What: Aftermath of Anoli Attack: Hospital
Where: Leo Ward - Caduceus Hospital Headquarters
Summary: It is the aftermath of the Anoli attack on the Closing Ceremonies. The injured have been taken to Caduceus Hospital Headquarters, and it is time for reflection, visting, or old-fashioned escapes from the hospital rooms.
Warnings: Mild squick if people want to describe their wounds in explicit detail.

Caduceus Hospital Headquarters. It has a distinguished history within Hinoto-Ri, boasting of a staff of well-trained Healers, as well as possessing the most cutting edge medical technology possible. There was no limb they couldn't reattach, no organ they couldn't replace... - they even claimed to be able to bring someone back from the dead (with the small disclaimer that it could only occur under certain conditions and with an obscene amount of luck).

So needless to say, the hospital was more than well-equipped to deal with the aftermath of the Anoli attack on the Closing Ceremonies.

Nearly every hospital bed had been filled by an injured patient that night. The A&E room had been in constant chaos, with civilians crying and shouting, searching for loved ones, or demanding to see doctors or healers to help so-and-so...

There had also been plenty of reporters milling about, shouting and crying over the status of the Mayor's Secretary, and whether the Red Lion had really died at the scene, or if he was still alive and well within the safety of the hospital's ICU.

By the time morning broke, there was a false sense of tranquillity within the hospital. The healers had been pushed to their limits with the sheer number of patients being wheeled in and out of surgery, but otherwise, the situation had finally gotten under control. Now, both civilians and visitors were merely waiting for word of the conditions of their injured friends and family...

[Welcome to the winding down of the event! You are now at the hospital, where you may be visiting the injured, or be one of the injured yourself! Those with RED injuries will be in the ICU, and those with YELLOW injures will be in normal wards, for obvious reasons. Those with GREEN injuries wouldn't have had to go to the hospital at all, so they are free to come and go as they wish!

[Having not only been the one to bring Naminé in but also having claimed they were related (normally you'd need valid proof, but Visitor ID's were kind of weird and the Doctor's didn't want to bother with those shenanigans), Kairi is the first to be alerted about her condition and allowed back to visit.

She opens and shuts the door quietly, not wanting to disturb her if she was awake yet, and slips into a chair by Naminé's bedside that the nurses had placed there for her. Kairi reaches out to grasp one of her sister's hands gently, taking a deep and shuddering breath as she looks at her. For someone so hurt, Naminé looked so peaceful and at ease... it was hard to see, in a way.

If only she hadn't been torn away from her in the hectic crowd....]

[It takes about half an hour, but Naminé does start shifting as she gets closer to the edge of wakefulness. Her fingers flex around Kairi's, and then her eyes fly open. Her body shudders with spasms of pain, and a gasp leaves her.]

Hhhhuh!

[She tighten around Kairi's, but she has to take a minute to catch her breath. When her breathing evens out, she turns her head, blinking away the bright white in the background to focus on Kairi's warm red colors.]

Kai...ri?

Sssh, I'm here.

[She squeezes back gently, face etched with worry.]

Do you need me to call a nurse, Naminé?

[She takes a moment to access all of her pains and aches before shaking her head wearily.]

I'm fine for now. I was just surprised, feeling all that pain when I woke up. [She gives her sister a wry smile.] I guess we were spoiled in the med bay, back at the Facility.

You can say that again. They'd stick us in the pods and we'd nap until everything was over.

[She smiles a little, but it doesn't really reach her eyes. This was one of the worst conditions she'd ever witnessed her sister in, and it was really hard to see.]

Don't tell anyone about this, buuuttt...

[Kairi reaches her hand out, casting a few curagas over the girl until she felt her energy waning. Everyone was under orders to conserve what they had, but there was no way she'd let Naminé sit here in pain.]

[Naminé bites her lip as she watches the redhead. She doesn't need their Somebody-Other bond to know that Kairi has been worried sick. Her eyes practically scream the fact.]

Kairi...

[And then she's being healed, the pain that had once been sharp and ever present dulling to something more bearable. Naminé sighs, half in relief and half to herself, before taking Kairi's hand to gently squeeze.]

You didn't have to use so many...but thank you. And please don't worry. I'm fine. It wasn't your fault.
