Where: Hinoto-Ri Public Pool

Summary: We have a pool now!  Summer fun for everyone!
Warnings: Probably none.

[It's summer, and what would summer be without a pool?  Well, thankfully for the good citizens and Visitors of Hinoto-Ri, the public pool is finally open for business!  With three different pools, a snack bar, and plenty of space on the grass for playing frisbee or just laying out to get some sun, there's plenty of summertime fun for everyone!  There are also a number of pool toys to use, ranging from basketball hoops and plastic balls, water noodles, boogie boards, and just about anything else you can think of.]

"--Anyway you should still try the water slide."

"Is it anything like the ocean?"

"It's better."

Sorta.

"Is it. I'm not sure of that."

She stands up and peers at the water.

"And don't smell the horrible ramen."

Midori swims to the edge of the pool. "It's better when you're in, c'moooon~"

Very tempting to just pull her in...

Ruri is at that position where pulling her in would be no challenge at all.

"Are you sure?"

[prettytamer]

"Positive!"

Seriously considering it, but restraining herself to be nice. If she knew her better, she would have pulled her in by now.

She sticks her feet in the water and ponders for a moment.

"Hrm... Its been so long since I've used much other than the onsen on the Nadesico."

[prettytamer]

"Cmoooooon you can't get the real deal like thaaaaaaaat."

[electricyousei]

She stops and looks at the other woman.

"Real deal? I'm confused. Its just water."

[prettytamer]

"Have you ever even been in a pool before?"

[electricyousei]

"No. I've been in onsen and in the ocean but that's about it. Why?"

[prettytamer]

"Then you have to try it before you say you know what it's like!"

[electricyousei]

"I fell in the pool at I think Aquarius when there was a teleporter error."

[prettytamer]

"Doesn't count."

[electricyousei]

She nods and slips into the water, shivering a bit as she stands in the shallows, pondering.

"Hrm..."

[prettytamer]

"Thaaat's more like it."

Midori is proud of you, Ruri.

[electricyousei]

Ruri snaps her hand and a small digital clock starts floating in the air above her with a 30 minute count down.

"That should give me enough time to be in the water before I have to apply more sunscreen."

[prettytamer]

Midori stares up at it. "...okay, that's kind of cool."

[electricyousei]

"Holography. I can generate other things too, but given my skin condition, its best to keep a timer running."

[prettytamer]

"Eh? Skin condition?"

[electricyousei]

"I'm an albino."

[prettytamer]

"Ooooh, that makes sense."

In Midori's world, people have white or gray hair for no reason.

In Ruri's too, but she really has no skin pigmentation. The reason she doesn't have red eyes is the nanomachines that turned hers gold but hey!

"That's the main reason I've been so wary of the pool here."

"Well, I can help you with your sunscreen if you want?"
