[Game Opening, Part 3 - A Call To Action]

After questions were answered, a man finally appears into the room, after having talked with his daughter.

"I apologize for making you all wait."

After introducing himself, Takeharu begins to explain in more detail what they've learned from this world. He goes on about the life in the city, the hurdles they had to overcome...and the strange phenomenon of the 13th hour.

"...and once midnight hits, a 13th hour commences. We had a name for a similar phenomenon in my world; the Dark Hour. However, this one doesn't seem to be caused by rampaging Shadows. We are still investigating as to why it exists...and in due time you might aid us in this task. You will all be able to observe it for yourselves quickly enough, although I would strongly suggest doing so in your own apartments. Not only are you all new visitors, previous Persona users or otherwise, but the moon is full tonight, which means the demonic population will be at a dangerous, aggressive level."

"Now before we continue, we should talk about the--"

"I repeat..."

"Damn! Six out of Twelve," A gruff-looking man stepped into the room. Judging from his outfit, he was important.

"I only know one group who's able to pull this off...the Anoli."

Takeharu looks at Kiyoshi and both men nod silently.

"We were going to talk about this later, but we don't have much time to explain who they are..."

More men appear; members of the city's Special Assault Team. About half of the men have a small flame insignia on their uniform's elbow; this signifies they are Persona users.

While Takeharu explains to the new arrivals, Kiyoshi is busy on some screens, and is talking to others by holographic projection.

"Give me a status report!"

"Sir! I've got two men down here. The doors are holding but we'll need backup as soon as you can give it to me!"

"I've got a group in route, and soon a Persona team as well."

"Reiko and myself are holding, but I believe they've been sending the blunt of their force here and in the Gemini area. No doubt to steal the prototypes we've been working on..."

"We should be able to fight them back for now, but I can't tell how many they are."

"I've got team Beta heading over. I'll send a team of Users as well."

"Sir! Massive attack in the Virgo Sector! They've broken some of the fences holding back the demonic population. There's risk of civilian casualties at this rate..."

"DAMMIT! Send a team of Wands there to patch that up as soon as they are available. I'll send a team with them to protect while they do their work."


"Sir! The Gemini Power Plant is under attack! I think they're attempting a blackout so they can get into the Laboratory."

"This is a nightmare. And where is--"

"--he went off to fight them."

"DAMMIT! We can't let him get harmed. I'm sending a team after him."

"Libra's Coin Office Tower is under attack, Sir! They're trying to get to the upper levels where we have the monetary databanks."

"A heist as well...damn they really went all out for this one...trying to cripple us from all angles."

When he's finally done, he turns over to the entire crowd. His voice is as booming as his body language. Despite the crisis he is calm and collected, easy to see why he is the Commissioner General.

"Alright listen up, since I can't repeat myself twice! We have a major crisis our hands. Anoli have broken into six sectors and my men can't fight all of them at once. None of you know me and I only know your names. Most of you haven't used a Persona yet, but I bet you've all got a few tricks up your sleeves. Magic, Weapons, Technology, whatever it is, bring it with you and we'll form you into teams. We were going to do this much more quietly later, but it looks like the Anoli have a different idea."

"Priority number one is to protect all civilians and to keep deaths as low as possible, even against the Anoli. Disarm, disable, diswhatever, as long as it's not kill and destroy. I'd rather let them in jail and face justice than to spill even more blood from this conflict." He turns around and starts to leave,

"If any of you lack weapons, talk to Q. I'm sure he'll be happy to provide you with some."

Policemen swarm around him and they start to go off in work and prepare, leaving you a bit of time before you are all called out in groups.

Well. This is more like what Naoya is used to. His expression stays completely neutral, even after the chaos begins, but as soon as the missions are announced, he sets about getting himself ready. He silently checks in with Amon-Ra in his mind, then starts a swift check over of the armor he has still underneath his school uniform. Check. Check.

A sword goes around his belt and a machine gun is looped over his shoulder by its strapped. Shoestrings are checked to be tight, then gloves pulled on. Last but not least is his helmet, which looks more like a motorcycle helmet than anything, hanging loosely from his fingers as he waits for a group to be called.

The police force seems to have everything under control, so no need to try and butt in.

