[Game Opening, Part 3 - A Call To Action]
Who: (Everyone OPEN LOG)
Where: (City Hall)
Summary: (After your Arrival and being Explained the Situation...things start to get a little...tense)
Warnings: (Action)
Style: (The text is in prose, but feel free to write back in action tags if you feel more comfortable.)
After questions were answered, a man finally appears into the room, after having talked with his daughter.
"I apologize for making you all wait."

After introducing himself, Takeharu begins to explain in more detail what they've learned from this world. He goes on about the life in the city, the hurdles they had to overcome...and the strange phenomenon of the 13th hour.
"...and once midnight hits, a 13th hour commences. We had a name for a similar phenomenon in my world; the Dark Hour. However, this one doesn't seem to be caused by rampaging Shadows. We are still investigating as to why it exists...and in due time you might aid us in this task. You will all be able to observe it for yourselves quickly enough, although I would strongly suggest doing so in your own apartments. Not only are you all new visitors, previous Persona users or otherwise, but the moon is full tonight, which means the demonic population will be at a dangerous, aggressive level."

"Now before we continue, we should talk about the--"

"I repeat..."
"Damn! Six out of Twelve," A gruff-looking man stepped into the room. Judging from his outfit, he was important.

"I only know one group who's able to pull this off...the Anoli."
Takeharu looks at Kiyoshi and both men nod silently.
"We were going to talk about this later, but we don't have much time to explain who they are..."

More men appear; members of the city's Special Assault Team. About half of the men have a small flame insignia on their uniform's elbow; this signifies they are Persona users.
While Takeharu explains to the new arrivals, Kiyoshi is busy on some screens, and is talking to others by holographic projection.
"Give me a status report!"
"Sir! I've got two men down here. The doors are holding but we'll need backup as soon as you can give it to me!"

"I've got a group in route, and soon a Persona team as well."
"Reiko and myself are holding, but I believe they've been sending the blunt of their force here and in the Gemini area. No doubt to steal the prototypes we've been working on..."

"We should be able to fight them back for now, but I can't tell how many they are."

"I've got team Beta heading over. I'll send a team of Users as well."
"Sir! Massive attack in the Virgo Sector! They've broken some of the fences holding back the demonic population. There's risk of civilian casualties at this rate..."
"DAMMIT! Send a team of Wands there to patch that up as soon as they are available. I'll send a team with them to protect while they do their work."

"Sir! The Gemini Power Plant is under attack! I think they're attempting a blackout so they can get into the Laboratory."
"This is a nightmare. And where is--"
"--he went off to fight them."
"DAMMIT! We can't let him get harmed. I'm sending a team after him."
"Libra's Coin Office Tower is under attack, Sir! They're trying to get to the upper levels where we have the monetary databanks."

"A heist as well...damn they really went all out for this one...trying to cripple us from all angles."
When he's finally done, he turns over to the entire crowd. His voice is as booming as his body language. Despite the crisis he is calm and collected, easy to see why he is the Commissioner General.
"Alright listen up, since I can't repeat myself twice! We have a major crisis our hands. Anoli have broken into six sectors and my men can't fight all of them at once. None of you know me and I only know your names. Most of you haven't used a Persona yet, but I bet you've all got a few tricks up your sleeves. Magic, Weapons, Technology, whatever it is, bring it with you and we'll form you into teams. We were going to do this much more quietly later, but it looks like the Anoli have a different idea."

"Priority number one is to protect all civilians and to keep deaths as low as possible, even against the Anoli. Disarm, disable, diswhatever, as long as it's not kill and destroy. I'd rather let them in jail and face justice than to spill even more blood from this conflict." He turns around and starts to leave,
"If any of you lack weapons, talk to Q. I'm sure he'll be happy to provide you with some."
Policemen swarm around him and they start to go off in work and prepare, leaving you a bit of time before you are all called out in groups.

[OOC - Groups will be rolled later tonight, and then each mission will get it's own log. Those who wish to join in the first mission must do so in the sign-up post [LINKED HERE], but signing up doesn't mean you'll get picked - only that you are okay with joining this mission.]

