Masquerade [Open to all]
Who: Everyone
Where: Near Scorpio's Central Art District
Summary: You all did good. Halloween is being celebrated in style.
Warnings: Nothing for the moment. Costumes?
Congratulations!
You've proven your worth to the city of Hinoto-Ri and this year the Masquerade is dedicated to you. You deserve the party, considering you saved the city from the Zodiac Monster! Besides, on the most powerful spiritual days, even the demons take a day off and enjoy a time of frightful good times with the humanoids.

The lights are all colored blue and purple, and the streets are filled with partygoers of all ages, in both fantastic and some-not-that-fantastic costumes. Pumpkins appear to be floating in the air, but once you come closer, you realize they are Pyro Jacks attending around. This is THEIR favorite holiday and they wouldn't have let it gone to waste!
Originally the Masquerade was to be celebrated around Scorpio's art center, but with the rebuilding still in process, it was moved close by, with the office of wands preparing all the charms needed. The streets need to be protected, considering the Full Moon was just a few days ago.
If you find yourself without any money, no worries! The Government has given you a bonus paycheck for your hard work last week. Costume shopping should be no problem, and the are still stores nearby selling their wears for last minute shopping!
With a small secure sector, it's sure to be an extra fantastic celebration of dancing, music and just watching both humans and demons going at it without much care. Candy is floating around thanks to the Pyro Jacks, grab something and try not to ruin your teeth. Hey, who IS that guy just passed by? Hard to tell.
After all, with these combination of Halloween costumes and a more high class masquerade ballgowns and masks, who knows is really human and who isn't?

His tone was actually somewhat cold, oddly, or as cold as he could make it. At first Alcor didn't even turn to actually look at him, but did after some time.
"Have you been taking care of my Shining One?"
...oh. Well. That'd be why, then???????
no subject
He wouldn't stand for it.
"Tch! Someone had to, as you so happily pulled another of your vanishing tricks," he snapped, taking a sharp, aggressive step forward. "I had to rescue him during that vicious event. Where were you?"
no subject
Hey, he called dibs first Yamato, don' be hatin'Saiduq's face turned pensive at that information, pressing his fingertips to his chin in consideration. What did he...?
"I am glad you took care of his safety." There, let's start with the positive. "However, he met me in tears, and I am concerned about it."
And, as an afterthought, "I did not vanish. I was asleep." TOTALLY MAKES IT BETTER ALKEWR GG
no subject
Instead he took a very deep, necessary breath.
"He was most likely in tears because he was worried about you, since you vanished when everything began going to Hell last week, you moronic fool," Yamato said scornfully, throwing Alcor a look of outright derision. "Although I don't know why. You're not worth it."
Yamato is vicious tonight.
But he's totally ignoring the sleeping thing because that is such a lame excuse Alker stars don't sleep. Yamato's going to start shunning you soon.
no subject
"I did not want him to worry about me. I was trying to recover more of myself." Alcor's eyes narrowed. "Given your previous reaction to my true form, I figured it was better to act now, instead of waiting until it came to that point again."
It's always amazing how he can be just that much more pointed at Yamato, even if he wishes he didn't have to be. But this was the 'language' Yamato seemed to understand the best.
no subject
"Your attempts to subtly shift the blame upon me are disgusting... but regardless, it doesn't matter whether or not you wished for him to worry about you; he did so anyway because he thinks of you as something worth worrying about. For some reason," Yamato muttered, finding himself disgruntled over this fact. The whole Alcor and Kaito friendship just made him very...
Not angry, not upset, no just - extremely uncomfortable in a way that made him border on nausea. He couldn't explain why. It made him feel awkward and unwelcome and gave him an urge to crawl under a rock whenever they were in his presence together - which quickly turned into anger, because he knew how to deal with that emotion better.
It was a very invasive feeling, and he did not care for it in the slightest.
no subject
Saiduq at least took a moment to actually frown and stop being so snippy. This wasn't about Yamato (or so he thought), it was about how yet again humanity's ability to bond like this confused him (cough yamato cough).