Not long after Minato ollied over to get a weapon from Q, he catches sight of cool-earring-dude looking -- heavily armed. Sword and a machine gun? ... well, he guesses you never can know what you're going to go up against, and he can't really talk about being over-armed, given that Q had given him a flamethrower / laser combo... But still... Plus that armor...

"... you look prepared," he remarks.

Do you need a weapon? Yeah, Q's got that.

As you go over to him, the elder gentleman adjusts his tie, grinning.

"Well? Tell me a little about yourself."

He did so enjoy picking out things based on who that person was...

Oh gosh he's a little nervous!

"I...never really used actual weapons. I just used a program on my phone to fight." So, no swords or guns or anything like that.

Eiji figured this kind of thing would happen -- it never failed. Big gathering of people, nice expensive city buildings... and, invariably, monsters to menace the populace. Luckily, he had his OOO Driver with him. He snapped the belt on around his waist, but didn't bother with the medals yet. It seemed like these guys had their own way they wanted to tackle these Anoli guys, and he was happy to play along as long as it didn't mean putting anyone in danger. In his mind, lives were always more important than buildings or money or research.

"Hey, I know we haven't known each other for long, but everyone stay safe, okay? Being a hero is one thing, but your life is the most important thing you've got."

Gentarou gave a bit of a smirk as he saw Eiji slapping his Driver on. He followed suit, pulling out the Fourze Driver and doing the same, the belt materializing in a flash around him. While the belt itself had four Switches of varying shapes and colors inserted, he pulled out another, much larger one with a big red button on top of it.

Tossing and flipping the big switch end over end in his hand, he spoke up. "Eiji-san, they said the rest of our stuff's at our apartments, right?"

Clearly, carrying 40 Astro Switches on hand at any given time was an inconvenient thing.

But that could be taken care of, so long as they were here in this world.

Urataros slipped the Den-O belt around his midsection, a small black train pass at the ready.

He pushed his glasses up on his nose, sighing. "I never thought I'd say this, but it'd be nice to have senpai and the others around right about now..."

Given the choice, he'd really rather be out with a cute date than spend his night smacking some sense into monsters. But such was the life of a hero.

Atsuro jinxed them, man.

Yu had been expecting some kind of attack to happen ever since Atsuro mentioned they just needed the tutorial battle now, but he didn't exactly expect the ground to shake. Like most others, it didn't take much for him to lose his footing, but as usual he was keeping the people around him in mind first.

His arm flung out blindly toward the person closest to him, grabbing on and holding onto them protectively, in case any debris from the roof came crashing down from the explosion.

But still, nice grab! That blue wire around it is pretty thin, and despite the whole hovering thing, it was actually pretty stable.

Raidou immediately checks his gun, carefully pushing in bullets into the empty chamber - and returns it to the holster. He looks to Gouto, who nods as he goes over his sword, then the summoning pipes - everything is as it should be.

"You're... pretty prepared for battle, huh?" Gun and a sword. Atsuro, in contrast, stands with his laptop bag clutched firmly to his side to avoid it somehow being skewered in the sudden hurricane of weaponry being waved around.

Volstagg puffs his chest up. Finally, some action! True, Thor, Fandral, and Hogun may not be present, but Volstagg, the Lion of Asgard, was more than able to make up for them. In mass if not actual skill and power.

"Say no more, mortal! I, Volstagg, the Lion of Asgard, am known and feared throughout the Nine Worlds! Enemies tremble at the sound my footsteps!" That or they have trouble keeping their balance whenever his feet hit the ground. "Giants flee from my blade!" Or rather from Thor's lightning. "Trolls quiver in horror at my mighty form!" Or maybe they're just laughing.

There's a slight pause as he observes just how many sectors are having trouble. "...Normally, I'd be more than happy to take on these 'Anoles' myself, but it may be prudent to let the mortals here show just how skilled they can be in battle. However, place me wherever I may be of most use, I shall crush your enemies regardless!" Maybe he'll sit on them.

Volstagg draws his sword, raising it over his head. "They will soon fear your names, with an assemblage as mighty as this at your command! For Honor! For Glory! For..." He stops, then scratches his temple. "Um. What was this city called again?"

