Cherry Blossom Festival (May 4-6)
Who: EVERYONE
Where: Central Park (Capricorn Ward)
Summary: Open - Post-event log for everyone!
Warnings: Nothing
The battle was over, and the city was busy licking its wounds and trying to repair for the next few days. Amidst all of this commotion, however, Golden Week continued and with it, the weekend and next Monday was a day off to enjoy the Cherry Blossoms. And despite the fighting that had been going on, Hinito-Ri continued to adapt, and enjoy what little time that they could.
After all, fighting for such beauty did make you a lot more appreciative of it.

Tens of thousands of trees dotted the park's landscape, but it was the Cherry trees that were the stars of the weekend, the pink petals creating a heavenly smell only enhanced by the small stalls that were busy selling hot yakitori (grilled chicken on sticks), takoyaki (octopus balls on sticks), shioyaki (Salty grilled sea bream on sticks ) and kakigori (Shaved ice with syrup, not on a stick).
The prime picnic places were being taken and families grouped together to eat homemade lunches and bento, but there were still many spots and trees to go under should you wish to do so with friends. Townsmen would nod towards you, knowing that you had helped last week, young couples walked hand in hand, and many young students sat under the trees, reading books or playing games.
In the central area, Shinto monks had set up a O-Mikuji area, where you could-- for a mere 10 yen-- hope that questions on love, family or fortune would befall you favorably.
The danger had passed for now. Life continued to flourish.
Enjoy it well.

OTA
By now he had wandered over to the food stalls, a takoyaki stick in his house and one in his hand (maybe he should grab some for Yamato or Kaito?), and a yakitori stick tucked in between another two fingers, though he seemed to be spacing out a bit as he ate his food.
The fortunes... well, hopefully it meant that his mom and dad were OK somewhere-- but that 'Love' one... He let out a small sigh. Boy, it was kind of sad when a piece of paper attached to a tree was telling you to get over yourself. It felt pretty bad, man.]
OTA
...oh, hey, we met on the firetruck, right?
no subject
It took him a few seconds of thinking before he could quite place her, but--] Oh! Right! You're uh...Rise, right?
no subject
[She bows.]
Rise Kujikawa. Sorry I was so weird before, but apparently that was a Gemini thing that night...
no subject
Daichi Shijima. And, don't worry, I'm not usually that stupid, so I think it's safe to say we can just blame all that Zodiac crap.
no subject
Oh hey, your name is Daichi? Can I ask you a favor?
no subject
[He let out an exasperated sigh at himself, though perked back to attention quickly after.] Huh? Sure, what do you need?
no subject
I don't even like these books, but a while ago the lady who hands out quests in the Velvet Room asked me to get some autographs. I know this is stupid, and I'll understand if you say no...
[Christ, she's turned into her own fans.]
...but could I get your autograph on this? It'd really help me out.
[She opens the book and the copyright page indicates that it is, in fact, the second book of those horrible Junes things.]
no subject
But it doesn't take long for him to let out some sheepish and amused laughter.]
S-Sure, I don't see why not...! At least you're not like those girls that want that Tatsumi guy to bite them or something. Got a pen or anything?
no subject
[She grimaces a bit as she hands Daichi a pen.]
Scary-looking as he is, sometimes I wonder if he doesn't need a bodyguard here...
no subject
Regardless, he kept that to himself, and took Rise's pen to write out his name in kanji on the inside of the book.]
Come on, they've gotta be...mostly harmless, at least? I mean, I don't think they'll do anything dangerous or illegal...
[Ahahaha....]
no subject
an unsuspecting guy with food she can snatchsomeone she recognizes, and looking pretty glum as well. She waves at him.]Hey! You're looking pretty glum for a festival.
no subject
Hey now, they're not high enough ranked for you to just come in and steal his food!!When he realized someone was talking to him, Daichi immediately did his best to perk up, giving her an only slightly uneasy smile.]
O-Oh, hey Minako. Sorry, just uh, thinking about a lot of stuff. No big deal.
no subject
It's never too early to borrow food from a friend! He doesn't sound too convincing.]
It looks like a little more than a small deal. Did you get a bad fortune?
no subject
[He crossed his arms thoughtfully, though made sure he didn't accidentally get the food on his jacket or anything.]
Actually, I got some pretty good luck! Uh, for once. It's just what one of the fortunes said-- but I think I'm just being overly superstitious about it.
no subject
no subject
[He laughs, in spite of himself. Kinda had to learn to laugh at stuff like that with all that's happened, after all.]
Uh... you think I shouldn't be chalking it up to superstition?
no subject
no subject
[What. Demons were dramatic.]

[Yeah he's definitely affecting overdramaticness a bit there.]
