Summary: 2/2/10AC
Warnings: Tentacles and Kandori (not necessarily in that order but thankfully not together)
Note: Only bring one of your characters to the log and if they are fit to go that night. This isn't part of the main event for this month.
It was obviously a dangerous mission, and hidden away by the cover of the reddish tint of the 13th hour. With most of the city still focused on what had happened during the tournament and the Anoli, there was little question to the disappearing Seven and Wisemen...or if they had noticed at all.
But eventually that would readily turn into questions, and the panic and confusion that could ensue might be dangerous. Thus it was time for a little trip into the temple that once yielded no answers and see what exactly had happened...and hopefully able to stage a rescue attempt. But what did the Mictlan have for them in store, and would they be able to get in at all? It was hard to judge.
As the Visitors arrived, they were ushered into the front doors of the temple in the center of the ghost town. Most of the demons were being kept at bay, in a bid to better keep their strengths and powers.
For who knew what they might need in there...the video had cut off so many times, after all.

Atsuro glances towards his friend as he responds to Minako's query.
"Er. Not that they're cannon fodder or anything, but we've got demons who can teleport around - if anyone gets snagged, they can warp in and warp out with the victim. ...Ideally. And I mean... if it really comes down to it, they don't die, they just kind of... go back inside our COMPs."
Yeah they were cannon fodder.

"That's great! Really, the last things we need are any more hostages." She's not really sure if the four missing people are hostages, per say, but it's better than calling them snacks.

There wasn't anything to be gained from being pessimistic, but he wouldn't be surprised if the four of them were being hooked up to some sort of diabolical demon soul-extraction machine or something along those lines, either.
"Whatever's down there, it's definitely expecting reinforcements. It's the only reason it would show us that video... But I think we have enough firepower here to catch it off guard."
Brainstorm, he expects, had been crippled from fighting effectively by his size, and he had never seen the others display any especially powerful techniques. The people here seemed to have an eclectic array of abilities that might see them through...

"For myself, I have physical, fire, wind, ice and water Persona abilities. I have a few buffing skills, and can heal and revive people from unconsciousness, too." So a jack of all trades, but she's used to seeing herself as that. With Minato here, it should be even better.

Her sudden recitation of her skills was familiar, and it reminds him -- "Hey!" He glances around for Minato. "Hey, I didn't know you had a twin! ...We were paired up for the tournament earlier - don't know if you saw."
...But that wasn't on-topic. At all. "Er. Just thought I'd mention I found out. You're both pretty impressive, you know?... A-Anyway, my Persona's focused on Ice and Water. Personally, I'm more of a Physical fighter." Says the skinny game geek.

"I'm not really that impressive, though. Minato and I've just had a little more experience with Personas than most people." She may be confident in her skills, but she's not going to boast about them. Especially since they were cut down when she came here.
She won't doubt his Physical ability, though, since she knows about his demon-summoning COMP.

Speaking of COMP, he'll fish it out of his pocket and begin to set his abilities.
"...You know... I usually just equip everything that lets me hit hardest, but the tournament got me thinking... It might me more effective to think more strategically. Predict what the enemy might use and counter it. ...I don't know, though - what element do you think eldritch abominations use?"

"To be honest, I'd say 'almighty.' But the video didn't show anything but them using physical tentacles.
...Maybe they're weak to fire."
She hopes so. It'd be pretty satisfying to burn them.

"I'd take Resist All, but you're right - I don't think being snagged by tentacles is really an attack, per se. Maybe what we need more is to carry around a sharp blade with us.
"Barring that, I'm always up for takoyaki."

Yeah, don't mind Kazuya elbowing his way into the conversation here - sadly literally in Atsuro's case. Sorry friend, get a sharp, pointy elbow digging into your ribs just because. No reason necessary.
"Or am I..." Kazuya paused, sending Atsuro a sly grin. "Interrupting something~?"

doucheupstanding young man in a party store cape and hipster headphones?Those are actually some nice headphones, though. She likes her own, but his are pretty stylish. "We were wondering if Cthulhu tentacles are an okay substitute for octopus."
She ignores the obvious implication in the second line. She wants to see how Atsuro will handle it.

Atsuro has vanished but can quickly be found by following the ghost lights to the corner.

Kazuya looked over at the intimidating, scowling guy before turning to Atsuro, who looked like his soul wished to escape to the other plane to escape his misery. Well, they both had beanies? So at least Atsuro was her type! Unless, she was into the, big strong axe-wielding silent types, in which case, alas, Atsuro.
"Sorry, Atsuro!" he called over to him, although he didn't sound all that apologetic. He tried to be your wingman and failed miserably. Next time he'd do better!
He turned to Minako and smiled at her. "Nice choice though. He looks cool," he said, jerking a thumb at Shinjiro. "Now excuse me."
With that he quickly made his way over to Atsuro, and started to try and drag him out of misery corner.

"I was only joking!" he continued, trying to coax Atsuro back over to Minako - only to pause, "Wait, unless... you were really trying to hit on her?"

"Atsuro-kun, you don't need to be embarrassed. I'm not offended and it's mostly my fault anyway. And you...." She turns to Kazuya. "Be nicer to him. That's the kind of question you ask when I can't listen in."