"I cannot express why, either, nor do I think you would care to hear theories on the subject." A sort-of sigh, and Alcor crossed his arms- something he had barely realized he had done. "What is this incident you mentioned, this 'Hell' week?" Did his family come for a reunion when he was sleeping or something? He couldn't imagine what else would make Yamato legitimately jumpy.
no subject
"...it is very easy to find out for someone like you," there was a sharp tone of derision in there, but Yamato, after a brief, dark pause, elaborated dully; "Those that possessed the Scorpio Astrology Sign were sent into a violent frenzy, attacking everyone and everything. There was a massive invasion of Scorpion like monsters, as well as a powerful being that attacked the area - upon its death, however, the Scorpios went back to normal, and the Scorpion monsters vanished."
Another brief pause.
"It is possible that next month, those of the Sagittarius astrology sign might undergo the same personality change, and so forth until it cycles through all of the signs."
Which means, eventually, Yamato would succumb as well...
no subject
No, it ran deeper. The star dropped his arms, narrowed his brows impossibly, and eventually, closed his eyes as his energy spiked.
"...how juvenile. How utterly, pointlessly pointed he must be, at all times..."
Yeah, stardad's mad.
no subject
Although Yamato had seen Alcor irritated or disgruntled, he had very rarely seen him genuinely angry. Well, not to the point where he could feel his energy surge anyway. Yamato's skin was prickling like it received a static shock, and he held himself up stiffly in response, his posture defensive.
He hesitated, a bit of old, childish awe/fear trickling in before he ruthlessly squashed it. He was not a young child, holding Alcor up on a pedestal any more!
"Who's 'he'?" Yamato asked. He had meant to be demanding, but it came out more as a quiet question.
Yes, okay, not even Yamato would prod a genuinely furious Alcor.
no subject
It took actual focus to calm himself, and even then it came in stages.
"I cannot tell you more, or I risk you or the Shining One becoming involved. That is not an inch I could allow him." Saiduq shook his head. "This is a matter of gods. He will be dealt with, and the problem eliminated."
Stern, efficient, and on a need to know basis. Maybe dadcor really did raise Yamato.
no subject
Yamato didn't, but he knew better than to question Alcor further. He would get nothing, and it would simply be a waste of breath to try. However...
"But if this matter continues to include us? What then? Or shall we just sit around waiting for faceless beings to eventually settle something that freely uses us as their playthings?"
Okay, Yamato's tone is a bit accusing here. He disliked being thought and used of as a tool, considering his suspicions towards Alcor's motives regarding him as a kid...
no subject
That was all he apparently saw fit to say. His feelings on the subject went beyond even his own scope of understanding, into territory that scared even himself. He didn't want to dwell on what it meant for mankind. He simply wanted to eradicate it.
And yet, deep down, he knew that such a path would lead only to that which YHVH had become. The star closed his eyes, stewing for a moment longer.
"It's my duty as he who sits on the heavenly throne." Even if that was only something he was through Kaito and Daichi's memory, he still intended to take the role seriously.
no subject
"There is no heavenly throne here, Alcor," he said, his smirk almost vicious as he crossed his arms over his chest. "But your arrogance has grown since I last remembered..."
Alcor will end this mystery entity that caused the fiasco last week? He said it with such ease and conviction, and yet, why didn't he do it now, since it almost killed his precious Shining One? Yamato's darkly amused expression immediately vanished, his eyes narrowing slightly.
"...but I will not rely only on you to deal with this matter if it occurs again. Humanity as a whole does not to be shielded and coddled by a God."
Humans were the strongest and versatile of species. Although Yamato had intended to negotiate with Polaris, he knew a show of strength would have been required. There would have been no coddling! They would have demonstrated humanity's true potential, to grow strong and capable of dictating their own fate. To have Alcor say he would deal with this if it occurred again, without allowing them a chance at retribution for the entity's crimes towards them...
It left a sour taste in his mouth.