"Hinoto-Ri," said a voice from behind Volstagg. Soon, Ludwig was side-by-side with the big man. "You're certainly enthusiastic about battle. Of course, I don't blame you one bit." How could he? Ludwig himself was feeling a bit excited to be back in action. "Am I right in assuming that you'll be more than happy to take point?"

Yoshino bit her lower lip. She was more than a little worried, after what suddenly happened, but was managing to hold onto her resolve. This was reminding her of the battle with Belphemon... though the level of destruction was nowhere near that level.

Clenching her hand into a fist, a pink flash of digi-soul blazed up around it before flickering out. Whatever was needed, she would be there for... she just had to wait for an opportunity.

Ludwig had been through enough wars before to keep his cool during a crisis. Automatically, all his commander instincts snapped into place, and he was quite pleased to discover that his trusty Luger pistol was in his pocket. Unfortunately, his command instincts snapping into place also meant that he was attempting to take control of the situation, much like he did in battles decades ago. "Everyone! Take out your weapons! If you can't fight, retreat behind someone who can! Those who can fight, take point! Divide yourselves into the groups of those who can and can't fight- and if you can't fight, do as I said!" He wasn't going to activate his weapon just yet- wouldn't want a misfire- but he was damn close to doing so. The orders were basic, but they'd do for now.

Atsuro, in contrast to the others pulling out their weapons, immediately digs into his pockets and brings forth...!

When he's finished typing away, he brings up the Demon Summoning Program, and... pauses. If the demons were considered the main enemy, then... He shakes it off quickly. No. They would have to understand. His stock had somehow been reduced to six; none of the strongest of his allies had come along for the ride, but it would have to be enough. Atsuro sets Laskmi and Badb Catha into his party and snaps shut the COMP.

Tutorial battle, here we come.

"You there!" Was that a game system that boy just pulled out? Why would he do that? Surely there had to be a reason, but Ludwig couldn't take the chance. "Why would you pull out a game at a time like this? We're in a crisis! We have no time for games!" Ah, it felt good to bark out orders again, even if the target didn't quite deserve to be barked at. He approached Atsuro, his tone calming down a bit. "Unless that's not a game you pulled out. Will it help you fight?" Perhaps it would. Who was Ludwig to understand gadgets from other worlds?

This was more like it. While he wasn't happy to hear that people were in danger, he couldn't deny that he always felt his best when he was focused on the fight. Akihiko smirked as he tightened his gloves, before folding his arms and leaning against the wall he had taken up post beside, awaiting further instruction.

"Well then. Happy to go wherever I'm needed."

The very first thing he does, to the surprise of no one, is draw his sword. Its otherworldly white light stands out even in the midst of such advanced technology. Noting the lack of imminent danger, and listening to the announcements from the men on the sage, he sheathes his sword, looking no less determined than he did a moment ago. His shyness during the previous mingle seems to have faded away. He approaches the nearest looking official and asks firmly, "Do you have a map?"

Link's ready to go out there alone.

Your other self steps up behind you, pulling his own version of said sword from its sheath.

He's not used to working with other people but this sounds really really big. His face is set in determination as well.

"'Anoli...' What's with terrorists and names like that..?"

He doesn't need much explaining, since he's pretty well familiar with attacks like this already. Same old insurgency, just a different name. As a Ranger that served in the same level as BioCorp's headquarters, he is pretty well used to this flavor of crisis. He does a quick mental check of his supplies - sword's still there, emergency medical supplies are a check, but...

He would really feel better going into this with some handy-dandy explosives of his own, but that would be a little awkward to request considering the means being brought against them. Besides. The order is 'incapacitate.'

"Oh deary, deary me. Things are getting interesting already, I see!" She sounds amused. "All right. I suppose I can throw in once. Anyway, I would like to see this... 'Persona' thing at least once." She floats casually on her staff, avoiding the brunt of the shaking. "And it wouldn't do to see this place leveled to the ground before I've made any decisions about it, would it? Ho ho ho."

"...Sure you're not gonna switch sides to the Enoki halfway through?"

That was not the speech of a hero dedicated to serving the cause of justice, Misery. You should get on that.

