The Search for the Newcomers, November 2012 Edition.

Who: Open to Everyone, but only Newly Accepted Characters can start threads.
Where: All around the city, anywhere from the 5th to the 20th.
Summary: Newcomers arrive and by now the Government is more ready and sends everyone out to go people hunting.
Warnings: ARRIVALS. Also assume the first thread is the ones who tell you about the city, and the other tags for the character can be talking with others in the city and learning more about it.

[FOR THOSE IN THE CITY:]
They were getting much better at this, it was for certain.

The COMPS had been upgraded with a new program, HORUS which allowed them to spot abnormalities; if something or someone showed up suddenly in a city that was constantly scanned, then there was a high probability it was a newcomer. There was also a sort of left energy from the travel; the Wise Men called it leftover Magatama Residue, where the magical energy used to pull them to this world and keep the String intact was still faintly present around them. It wouldn't last more than a few minutes, however, and due to the fact they could appear in most parts of the city, it made finding the newcomers was both easy yet frustratingly difficult. As the blips appear on your radar function, they were nice enough to calculate for you the best transport and destination routes to take to get there.

Now it was just left up to chance and make sure you got there fast enough that you were still able to find them relatively easily. For the most part, the fact they stuck out would most certainly help...

[FOR THOSE WHO JUST ARRIVED:]
You're not in your homeworld anymore. That much is evident. So how do you feel? Happy? Sad? Troubled? A little of all three? No matter what, the memories of a butterfly man named Philemon are fading like a dream; you'll remember the details, but perhaps not everything he has said.

There is one word that stays with you, however.

Persona.

So...here to save the city, huh? First you'll need to find out more information. And who knows, maybe a familiar face or two...

[OOC: As stated above, only new characters can start a thread, but feel free to jump in any of them. characters arrive with their clothing and whatever items they had on them the moment they were taken; the remaining items will be later found in their apartments.]

The blue-eyed boy settled down on his perch, staring curiously at the odd assortment of tools and bottles Eikichi had lined up on the counter with ease, but not touching any of them. He tilted his head at the older teenager's answer, smile broadening for a few moments before nodding in acknowledgement. "A Persona is like a mirror, thus a Persona-user can never escape from their true self... The people who dwell within this city must lead interesting lives, for so many to have awoken and given form to their everyday masks."

And after that comment, he'll go along with the subject change easily enough.

"The name I chose for this form is Pharos," his small smile broadened. Should the Persona decide to enlighten the older teenager of his newest roommate's identity, Pharos will not deny it. He really doesn't have any reason to lie, but psshaw to giving straight answers. "Hades knew me once by a different title however."

Oh okay...that wasn't strange at all, of course. Eikichi leaned on one arm and began to rub his fingers together before speaking, thinking about everything he had said. Part of that speech sounded almost eerily too much like Philemon, but he chose not to speak that out loud.

"Did he..." He stopped speaking for a few seconds after that before blurting out a name. "...Thanatos!" His eyes lit up, recognizing the name. ...although it was probably not a good idea to blurt out that the reason it did rang any bells was that he used to read the Saint Seiya manga.

He then knelt down on the wall so he'd be a closer eye height to him. Even if he was talking with the personification of death in small child form, Eikichi was incredibly controlled and quiet.

And also wanted some answers.

"..d'you mind explaining to me what you're doing here exactly? Not in my bathroom, but here as in Hinoto-Ri."

"Yes," Pharos nodded. You get simple yes or no answers from this one when he's not going off on one of his more cryptic spiels. Yep, not strange at all, really. ... Study up on your mythology, bro, if that's the only reason it rings any bells.

Then his smile fades, giving sway to a more thoughtful expression as he pondered the next question from his perch on the toilet. Personally, he had no reason to be here since his only personal goal was locating Minato or Minako and even that wasn't pressing. While the continuation of his existence as Pharos was... nice, it was only temporary at the best. Why had he been brought to this world?

"... Philemon desires the salvation of this world, I believe," Pharos said finally, looking squarely at the face almost level with his own. Not salvation in death as Nyx believed it, but salvation as in saving the world from its own destruction. And Nyarlathotep wants humanity to self-implode and destroy itself, there is nothing new about that.

In other words, like he understands why they would chose the child personification of Death as one of the many souls taken to this universe in order to preserve it. And considering he had a mission to complete back in his universe, it's... a little disconcerting to be prevented from just getting on with it.

"...I guess..." he replied trailing off. Eikichi's dealing with Philemon were rather awkward after he had learned about the grand experiment between him and Nyarlathotep. Not that he was willing to share that information so publicly.

And no he isn't going to brush up on mythology. Jun was the guy who was good at this. Eikichi was doomed.

"Can't be helped. Tch." He sighed before looking at Pharos again, offering a small, tired smile. "Name's Eikichi Mishina, by the way. I don't think I even gave you my name yet. Of course not every day some guy shows up in my bathroom."

And hopefully this would be one of the last times. At least appear in his kitchen area, bro.

Pharos shrugged idly, and his smile returned to match the one Eikichi gave him and tapped the back of his ankles against the smooth surface of the toilet.

Dude, a majority of your life consists of dealing with these very same mythological figures living in peoples' heads and giving them crazy powers, wouldn't it be a good idea to—ah, let's just accept Eikichi is doomed when it comes to this.

"It's a pleasure to meet Hades' kindred spirit, Eikichi-san," the small boy in the striped uniform chuckled a bit, his smile and tone of voice gaining a wry edge and revealing none of his inner peevishness at the untimely malfunction of his teleportation powers that had been occurring since his arrival. "It was an accident, appearing in your bathroom. My original destination lies elsewhere." A whim of fortune! "I'm sorry if I startled you unintentionally."

Aw, alright. Well, is the living room okay for sudden out-of-thin appearances.
