[Game Opening, Part 3 - A Call To Action]

After questions were answered, a man finally appears into the room, after having talked with his daughter.

"I apologize for making you all wait."

After introducing himself, Takeharu begins to explain in more detail what they've learned from this world. He goes on about the life in the city, the hurdles they had to overcome...and the strange phenomenon of the 13th hour.

"...and once midnight hits, a 13th hour commences. We had a name for a similar phenomenon in my world; the Dark Hour. However, this one doesn't seem to be caused by rampaging Shadows. We are still investigating as to why it exists...and in due time you might aid us in this task. You will all be able to observe it for yourselves quickly enough, although I would strongly suggest doing so in your own apartments. Not only are you all new visitors, previous Persona users or otherwise, but the moon is full tonight, which means the demonic population will be at a dangerous, aggressive level."

"Now before we continue, we should talk about the--"

"I repeat..."

"Damn! Six out of Twelve," A gruff-looking man stepped into the room. Judging from his outfit, he was important.

"I only know one group who's able to pull this off...the Anoli."

Takeharu looks at Kiyoshi and both men nod silently.

"We were going to talk about this later, but we don't have much time to explain who they are..."

More men appear; members of the city's Special Assault Team. About half of the men have a small flame insignia on their uniform's elbow; this signifies they are Persona users.

While Takeharu explains to the new arrivals, Kiyoshi is busy on some screens, and is talking to others by holographic projection.

"Give me a status report!"

"Sir! I've got two men down here. The doors are holding but we'll need backup as soon as you can give it to me!"

"I've got a group in route, and soon a Persona team as well."

"Reiko and myself are holding, but I believe they've been sending the blunt of their force here and in the Gemini area. No doubt to steal the prototypes we've been working on..."

"We should be able to fight them back for now, but I can't tell how many they are."

"I've got team Beta heading over. I'll send a team of Users as well."

"Sir! Massive attack in the Virgo Sector! They've broken some of the fences holding back the demonic population. There's risk of civilian casualties at this rate..."

"DAMMIT! Send a team of Wands there to patch that up as soon as they are available. I'll send a team with them to protect while they do their work."


"Sir! The Gemini Power Plant is under attack! I think they're attempting a blackout so they can get into the Laboratory."

"This is a nightmare. And where is--"

"--he went off to fight them."

"DAMMIT! We can't let him get harmed. I'm sending a team after him."

"Libra's Coin Office Tower is under attack, Sir! They're trying to get to the upper levels where we have the monetary databanks."

"A heist as well...damn they really went all out for this one...trying to cripple us from all angles."

When he's finally done, he turns over to the entire crowd. His voice is as booming as his body language. Despite the crisis he is calm and collected, easy to see why he is the Commissioner General.

"Alright listen up, since I can't repeat myself twice! We have a major crisis our hands. Anoli have broken into six sectors and my men can't fight all of them at once. None of you know me and I only know your names. Most of you haven't used a Persona yet, but I bet you've all got a few tricks up your sleeves. Magic, Weapons, Technology, whatever it is, bring it with you and we'll form you into teams. We were going to do this much more quietly later, but it looks like the Anoli have a different idea."

"Priority number one is to protect all civilians and to keep deaths as low as possible, even against the Anoli. Disarm, disable, diswhatever, as long as it's not kill and destroy. I'd rather let them in jail and face justice than to spill even more blood from this conflict." He turns around and starts to leave,

"If any of you lack weapons, talk to Q. I'm sure he'll be happy to provide you with some."

Policemen swarm around him and they start to go off in work and prepare, leaving you a bit of time before you are all called out in groups.

The crowd (just Atsuro) oohs and aahs in appreciation. He'll refrain from catching the remains as it falls back down, just in case it was burning hot or anything.

"Wow. I bet you could take out a demon in just a few zaps with that."

He enjoys the praise at any rate (could use some applause though). He remembers to click the pen off before continuing.

"I know, right? And according to Q-san, it can burn right through metal if I get close!"

[otakuro]

Atsuro will scold himself later for forgetting to clap. For now, he'll tentatively reach down and poke at the poor disintegrated pencil.

"You know, I didn't think I'd need anything, but maybe I should go pick up some toys, too."

[endears]

It'll be warm to the touch, but otherwise safe.

"Q-san's pretty cool, so he could definitely get you something good to use!" It'll be better than his fists at least?