Guybrush's immediate instinct upon the explosions is decisive and quick! Which is why he's under the table right now. Someone... might wanna make him get out.

Well, now that he's armed with a combination laser / flamethrower, Minato is just... lingering, waiting until more announcements come forth directing them. And in his milling about, that's when he notices movement under a table. Curious, he bends down and -- oh it's a person. ... a person who doesn't look too happy right now.

"Hey... are you all right?"

Once she is free from the children, there is a pale figure with dark grey hair watching from the distance as the others armed themselves. They seem to be far too used to these cries and the chaos for many to consider mentally stable, yet all she offers the scrambling crowd as they began to prepare being sent out was a faint smirk.

'And so it begins...'

Be careful, though. Blink once, and the figure in white may no longer be standing there...

Aww, how delightful this situation had turned! The explanation earlier had really given her a lot to think about in a pleasant manner. She was used to intense wars and creatures of immense powers. After all, she was a Champion herself and could be considered one such creature from her world.

The fact that they would be fighting against a common enemy just filled her with delight meaning that whenever they had to fight against those, she'd be able to not have to hold back! Drain as much precious essence as she wanted. Just the thought of it made her lick her lips in anticipation.

Until they said the part where they were keeping casualties to the minimum even amongst the enemy. She frowned and tilted her head curiously.

"Why exactly are we sparing the enemy?"

"..The enemy are people, not Genics."

It shouldn't need more explanation than that, right? While the Rangers weren't all that kind to the thorn in their own ruling body's side, Trinity - the thought of executing a thinking person in anything but a close call of life or death - it was an unsettling one, to Ryu. As long they kept this under control.. that didn't need to happen.

Well, she sure seemed to miss quite a bit while she was meeting up with her father. The Dark Hour, but lack of Shadows. The Fulls Moons still having an effect, and... also Takeba's father.

Not more than a few hours and this world's already throwing her for a loop.

Nonetheless, despite better judgement and the wanting to stay behind to help protect her father, Mitsuru knew she could be of use on the field. She didn't quite have the same field leadership capabilities as Minato all the time, but the people new to Persona would need some help, not to mention that not everyone was proficient in wielding a weapon.

She stands at the ready, hovering near the walls of where her father exited. They will not going to break through on her watch.

This had been a night of many emotions - for Minako, and even more certainly for the familiar red-haired young woman she spots standing by the door.

But one of Minako's greatest traits is her ability to bounce back. Speaking with Akihiko - and Minato - had prepared her for what could happen, and regardless of it Mitsuru could definitely use a friendly face right now. If there's a chance she can provide that, she has to try.

"Hello, Mitsuru-senpai..." An easy, friendly smile goes with the greeting. "This... may be a strange question, but do you remember me?"

Nanami kept her distance from the larger parts of the crowd, but observed the entire situation with a bemused expression. This was definitely an interesting place...

Though it was a shame she still had to take her marching orders from someone else.

Regardless, no reason not to follow along for now. She was quite curious to see what the deal was with these "Anoli" people, and find out about the functions of her "Persona..."

Still, in the end, she had means of covering for herself. She patted the device attached to her wrist, and smirked. She could definitely make better use of this power on her own than under any direction from Kurata...

After obtaining her fancy new energy spear from Q, Minako retreats to the edge of the crowd to give it a few test swings and generally get into the right mood for battle. So much had happened in such a short time... but there still wasn't the time to ponder it. She had a job to do, and she was prepared to do it.. to help protect these people, both the new ones she'd met, and old ones she'd reconnected with.

Honestly? It was a little exciting.

Despite her attempts at putting on her game face, anyone approaching will still get a smile and a friendly wave, as weapon swinging permits.

"Hey! Careful where you swing that thing!" Okay, so Eikichi might have not been looking where he was going at first, but it still didn't mean you could be swinging...whatever weapon that was supposed to be!

Yeap. Minako, it was that guy again, and he was carrying...a guitar case?

What.

Yamato is surprisingly calm in the flow of chaos around him. People were hurriedly prepping for battle, or running to the man named Q for weaponry, or scattering around making allies. Ah, it was like being in Japan again during the Invasion. It was funny enough to make Yamato laugh a little.

