, expression carefully neutral as he looked back down, absently bringing a wing somewhat around himself again, so that he could comb through its feathers a bit more, with a hand.

"I wonder what the chances are, of something like that happening here...."
