The Search for the Newcomers, November 2012 Edition.

Who: Open to Everyone, but only Newly Accepted Characters can start threads.
Where: All around the city, anywhere from the 5th to the 20th.
Summary: Newcomers arrive and by now the Government is more ready and sends everyone out to go people hunting.
Warnings: ARRIVALS. Also assume the first thread is the ones who tell you about the city, and the other tags for the character can be talking with others in the city and learning more about it.

[FOR THOSE IN THE CITY:]
They were getting much better at this, it was for certain.

The COMPS had been upgraded with a new program, HORUS which allowed them to spot abnormalities; if something or someone showed up suddenly in a city that was constantly scanned, then there was a high probability it was a newcomer. There was also a sort of left energy from the travel; the Wise Men called it leftover Magatama Residue, where the magical energy used to pull them to this world and keep the String intact was still faintly present around them. It wouldn't last more than a few minutes, however, and due to the fact they could appear in most parts of the city, it made finding the newcomers was both easy yet frustratingly difficult. As the blips appear on your radar function, they were nice enough to calculate for you the best transport and destination routes to take to get there.

Now it was just left up to chance and make sure you got there fast enough that you were still able to find them relatively easily. For the most part, the fact they stuck out would most certainly help...

[FOR THOSE WHO JUST ARRIVED:]
You're not in your homeworld anymore. That much is evident. So how do you feel? Happy? Sad? Troubled? A little of all three? No matter what, the memories of a butterfly man named Philemon are fading like a dream; you'll remember the details, but perhaps not everything he has said.

There is one word that stays with you, however.

Persona.

So...here to save the city, huh? First you'll need to find out more information. And who knows, maybe a familiar face or two...

[OOC: As stated above, only new characters can start a thread, but feel free to jump in any of them. characters arrive with their clothing and whatever items they had on them the moment they were taken; the remaining items will be later found in their apartments.]

"I do not. They sound almost like the Raven Guard, but they are black and white in their heraldry. Strange."

But then the Raptors are a successor chapter but HE DOESN"T KNOW THAT. WOO TIME DIFFERENCES.

"Yes, yes! I recall them saying things such as 'By the Raven', whatever that means."

That one time when he surprised one and violently killed it, yes.

"Interesting. I wonder why they changed the color of their armor."

He seems inclined to contemplate that, then looks back at the Tau.

"Still, I would have heard had the sons of Corax and the sons of Guilliman discovered a not-unfriendly xeno empire, or so I would have thought."

.... unless Horus kept that from them.

"Sons of Corax..." He shook her helmeted head.

"I am no friend of theirs. All of them are dead, including their leader, who I slayed myself."

The Captain was shinier than the others, that is how he could tell. But as far as Kais mistakenly knew, their Captain was their head honcho.

"These Sons of Corax kidnapped our leader and started a fight which the Imperial Majesty's Ultramarines ended so we could focus on...on....the terror."

He dragged out the names as he knew them, wondering if added all that made it sound more important. He frankly was proud of killing all of those Space Marines, especially because they made him feel so small in comparison. The child killing a giant.

Loken stands in shocked silence for a long time. The idea of this Xenos slaying Astartes is.... frankly madness to him. But his last words provoke his interest again, and he asks, tentatively.

"The Terror?"

He had a lot of help from grenades, jacked melta guns, and suicide drones but, hey...

"The terror. They came out of the walls. Giant, evil creatures. Some were just like you but with horns. 'Heretics' were what they were called."

"You stood against them with Ardias? I think I understand why he spared you, for the moment at least. Well, that Terror is here as well. Daemons and worse things, sorcery and other foulness."

He pauses, "I do not welcome you, for you are anathema to me and humanity, however I will not slay you if you will stand against Chaos here."

In a way, Loken supposes he is paying this Xeno back for the strange psykers that saved him from imprisonment by Luther in Aldurukh.

"H-Here?" Oh god, why. He thought there was something wrong but not on this level.

"If they are here then I must fight them also. The Greater Good demands that I must and would urge that I ally with those of the same cause."

[greyerrant]

"Good."

He pauses, realizing there are other newcomers yet to speak to.

"I will go now." He rumbles.

"Do not harm the humans here, or I will slay you."

[greatergone]

"I have no grudge against humans but...I will not back down from a threat."

Because it certainly got his blood boiling.

[greyerrant]

"There is a difference between a threat and a statement of consequences. Consider that for a moment. I did not say, 'I am going to kill you regardless of your actions.' I said, 'if you harm humans, I will slay you.'"

Loken manages to look annoyed in his armor, and begins to walk away.