He didn't need a weapon, thankfully. His ability restricted physical attacks in return for amp'd magic, and if push came to shove, well, Yamato always had a back up plan.

"..It isn't that funny."

S'cuse Ryu, he's just going to be a little more on-edge than is tolerant of hearing someone laugh amidst all this burgeoning turmoil.

Now this was something Kisuke could easily understand, rather than some techno mumbo jumbo they were talking about previously. An enemy rushing into conquer? He'll let the Oboro style be useful to its full extent.

He put his hand on the handle of one of the Muramasa blades he carried, ready for any fighting.

While many new users grasp for others, or seem panicked, Elizabeth smiles (in excitement?) and draws her book from out of nowhere. Her one and only precious item left -- and the only weapon she needs.

Her smile halts a little when she opens the pages and sees they're blank, but she flips to Thanatos's and sighs, touching the words.

"It seems we have company, Thanatos. They're surely not as mighty as that beast, but that doesn't mean they won't make this challenging. You've changed since we got here, as well..." She frowns a little, glancing at his skills and stats, then shuts the book and tucks it under her arm.

"We may need more assistance than I first believed."

Besides, these 'groups' were incredibly important for building strong bonds and meeting new people. That grey-haired boy -- Sensei? -- he had had one, after all.

As had her guests.

Yu was a bit preoccupied as he walked brusquely through the crowd after obtaining his weapon, trying to hid how embarrassed he was. Dammit, he couldn't believe he reacted like that... he never let his fanboy side show like that. Hopefully not too many people heard that embarrassing squeak. He didn't want people to point and call him a nerd and...

He was a bit too preoccupied with his thoughts; that was why he didn't see the strange looking girl in blue until he bumped into her. Yu let out a faint noise, turning around instantly.

"I'm sor--"

...and cutting himself off. What the... that outfit...?

Well.

That escalated quickly.

Theodore, like his sister, has only his trusty five-pound Compendium and what else do they need, woefully lacking in Persona and only Metatron at his disposal. Though a powerful one indeed, it didn't even begin to hold a candle to the one his guest had fused once upon a time. Metatron wasn't even one of his favorite t use by far (that'd be Sandalphon, Metatron's twin in lore). But it'd get the job done, he supposes. Until the truth of the matter presented itself and he was able to return to the Velvet Room and continue his duties or be formally released from them as he suspected.

Still, fighting... was not one of his favorite occupations. Elizabeth had always liked the thrill better and would often go head-to-head with Margaret, while Theodore sat back and watched. Only if he needed to did he, and their duties did not often call upon it. In fact, the only time he did wish to fight it was worth every second and was the first step in his journey to finding his answer.

Regardless Theodore will do his best!!

... And wait for those groups to be called visibly uncomfortable and hope he maybe has a small party with someone he knows. People person he tries to be, does not always succeed unless he's got a directive in mind.

So, Minato is milling around with his laser / flamethrower that Q was kind enough to give him. There's no real good place to test it, not with so many people here. Besides, there's already enough chaos without him setting something on fire. Therefore, milling around it is, but in his milling, he sees a familiar flash of very familiar blue and gold with white on the head, and he heads over, thinking it'll be Elizabeth again.

Except that it isn't. Because that is not a dress, and the one wearing it is not female, though he does resemble Elizabeth in many ways. The similarities are too much to be coincidence, so Minato draws a bit close, clearing his throat.

"Ah -- pardon me, but... are you from the Velvet Room?"

"Damn..." Stuff going down, and he didn't have Lagann around. Not that he was completely helpless, but can't blame a guy for wishing he had what he was most comfortable using.

Oh well.

The keys he'd gotten from Q were stowed in the pocket of his coat, and he'd hauled out a large drill and was letting it rest on his shoulder. There was a small, brown creature on the opposite shoulder. Both Simon and Boota looked antsy - they wanted to go get things done, but this was really unfamiliar territory. And since there wasn't complete chaos and panic so far, perhaps giving the seemingly in-charge types the benefit of the doubt was a good idea.

Until then, though, he tapped his foot impatiently.

Daichi may have been a dumbass, but he could still read people fairly well. And this guy...

"What? You're actually looking forward to getting into a fight?"

Why did everyone around here seem so eager?!
