The Search for the Newcomers, November 2012 Edition.

Who: Open to Everyone, but only Newly Accepted Characters can start threads.
Where: All around the city, anywhere from the 5th to the 20th.
Summary: Newcomers arrive and by now the Government is more ready and sends everyone out to go people hunting.
Warnings: ARRIVALS. Also assume the first thread is the ones who tell you about the city, and the other tags for the character can be talking with others in the city and learning more about it.

[FOR THOSE IN THE CITY:]
They were getting much better at this, it was for certain.

The COMPS had been upgraded with a new program, HORUS which allowed them to spot abnormalities; if something or someone showed up suddenly in a city that was constantly scanned, then there was a high probability it was a newcomer. There was also a sort of left energy from the travel; the Wise Men called it leftover Magatama Residue, where the magical energy used to pull them to this world and keep the String intact was still faintly present around them. It wouldn't last more than a few minutes, however, and due to the fact they could appear in most parts of the city, it made finding the newcomers was both easy yet frustratingly difficult. As the blips appear on your radar function, they were nice enough to calculate for you the best transport and destination routes to take to get there.

Now it was just left up to chance and make sure you got there fast enough that you were still able to find them relatively easily. For the most part, the fact they stuck out would most certainly help...

[FOR THOSE WHO JUST ARRIVED:]
You're not in your homeworld anymore. That much is evident. So how do you feel? Happy? Sad? Troubled? A little of all three? No matter what, the memories of a butterfly man named Philemon are fading like a dream; you'll remember the details, but perhaps not everything he has said.

There is one word that stays with you, however.

Persona.

So...here to save the city, huh? First you'll need to find out more information. And who knows, maybe a familiar face or two...

[OOC: As stated above, only new characters can start a thread, but feel free to jump in any of them. characters arrive with their clothing and whatever items they had on them the moment they were taken; the remaining items will be later found in their apartments.]

Ah... Was he not clear enough? He'd better explain. "I mean like. How much sex do you have around here? Can you tell me?"

Nope, not going to answer. Instead of letting her persona out, Yukiko does a very unlikely innkeeper thing: punch this weirdo in the face while going completely red in the cheeks.

Sitting up he puts a hand to his face where she hit him. She's not exactly a gentle lily is she... Owch. "I like! Didn't mean that like I was interested you know!!"

Be lucky her potential boyfriend wasn't there; do you really want to die after something like that?

Speaking of potential boyfriend... look who decided to show up? Yu was just innocently on his way to job number one when he happened upon this little scene... and well, he wanted to say he was confused at first.

But then he remembered how Yukiko dealt with the reporters. And Yosuke.

"Is something wrong?" he asked, coming up beside her, but keeping an obvious neutral stance on the situation. After all, no matter what happened back in that castle, Yukiko was far from being a princess in distress.

He's lived this long!!!! No, who knows. But he'll pick himself up, brushing off. "Doesn't that like, depend on your perspective?"

No Hong Kong... Not really.

"I just wanna-" He pauses as another guy shows up though. This is either the police... or her brother. Wow. Well if he's learned anything at this point it's how to escape arrest!! M-maybe...

"Asking about my bust size as well as how intimate I was with someone is your kind of good perspective?!"

Dude, do not try and anger her more. You will seriously regret it.

Yu's expression did not change at her exclamation... but did it suddenly get chilly for anyone else? Particularly you, Hong Kong?

"...he did what?"

There are some serious icicles coming off his voice.

"..." Wow. He could apologize. But they sound seriously repressed. Also it has not been a kind time lately.

"I asked about sex. Like heard of it?" HE CAN EXPLAIN MEDICALLY IF NECESSARY...

Hold her back Yu because she's ready to summon Amaterasu any second.

"You should hold me back before I do anything I'll regret." Yukiko replied in a low tone, almost like hissing. She might end up causing him major harm and that's not what she needed right now.

Yu just placed a hand on her shoulder -- a poor effort of holding someone back granted, considering he was a few inches away from frying the poor bastard himself. Still, the truth was important, and finding out why was better than instantly attacking.

Usually.

"Calm down," he said softly, before flicking his gaze over to Hong Kong. He had one very simple question, though he had a feeling he already knew the answer. "Why would you ask a stranger about something like that so suddenly?"

Do you Yu? Do you? Hong Kong shoves his hands into his pockets. "Cause there's like a really special Hell I don't wanna go back to, you know?" Maybe his way of picking up information is a little unorthodox... But it's not like there's any good way to ask 'hey how many times a month are you forced to have sex against your will here'.

"It's normal of newcomers to wanna know what kind of place this is right?"

"Yes, it is normal to ask what kind of place this is." Yukiko started to speak, "but asking those type of questions can make people get upset."

She's starting to get calmer but the whole thing is just so...embearassing!

...Yukiko, no, please.

"Special Hell?" he asked. "And this has to do with the question you asked?"

[genkigal]

...They're gonna get nowhere fast, hunh. "Why don't we like sit down somewhere with a drink and I'll explain properly. I'll pay as an apology. They give you money when you arrive here, yeah?"

He totally knows how this goes! He's getting slicker at this! ...Sort of. He's still questionable to take out in public, sorry.

"Not...that I'm aware of."

"That comes a day or so later," Yu supplied; his first allowance hadn't gone through until the next day.

...Well. That wasn't too responsive. Maybe he was just really weird to them what was your first clue Hong Kong. Ah... "You two like. Don't do the welcome wagon thing often, do you."

He's not really sure how to approach this himself with them sort of staring at him...

Of course you're weird: asking sex questions off the top of your head will make people question you. But how does one answer this with grace and tact?

"It depends on the person."

...well, at least that sounded civil, right?

Yu didn't say anything to that, but he didn't need to. He did, however, reach up and wrap his arm around Yukiko's shoulders as he kept his neutral gaze on the other man. This was as clear an indication as any that he was not pleased with him asking his potential girlfriend such questions.
