The Search for the Newcomers, November 2012 Edition.

Who: Open to Everyone, but only Newly Accepted Characters can start threads.
Where: All around the city, anywhere from the 5th to the 20th.
Summary: Newcomers arrive and by now the Government is more ready and sends everyone out to go people hunting.
Warnings: ARRIVALS. Also assume the first thread is the ones who tell you about the city, and the other tags for the character can be talking with others in the city and learning more about it.

[FOR THOSE IN THE CITY:]
They were getting much better at this, it was for certain.

The COMPS had been upgraded with a new program, HORUS which allowed them to spot abnormalities; if something or someone showed up suddenly in a city that was constantly scanned, then there was a high probability it was a newcomer. There was also a sort of left energy from the travel; the Wise Men called it leftover Magatama Residue, where the magical energy used to pull them to this world and keep the String intact was still faintly present around them. It wouldn't last more than a few minutes, however, and due to the fact they could appear in most parts of the city, it made finding the newcomers was both easy yet frustratingly difficult. As the blips appear on your radar function, they were nice enough to calculate for you the best transport and destination routes to take to get there.

Now it was just left up to chance and make sure you got there fast enough that you were still able to find them relatively easily. For the most part, the fact they stuck out would most certainly help...

[FOR THOSE WHO JUST ARRIVED:]
You're not in your homeworld anymore. That much is evident. So how do you feel? Happy? Sad? Troubled? A little of all three? No matter what, the memories of a butterfly man named Philemon are fading like a dream; you'll remember the details, but perhaps not everything he has said.

There is one word that stays with you, however.

Persona.

So...here to save the city, huh? First you'll need to find out more information. And who knows, maybe a familiar face or two...

[OOC: As stated above, only new characters can start a thread, but feel free to jump in any of them. characters arrive with their clothing and whatever items they had on them the moment they were taken; the remaining items will be later found in their apartments.]

Gale wasn't quite sure what to make of all this. It was better than dying—he didn't feel dead, even if the nearest building proclaimed it had live girls, implying others had dead ones—but it was obviously not the promised Nirvana either. Nirvana would most likely not need saving, for one. For two, he would not have the cursed hunger still lingering in his stomach and the demon whispering at the back of his mind. For three, in Nirvana, there would be no use for him to have an assault rifle in hand.

There seemed to be one logical action to take: find Serph and the others. They should be in the same area.

Kazuya was bored. When the new arrivals, well, arrived, Kazuya decided to bite and pick the first little blip on his new funky radar to have a peek at the lucky, lucky winner. Of course, he didn't mess around with transportation or anything.

Instead Kazuya teleported.

Problem was, was that his teleportation skills were still very much temperamental. Oh, he usually arrived wherever he wanted to go, but sometimes it either slammed him right into a wall, a lamppost, a pool, or even upside down to land on his head.

This time his teleporting made him appear right atop of Gale. Welp. How fast are your reflexes, Gale?

Lightning fast, in fact, honed by years of programming. In the blink of an eye, Gale has taken a stop forward, spun around to immobilize the fallen King of Bel with his foot and aimed his rifle right at the boy's forehead. "Who are you and what is this place," he demanded to know.

[belfire]

"Oof. Ow..."

Kazuya looked more disgruntled over his landing than the rifle in his face, and he lounged almost lazily on the ground as if he had intended to do that all along, gazing up past the firearm to give Gale an irritable look.

"Well that's nice. I know I almost squished you but that doesn't mean you wave that in my face. Get off."

"You are the one who attacked me."

Nonetheless, Gale removed his foot and stepped back.

[belfire]

"I didn't attack you."

Kazuya climbed to his feet, readjusting his headphones and his cape. He cleared his throat and settled his hands on his narrow hips, managing to adopt a rather dignified air despite his, er, less than dignified entrance.

"Anyway, welcome to Hinoto-Ri and blah blah blah. It isn't important. Basically you were dragged here by Philemon to defend this city from some kind of threat with your sparkly new Persona. Isn't that awesome."

"No. I am not awed. Who is this Philemon? What is Persona? Explain." Gale is asking you nicely. He'll even lower his gun to prove it!

[belfire]

Too bad you're asking someone who has little patience to explain...!

"I should've just stayed in bed..." Kazuya groaned, "Philemon is creepy butterfly mask guy who dragged us here for some unknown reason. Persona is, from my understanding, a reflection of your true self that can kick ass."

Just Gale's luck.

"The terms you use mean nothing to me. I already 'kick ass' on my own."

[belfire]

Kazuya's gaze rested on the rifle. "I can see that. It's a useful back up weapon anyway. Especially since this place messes with your powers, if you have any."

You use such sloppy words, you remind Gale of Heat.

"I have the power of Atma. It is not gone. I can feel it in me still. How does this place interferes with powers?"

[belfire]

Atma? Kazuya's curiosity was peaked, but he put it on the backburner for now.

"Well, like you got a first hand show of, it just fucks with it. My teleporting isn't working right, and I can't use magic as well as I normally can. I can't even summon my minions anymore! It's pretty shitty, to be honest. Might want to test drive that 'Atma' power of yours to make sure it's in full working order."

That was worrying, to say the least. Was he still in control of Vayu, then? What if he ate that boy?

"For your safety, it is better I do not test it now."

[belfire]

"Yeah. Don't really want to get exploded or anything," Kazuya said warily, shifting back a step. He suddenly grinned though. "But we should probably take you to your quarters, right? The Pisces district is where all the newcomers are going so, I'll just lead you there."

A district where all newcomers go? That means he could maybe find some information... He put the safety back on his rifle.

"Very well. Lead the way."

[belfire]

Kazuya turned on his heel, his cape flaring out dramatically, and began to stalk towards the Pisces district. It's obvious by his swagger that he is a very self-confident man.

Someone had happened to be close by when he showed up and Miki had run over a few minutes later.

"Hey!" ...she realized she hadn't really prepared welcome speeches or something. "Uh you're new here right?"

Smooth Miki.

Very Smooth.

Strange. He had never seen this person before, and she did not bear any Atma brand. How could this be?

"I do not know what 'here' is. Therefore, I must be new."