That escalated quickly.
Theodore, like his sister, has only his trusty five-pound Compendium
and what else do they need, woefully lacking in Persona and only Metatron at his disposal. Though a powerful one indeed, it didn't even begin to hold a candle to the one his guest had fused once upon a time. Metatron wasn't even one of his favorite t use by far (that'd be Sandalphon, Metatron's twin in lore). But it'd get the job done, he supposes. Until the truth of the matter presented itself and he was able to return to the Velvet Room and continue his duties or be formally released from them as he suspected.Still, fighting... was not one of his favorite occupations. Elizabeth had always liked the thrill better and would often go head-to-head with Margaret, while Theodore sat back and watched. Only if he needed to did he, and their duties did not often call upon it. In fact, the only time he did wish to fight it was worth every second and was the first step in his journey to finding his answer.
Regardless Theodore will do his best!!
... And wait for those groups to be called visibly uncomfortable and hope he maybe has a small party with someone he knows. People person he tries to be, does not always succeed unless he's got a directive in mind.
no subject
Except that it isn't. Because that is not a dress, and the one wearing it is not female, though he does resemble Elizabeth in many ways. The similarities are too much to be coincidence, so Minato draws a bit close, clearing his throat.
"Ah -- pardon me, but... are you from the Velvet Room?"
no subject
"Indeed I am! I am Theodore." And you are... Hm. Theodore's quite sure he knows Minato in the face, but can't put a finger on it. Regardless, he glows with a quiet pride at being recognized as part of the Velvet Room amidst the chaos. He studies the shorter male for a moment, and decides just to go on and pose the stupid and obvious question.
"Were you a guest at some point of time? I would assume to my sister Elizabeth since Margaret hasn't taken one to my knowledge."
no subject
It's really difficult to imagine Elizabeth as part of a family rather than perpetually being her own entity.
no subject
"Yes, she's never been one to mention us... I can imagine why, however, one doesn't think that residents of the Velvet Room would have the same familial bonds that those outside do."
... Wait speaking about family, people with the same last names are family! Yes he's got this. Theodore's quite concerned about Elizabeth and Margaret, even if the former is fine as a fiddle and the latter must be about as well.
"How strange... Are you and Master Minako siblings? She was my own guest while she was alive, and shares your last name. A fantastic individual, if I'm allowed to express my opinion." Talking about people he's fond of was always a good way to get his mind off the situation.
no subject
"It sounds nice to work with family," he remarks before Theo moves on to ask him about him about his relationship with Minako. And at that, Minato nods, a soft, slightly sad smile passing briefly across his face. "We're twins. And I agree."
no subject
They look nothing like. That's what twins are supposed to be, right? They looked alike enough in the face though, so Theodore supposes that counts for something. There might be more, but that's all there is to it to him at this point. He'll have to ask Elizabeth more later. Or Minako. Yes.
"I see. You do remind me a bit of her, in the face." But that's all because you're not pretty. "As for working with family... It's certainly more... Ah, exciting than one would expect."
That troubled face, though.
no subject
"I take it Elizabeth likes to make things ... exciting?" What? No, Minato isn't smiling a bit at that. It's your imagination, Theo. And even if it's not, it's a smile because he knows Elizabeth.
no subject
Aaand he looks troubled. "Yes, she does. There is never a dull day with her around." From drawing on faces to creating songs to all sorts of other non-dog food related events he doesn't wish to elaborate on. They're quite the bundle of noodles.
You look so happy Minato. You're very fond of his evil sister. He can tell. He feels quite sorry for you, because she's very fond back and that isn't a good thing. You're lucky she hasn't put gummy worms in your hair yet. Or scrubbed dirt onto your uniform, proclaiming that 'we must get down and dirty for this event!' as she tries to teach you to dance for Club Escapade. There's a number of things she could do, but you, Minato, seem very normal. Lucky. "... For better or for worse."
no subject
Don't think Minato has missed those troubled looks. Despite his fondness for Elizabeth, he can well imagine the shenanigans she might get up to with siblings at her mercy. But even if she put gummy worms in his own hair, he doesn't think he'd mind. He's a bit more laid back, it seems.
no subject
"Knowing her, she'll... Nevermind, I hope you're right. It feels to be a very expansive city, and with so much to explore I could spend a few days relaxing away from her." He loves his sister, really, one of his most trusted people! But... Being the younger sucks. She's really a little much. "Though, your own sister is quite the same way, give or take the pranks and odd requests Elizabeth gives me."
no subject
He smiles a little, as if there is nothing strange about any of this. "Is she? They should get along then. ... you sound like you liked having Minako as your guest though."
Apparently despite similarities she was nicer than Elizabeth?
no subject
and his sinful feelingsaround her. Not that he thinks less of you, Minato, it's just that as a brother you must understand the troubles (or you will sometime in the future) of having such exciting sisters. The joy too. Of talking about your sister."I hadn't realized I was speaking in such a way." Whoops. "If I may express myself, I truly did. She was my first and most remarkable guest, and I haven't met a single person here that has been able to even come close to her..."
Well, he's at a loss of words. Her what..? Theodore trails off, looking perplexed in trying to find the word. "Her impact, I suppose it would be. No, that doesn't sound quite right. Something only she has, but I can't find the word at the moment. As similar as she and my sister are, I can assure you that what my former guest has Elizabeth lacks in large quantities."

