There was a tight clench behind your navel, the sensation of something dragging you through the fabric of time and space itself... it was an unpleasant sensation, almost sickening. Those of Hinoto-Ri had vanished from the tower completely when the clock struck midnight from what had just happened, removed from that reality. It had happened with such abruptness that it was downright disorienting to observe. There was no chance for a hurried goodbye, no chance of even letting out a surprised scream...

Those of Hinoto-Ri were dragged back to their own world with very little grace, and for a dizzying and wild thirty seconds, they suffered from the sensation of thick tentacles grasping and yanking their bodies this way and that through a swirling blur of matter. Where were they going? What had caused this?

After those sickening moments that seemed to last far longer, they were unceremoniously shoved out of the Shining Trapezohedron in a stream of bright lights, and into what looked like a giant room filled with computer screens. At least it didn't appear to be the Mictlan, like when the other group had returned.

Pray that you weren't on the bottom of the pile...

Now there was a quiet hum, as an alarm went off. Lights shone brightly upon you as scientists outside were running scans to determine you weren't harmful from your trip. That left you time to think.

You had finally met him...

Nyarlathotep, the Crawling Chaos. He'd taunted some of you, shown you another world you had been sent to save...but in the end, nothing much had changed. Perhaps there was small solace that it was still standing and not completely obliterated as had been his plan. The questioned remained, however...

Where was He now? ...you could figure that out later. There were reunions to be had first.

"Agh!" Why does Adachi have the worst luck in this place? The absolute worst damn luck. His immediate reaction was to shake his leg like one would get off a pet, but when he couldn't even move...he looked down.

That was... "What the heck?" Why were his meetings with this kid getting worse and worse? He cautiously reached down and poked Kazuya's head. Come on, he was exhausted too! "Ow, ow, ow... Come on, stop!" He gave another poke. If Kazuya bit his hand too... "Come on, when did demon kings become cats?"

Kazuya growled around Adachi's ankle, twitching at the persistent pokes to his head. Polyester socks weren't very nice - and they were kind of sweaty too - so Kazuya reluctantly detached his fangs from the man's ankle and slumped on the ground, still gripping onto Adachi's leg.

Adachi didn't have any friends in the tower or friends period ew friendship ew...nor gave a damn about saving anyone, so...of course his clothing would be even worse, especially the socks. Whoops, should've thought about that before you made him a meal. So rood.

"Wow..." Adachi dropped down, though. "I didn't know demon kings could get tired..." Can't. Stop. Teasing. He paused for a moment to stare at Kazuya's... Were those headphones? Slowly he reached out to poke one of the...wires. "Did you get trapped in a weird maze too?" Poke. Poke.

Kazuya opened his eyes to give Adachi a very narrow, 'I'm-too-fucking-tired-for-this-shit' glare, which only became more and more agitated with each poke of his headphones. He was very protective over his headphones, okay? He jealously guarded them like a dragon over its treasure, and if they survived an entire week long lockdown, as well as consecutive Bel fights, well, Kazuya was not letting some weirdo asshole cop ruin them either!

"Yes. I did. Stop poking me or I'll bite your finger off."

Adachi was too tired for a kid to latch onto his leg too, so... He sighed and moved his hand away. Nope, he didn't doubt that threat any bit. Kazuya was officially becoming a pain in the ass.

"Uh... Did you miss the part where I said I was trapped too?" Uh huh. Should he resign himself to this? Either way, he's sitting now with a brat of a demon king clinging to his leg. What a joy it was to be Tohru Adachi. "Or...I think the better question is, could you let go of my leg now?"

Kazuya looked thoughtful. To be honest, he only grabbed onto Adachi's leg out of irritated instinct, and he didn't really have any real urge to mess with him... he was tired, in pain, and upset, even if he buried such things under a thousand layers of "I don't care NO I REALLY DON'T" denial.

"I'll let go..." Kazuya began, managing to dreg up a cocky smirk. "If you help me up."

That...wasn't good. Adachi actually opened his mouth and closed it several moments. He wasn't in the mood to be fucked around with, especially now... But how could helping up the kid go wrong? What ways could there be?

"Okay?" What were you planning, kid. "I guess that's fair, but you did bite me..." His ankle hurts, you brat. With a sigh, he... ...It's harder than it seems standing up with a kid latched to your leg. Damn it. "It's... Okay, uh..."

HE CAN'T STAND UP. "...I can't stand up." With a sigh, Adachi lays back down. You lazy little shit.
