Kotoha's pretty well settled in by now, so it's time to go shopping! She's wandering around the shops of Virgo Ward, Arthur in tow to act as a pack mule. In Kotoha's token nod to staying low-profile, the jackal-like Pokemon is wearing a pair of black sunglasses.

Currently, she's in Junes, leafing through a copy of the first Junes Invasion book and giggling.

[Cancer Ward] OPEN
A remnant of Atomic Robo's memories has stuck with Kotoha, and she's interested in exploring the possibilities - which is why she came to Cancer Ward. Currently, she's in a small hobby shop, looking over a selection of airsoft guns while Arthur waits outside, still wearing his sunglasses and loaded down with bags. The Lucario has his arms crossed underneath his chest spike and is leaning against the outside wall of the shop, visibly bored with the entire process of waiting.

[Capricorn Ward] OPEN
Lunchtime sees Kotoha in the Capricorn Plains, enjoying a pre-packaged sandwich and bottle of iced tea she picked up while Solar Logos and Tesla fly overhead in a mock dogfight, creating a brilliant light show - the Volcarona releasing torrents of flame which the Magnezone deflects with shining lasers and jolts of electricity.

It's a few minutes before the 13th Hour, and Kotoha is waiting in front of the JP's Headquarters with what appears to be a sea lion of some kind, one hand resting on the creature's shoulders.

Kotoha spent quite a while picking out the perfect outfit for her date - not as casual as her normal combination of culottes and black stockings, but not super formal either. She's currently smoothing out the plaid skirt and fussing with the hair ribbons while waiting for Ruri to show up at the small park they agreed to meet in.

"Yep! She's my very first Pokemon."

Kotoha smiles fondly, her gaze briefly going distant as she reminisces.

"Okay! Where'd you like to do this?"

The park in Capricorn ward is always full of demons at this time of night. It's probably as good a place as any.

Kotoha nods at this.

"I know the place! That's where I awakened my Persona!"

Okay, time to head out!

It seems to be a popular venue for that sort of thing.

Oh right, speaking of.

"So back then, you had two of them. How does that work?"

Personas, you mean?

[Because she didn't use her demons at all.]

A nod.

"Yeah. All I have is Victini, but you had Krabby and that other thing."

Vapula. Yes, that's right. I assume from your confusion that you haven't been told how to access the Velvet Room yet.

Both Kotoha and Tomoe tilt their heads to the side in confusion at the unfamiliar name.

"Velvet Room?"

An extradimensional pocket space existing in the shared collective unconscious of all of the visitors to this place. The residents of the room are able to provide us with an additional Persona aside from the one we awaken from our souls.

"Huh. I'll have to go looking for it some time, then."

With that, Kotoha checks the strange-looking, chunky watch strapped to her wrist before catching herself.

"...oh right, it doesn't work right now, huh. Well, we're almost at the park, right?"

It was previously only open during specific times of the month, or during large city-wide disasters, but more recently it's become accessible at any time of day. If you concentrate hard enough on the image of a blue door, you should be able to access it.

[The rest is up to Kotoha.]

Yes, it's just up ahead.

Ah. Go time. Kotoha's normally bubbly expression quickly fades away, her features relaxing into something rather more stoic as she scans the surrounding area. Reaching down into her bag, she draws out a pink-colored pokeball and thumbs the release button. The torrent of sparkling pink light that issues forth at this resolves into a massive winged scorpion at least six feet long from tail to head.

"Scorpina, I need you to scout ahead, please. If you encounter anything, don't engage, just retreat and come back."

Scorpina clacks her pincers in acknowledgment and soars off as Kotoha addresses Tomoe.

"Tomoe, be ready. If anything attacks, use Aqua Jet to get the drop on them."

Orders given, Kotoha concentrates briefly.

"Unending victory is the nature of a genius! Victini!"

The small, fairy-like figure of Victini arises out of the pillar of blue light as Kotoha nods to herself before looking over at Fumi and cracking a grin.

"Hey, you wanna race to the park?"

[Fumi curiously observes the Pokeball and its release mechanism, watching Kotoha and her Pokemon carefully as she summons and directs them. It's not entirely unlike what a demon summoner does in her own world, except arguably more personal.]

...Race?

[Why on earth would she want to do that.]

Kotoha smirks a little.

"Hah. Never mind, dumb joke."

And then, as if a switch has been flipped, she's back to combat mode.

"Alright. Now, shall we discuss tactics? It'd probably be best to at least have a few warning signs if we don't want to deal with friendly fire."

That's fine with me. I assume that's what your Scorpina is for.

[Fumi closes her eyes for a moment, concentrating as the Strength Arcana card floats down in front of her. She flicks it with her index finger, shattering it and releasing Krabby.]

Krabby can contribute Physical and Water based attacks, though I doubt he's as strong as your... Pokemon, correct?

"Very few things are, I'm one of the best."

A slight pause as she considers her options.

"Scorpina and Tomoe both have group attacks - Quake and Surf. They're extremely wide range, so I won't signal for them unless we're out of the area of effect. Zoroark has his shapeshifting, as well as the ability to fire off pulses of shadow that can interfere with vision. Solar Logos mostly deals with fire, but he also has a short-range sonic shockwave. Tesla you've already seen, and Arthur has a variety of long-range energy based attacks. My Persona..."

She trails off and concentrates briefly.

"...I think it's a blend of Fire, Light, and buffs? ...it is so weird having Light be an actual thing..."

Well, it seems we have a rather nice spread covered, then. Though I wonder if maybe I should show you what else I'm packing.

[Fumi smiles somewhat wryly.]

Kotoha briefly considers cracking a joke about where Fumi could possibly hide something but dismisses it...almost instantly. An easy shrug answers Fumi's smile.

"The more I know, the better I'll be able to adjust my tactics to fit yours."

A somewhat teasing tone enters her voice as she continues.

"If you've got your heart set on surprising me, though, I won't fuss."

All right, then. Why not.

[With a small smile, Fumi pulls out her cell phone, pressing a few buttons. There's a flash of light and a crackle of lightning, and within moments there are two demons standing next to her.]

Meet Fenghuang and Tao Tie.

Kotoha visibly doubletakes when she sees Fenghuang.

"Ho'oh?!"

Hm? What was that?

Kotoha replies in a distracted fashion, eying Fenghuang warily.

"It looks a lot like Ho'oh, a legendary Pokemon from the Johto region sometimes referred to as the 'Lord of Resurrection'."

She circles around it warily before addressing Fumi once again.

"It focuses on fire and physical attacks, I'm guessing?"

Hm... interesting. You'll have to tell me more about that later.

As for Fenghuang, its attacks are fire, ice, and wind.

Kotoha nods in reply.

"Sounds like we have good coverage, then. Now, shall we wait for Scorpina to report back, or would you prefer to go look for her?"