What is talking to people? Margaret's got no clue. She was carrying her grimoire and was, presently, flipping through the pages. Was Tara really her only persona?...
But beyond that, she's totally
unapproachable! Go talk to her, Theo!no subject
It's hard being the younger brother and having to decide, so he's more or less controlled with a bounce in his step.
"It's quite the relief to see you have been pulled from your duties as well, Margaret." Now he and Elizabeth aren't the only ones slacking off. Or wait, would this mean he can't continue his 'hanging out' with Master Minako? Margaret was always the stricter sister. What a terrible prospect. "Not that I favor the circumstances, I mean to say, but I had only met with Elizabeth earlier. What are your thoughts on this?"
Chaos, what chaos? There is only Velvet Room Discussion Time.
no subject
And what chaos? She was just reading her book.
Man, Velvet Room Discussion Time is All The Time."I'm glad to see you, as well." She had been talked to by Philemon, being pulled from her duty by her master was how things worked and she was okay with it. "My thoughts are that we should work to assist in this situation, when the opportunity arises. We have been moved here by Master Philemon for a reason, after all." She hopes. Although, Elizabeth's here, too... dammit younger sister.
no subject
... But it's more of a pitiful sentence. "Along with these unusual circumstances... we've only been given one Persona."
To be stripped of your most basic power as a being of power was very harsh, yes, but Lord Philemon must have a reason for that as well... Right? Right.
no subject
although she's also got Yu on S.Link duty to make her more personae--."There must be a reason. I have no doubt of Lord Philemon's motives." She thinks. "Perhaps it is to make us less imposing to them." She gestures towards... everyone else, really. That... makes sense... right? She whooped so much ass that Philemon scaled her back so that she didn't scare people off? Totally true.
Quietly retcons Margaret into only calling him Lord Philemon, help.no subject
He's got Master Minako on that as well--"Perhaps..." Theodore's still troubled by it, even if he's rather pepped up by the fact that Lord Philemon has chosen him and his sisters to assist humanity once more in a more direct way. Because he gets to hang out with his guest. And there's so much to learn about out here! He'll always be conscious of his duty, of course, and despite the childish excitement Theodore's not really happy about the sudden upheaval. "I cannot think of another reason why, so that must be it."
He has the most faith in Lord Philemon, really, but... There's just a touch of doubt, having heard everything.
"At least we'll be able to return to the Velvet Room once it arrives within the week. I look forward to aiding these new potentials from there as well."
no subject
She has all of the faith! Why would Philemon just drag them away for nothing?
"Perhaps I can introduce you to my charge, at some point, Theodore. And I could possibly meet yours." She's interested in meeting Minako.
Does this mean she might get "this is a BAD relationship Theo" if she doesn't like Minako? Probably. Will you get to say no, Theodore? Nope.no subject
"You took a guest, Margaret?" Color him every shade of surprise, unless it's the color red. Red isn't very good with his scheme. Of course, he realizes how rude that sounds and stands straighter, as if that'll straighten out his attitude as well. "I mean... I had never expected you to assist our master in that manner."
You're more of the behind-the-scenes-testing-my-charges kind of girl.
no subject
"I was asked to, and so I have." She'd... probably be madder about that drop in politeness if the conversation wasn't vaguely about Yu. She was so proud of his growth, man, it stopped her from
yelling atreprimanding Theodore. For now. Surprise, Theo! It's like a birthday present!"It was necessary, since Elizabeth had left the room." She gave a small smile. "I must admit, having my own guest has taught me much."
Like what goes on in her sister's head.
no subject
Less pleased to hear about his sister's adventures, however. "Yes, of course... What has it taught you, exactly? While my own guest has taught me many things," like sinful feelings, "I am very interested in your experience."
Did you learn about the crane machine did you get to play it it's a fascinating device Theodore couldn't conquer.
no subject
Actually, sinful feelings are exactly on the list of "things she learned."
Too bad you'll never know, Theodore.
"I believe I understand why Elizabeth has left the Velvet Room, now." Cryptic as ever. "My guest helped me understand how she felt about hers."
"However, I did not leave the Velvet Room during that time, until I challenged him to show me his power." Is that a little nudge at her hearing about you and Elizabeth going on dates, Theo?
Even if she's lying a little bit. But then, she doesn't want to explain her sinfulness to Theodore, her little brother. A white lie, she learned from Yu, didn't hurt anyone.Probably, really.
no subject
Wow Margaret did you spend a long time with your guest or is that "girl talk" only because Theodore's practically a girl to Elizabeth--Those weren't dates, really! It was just... learning about the outside world in a manner that befitted a resident. Theodore does feel kind of guilty when Margaret mentions not leaving until that request however, since he almost forgot his duties while on those excursions. He enjoys Minako's company and that shouldn't be as bad as his mind makes it feel. "What was the result? I doubt that he could have beaten you, as you are the strongest of us three, but our guests often seem to have a power far greater than our own."
He'll inquire about the girl feelings later though he wants these beans to be spilled.
