The Search for the Newcomers, November 2012 Edition.

Who: Open to Everyone, but only Newly Accepted Characters can start threads.
Where: All around the city, anywhere from the 5th to the 20th.
Summary: Newcomers arrive and by now the Government is more ready and sends everyone out to go people hunting.
Warnings: ARRIVALS. Also assume the first thread is the ones who tell you about the city, and the other tags for the character can be talking with others in the city and learning more about it.

[FOR THOSE IN THE CITY:]
They were getting much better at this, it was for certain.

The COMPS had been upgraded with a new program, HORUS which allowed them to spot abnormalities; if something or someone showed up suddenly in a city that was constantly scanned, then there was a high probability it was a newcomer. There was also a sort of left energy from the travel; the Wise Men called it leftover Magatama Residue, where the magical energy used to pull them to this world and keep the String intact was still faintly present around them. It wouldn't last more than a few minutes, however, and due to the fact they could appear in most parts of the city, it made finding the newcomers was both easy yet frustratingly difficult. As the blips appear on your radar function, they were nice enough to calculate for you the best transport and destination routes to take to get there.

Now it was just left up to chance and make sure you got there fast enough that you were still able to find them relatively easily. For the most part, the fact they stuck out would most certainly help...

[FOR THOSE WHO JUST ARRIVED:]
You're not in your homeworld anymore. That much is evident. So how do you feel? Happy? Sad? Troubled? A little of all three? No matter what, the memories of a butterfly man named Philemon are fading like a dream; you'll remember the details, but perhaps not everything he has said.

There is one word that stays with you, however.

Persona.

So...here to save the city, huh? First you'll need to find out more information. And who knows, maybe a familiar face or two...

[OOC: As stated above, only new characters can start a thread, but feel free to jump in any of them. characters arrive with their clothing and whatever items they had on them the moment they were taken; the remaining items will be later found in their apartments.]

Link was sitting on his bed, polishing his Mirror Shield with the Goron Tunic. There was a spot just... there... that needed something rubbed off of it.

... The sudden presence in the room, made his ears perk up a bit and twitch. He turned to face the boy, and flailed, dropping the shield.

"H... hi?"

Seated on the bed as well, the being that appeared to be a ten-year old child, blinked in surprise at both his location and Link's flailing reaction. Apparently he had gotten to a bedroom like he had wanted, but it was the wrong bedroom. Why did this keep occurring? That made it three consecutive mistakes in where he desired to teleport.

But first, he needed to return the hesitant greeting from the blonde-haired teenager, didn't he?

"Hello," Pharos said pleasantly in response.

"Um... who are you? And what are you doing in my room?"

Not that he really minded people coming over, but usually they at least knocked!

Absentmindedly; "Ah, I'm Pharos."

He hopped off of the bed, and huffed softly to himself, exhaling a burst of air from his lips. "I can't seem to reach the place I was aiming for." How tedious. The child with vivid blue eyes then turned around to face Link, arms hanging loosely at his sides and tiny shoulders sloped.

"I'm Link."

He smiles gently at Pharos. "Where are you looking for? Maybe I can help you find it. I'm good at finding things."

The gentleness of the blonde hero's smile does put him at ease slightly, but the personification of death doesn't move a muscle as he stands there, unblinking.

"I'm looking for my friend," Pharos admitted. It was a unsettling first for him to be unable to locate his host(s) at the blink of an eye, at the twitch of a pinkie finger. "... You'll help?"
nofairy: (peace.)

"Oh! I know how that can be. Of course I'll help." He said it like there really was no option that led to him not helping. "Who's your friend? What do they look like? Maybe I've seen them around."

That'd be the RPG protagonist syndrome kicking in, wouldn't it. His brow knitted together before his face cleared in acceptance, and he leaned forward slightly. "Young teenager, wearing a school uniform and a pair of headphones around their neck. Their last name is Arisato."

Also, Minato naps everywhere and Minako has the reddest eyes you'll ever see. Please note they are often relentless in forming social links and create them all over the place, and will attempt to form one with you if they like you.

Yep. Link thought for a moment. "I think I've seen them around. But I don't know them... hm. I bet we can knock on doors and ask where they live."

[personal profile] the_usual_stuff 2012-11-17 09:07 pm (UTC)(link)
"Ah, good idea," he nodded, ignorant of the realization that this could possible be rather annoying to the people who lived behind said doors and weren't Minako or Minato. "Then let us go."

And then, to underscore this, he... vanished into thin air. His outline faded out from the inside first, the edges of his form disappearing last, and Pharos abruptly reappeared next to the door of Link's bedroom, supernaturally bright blue eyes looking expectingly back at the blonde teenager. Walking is for mortals!