[otakuro]

Nothing is better than his manly fists. Atsuro is a paragon of masculine strength and martial artistry. ...Still, he'll glance over at the line forming up behind Q thoughtfully.

"...I'll go slip in if the crowd starts to thin out. It's better to make sure people who can't fight at all get the good stuff first."

In comparison to Aoba, probably. Let all tremble before Kihara-kun's mighty body.

He crosses his arms. "That's pretty thoughtful, Kihara-kun. I'm sure they'll have something left for you!"

[otakuro]

"Heh... It's fine. I've gotten along well enough without anything up to now." Atsuro glances at the line and tries to stifle the throb of jealousy as someone walks away with what appears to be a hand-mounted rocket launcher.

"...Have you done much fighting before back home?"

He seconds that emotion; a weapon like that is much cooler than being lumbered with a pen, even if it probably is easier to use. Besides, a pen's just insulting. On the plus side, the fact someone else seems to be leaving with lipstick helps him feel a little better.

"... Not really? I'm not that strong."

[otakuro]

Little do they know that the lipstick is the most powerful weapon of all: a PEZ dispenser in disguise.

"Not much, huh... You sure you wanna put yourself through this? I don't think anyone would mind if you took a backseat role for the first mission or anything."

[endears]

Man, a PEZ dispenser is something you can rely on in pretty much any situation. Truly Q is the hero that Hinoto-Ri deserves.

"I'm... not too sure. I was brought here to help fight, right? I'm a little scared, but I don't really want to let anyone down either. "

[otakuro]

"Hah... They probably don't even know how many of us there are." He smiles in a facetious manner. "But I know what you mean. ...Just take it easy, then. You don't have to go all-out your first time."

[endears]

He sighs, some of the tension leaving his shoulders as he does so. "That'll probably be for the best; thank you, Kihara-kun."

"And who knows, maybe I'll take to fighting really well." The deadpan tone suggests he finds that doubtful at least.

[otakuro]

"Personally, I'll be happy when I never have to summon another demon again." Atsuro sighs to himself as well, though it seems he's absorbing some of Aoba's tension.

"Be careful out there."

[endears]

Peaceful days are over, after all.

"You too, Ki--" Wait, what?

"Ah, could you repeat that first part again?" The part that he obviously must have misheard?

[otakuro]

"Uh."

Atsuro's eyes dart back and forth as his cheeks turn slightly red.

"I said, uh. I'll be happy when I never have to... button a lee...men. Again. You know, the, uh, fancy brand of... shirts. From Germany."

[endears]

Aoba's eyes narrow, an almost incredulous look making its way on to his face.

"Oh...? So... that's something you've had to do a lot, Kihara-kun?" It's so bizarre he can't be sure if he's making it up.

[otakuro]

"What can I say? I... love Germany. Auf wiedersehen! Bonjour! Schadenfreude!"

One of these things is not like the other. This is a worse lie than 'gas leak'.

[endears]

... Is it even humanly possible for someone to be this bad at lying?! Sure, he's messed with some real schmucks in his time, but this is just a whole other level!

"They say bonjour in Germany now?" He's just morbidly curious as to how bad this can get before he has to confront the issue here.

[otakuro]

"...The eastern parts. Close to France. ...Wait, west. You know how they had the Berlin Wall; the, uh, western Germans learned a lot of French when that was going on."

Atsuro babbles on incoherently. It is a sad sight.

One of the saddest of sights.

"I'm not even sure which part of that I want to comment on... Didn't they have better things to do at that time?"

[otakuro]

"G-Geez... Go a little easy on the interrogation there." Atsuro sighs slightly before assuming a more serious expression. "Yeah, you probably heard right the first time. ...You remember what I was saying before about the end of the Bible?"

[endears]

He tilts his head, eyes scrunching up in thought. So... he really was talking about demons?

"Mm, that was something about the lockdown, right?"

[otakuro]

"...Yeah. Basically, God decided it was time to start Armageddon. So... demons."

He doesn't seem to be terribly eager to elaborate.

[endears]

"Wha..." He's. Just going to stare for a moment. This is the third time he's been told about some sort of apocalypse by this point however, so he recovers pretty quickly.

"I-I see. And you said you can summon them?"

[otakuro]

Apocalypses are in vogue nowadays. Aoba's missing out. Atsuro nods after a moment or two, speaking in a deliberately casual manner.

"It's the only way to fight them. Getting some of your own."
